  1. W.A.S.P. were top. You can't beat those old 80s metal bands even though they're all grandads. Off to see the Heaven n Hell on 13th Nov @ NEC.
  2. You don't need a degree to work it out. It's one of the most basic emotions. Even animals get it. Plain and simple jealousy.
  3. Looked at it about 10 years ago but had a back injury to sort out. Where did you go to learn? Paravion down in Marlborough? How much does it cost now?
  4. This begs to ask the question. The driver was only 19. Should somebody with at the most 2 years experience be behind the wheel of a car as powerful as a Supra? With motor bikes if you're under 21 you can't ride anything more powerful than 33 bhp. Maybe cars will need this to prevent another family going through the same experince as Karl's.
  5. My mate wants to drive mine. He's a good lad and top fun. Sadly he went to the Playstation Skool of Motoring. He's rolled 5 cars! We went kart racing for his birthday and he came last. He's go no idea of cornering, maintaining energy, lines etc. I qualified 2nd in the grid for the final race so as it was his birthday I let him have my kart and he lost 4 places in the first lap! He drives a saxo. Somehow I don't think so.
  6. Make sure she tells you where to find the G-spot first. I forgot to ask my ex before I gave her the P45 and I'm totally clueless. But who cares I do know the difference between a Veyron and Typhoon.
  7. All the best nice knowing you. Can you mention me in your will?
  8. 10 years! Is that all? You're a mere puppy. 27 years designing fuel injection systems. In my Professional opinion I'd say it was power to weight ratio with a sub 1 tonne chassis. Better acceleration, handling, braking and economy.
  9. LOL!! I can tell you're not an engineer with a definition like that! Power is a the product of torque x rotational speed. It's still torque, not as you say BHP. You need high torque at the high speed range to ensure you can overcome the cars mass, rolling tyre resistance and wind resistance. Performance engines deliver max torque at the top rev range to ensure they can still accelerate at high speeds.
  10. A few weeks ago I had a nice burn up against an ST with me staring at the back end and I must say I was quite impressed with it and more so with the driver's skill. It was on the A40 from Andoversford into Cheltenham. My Supe is stock UK. No straight lines. It's all bends hovering. We were around 90-110 leptons. Dare I say I was stepping out on the other lane whereas he was holding his line. Unashamedly I didn't get past him. Oncoming traffic and a 120+ overtake speed on a single twisty carriageway with a reservoir on one side. Can't win them all. It's not always about BHP and top speed. There's the other factor - driver stupidity (skill). LOL!!
  11. and the chrome headlight, the headlight washers, bigger front discs
  12. Keep shtumm about this or the batmen will declare your house as a bat sanctuary and because they're protected you'll have to be evicted.
  13. I bet when all your thousand wash grey Y fronts are too crusty you 'accidently' fall into a set of Jem's lacey lingerie.
  14. Scrutineer!! At our work he's called the Union Shop Steward. Alonso's treatment is a typical example of workplace bullying and harassment. He's been ostracised and subjected to a months of mental cruelty, his self esteem and confidence has been undermined and it is greatly affecting his work. He should join a union like ASLEF as he is some kind of train driver and take it to ACAS for an industrial tribunal and sue them for unfair dismissal if it comes to that. McClaren should remember that migrant workers from EU states like Alonso are covered by workplace regulations. Solidarinosc!!!
  15. This one's better! http://youtube.com/watch?v=352paiBIZQ4&mode=related&search=
  16. There's only one present you can give her. Get on the same course at the same uni.
  17. I'm amazed. You should have picked up on these when you took it for a test drive of at least 10 miles. You did take it for a test drive? With so many things to go wrong, you should have taken along a mechanic or somebody who knows about Supes for a full check up. The classic mayonnaise under the rad cap would show a gasket problem. Never buy the first thing you look at. There's loads more.
  18. Chewie

    Six pac

I run 10Ks, half marathons and full marathons. So a 6 pack is an occupational hazard. I don't do sit-ups/crunches due to a lower back injury. But when I get flu or can't train, it's amazing how quickly you lose it. Literally within a week that washboard look can disappear under a layer of lard.
  19. I don't hate cleaning at all. I just don't do it. I never dust. It gives everything a nice matt furry finish. It probably saves me 2 hours/week which is better spent washing/waxing the supe or better still driving it. The girlfriend couldn't believe my vacuum cleaner was 17 years old and still working. Easy! I only use once a year!
  20. I'm a member of a motorbike forum and despite the rants about how it's deteriorated but believe me in comparison mkivsupra.net is A1++. You can't get anything sensible out of bikers.
  21. Join the club. Our yank bosses are shutting down our UK plant. We got told we're redundent back in 9 months ago. They're demolishing the factory around me as I type and guess what? I still don't have a termination date. Can't wait to get the redundency cheque. It pays off the mortgage, BPU the supe and get a Speed Triple. . Cheer up, silver lining and all that bullshit.
  22. Why bother buying a lame duck stock like NR? You have so much to choose. All of the banking sector has taken a hammering. E.g. look at Alliance & Leicester and Bradford & Bingley. They've both taken a hammering but will have a better recovery chance than NR.
  23. Spotted a white jap spec pootling along Lansdown Road in Cheltenham at about 1 pm Saturday. I was on my Hornet waiting for a mate on his Fireblade to catch up.
  24. I don't want to to ruin the rest of your weekend but as already mentioned you could get the boot. By the sounds of it, your suffering post trauma stress. The headaches are a classic symptom. Do you find yourself playing over and over the attack? 4 years ago a guy at work got set on by some pissed up chavs. They kicked his arm out of his socket and stomped on his brother's head. The attackers went down for 6 months. Sadly the stress got to his dad and he died from a heart attack a few months later. The physical damage healed but mental carries on. See your GP and he'll send you to a consultant. It will improve your case at work.
  25. It's easy to slag off these 'idiots' for withdrawing their savings but if it was your life savings you would do the same. I was tempted to buy some NR shares on Friday but bottled out cos NR position is very weak and is getting worse. They're primary business is mortgage lending and they borrow money from other banks to do this. This money has dried up. Combine this with people closing accounts and it don't look good. NR will go tits up or get snapped up by receivers or AN Other Bank. But good news is it's knocked other banking shares down which are very stable.
