  1. Everybody's back pain and the cause is different. The only thing in common is the agony. Going to to the chiropractor screwed up my back even more. The osteopath wasn't much better and as for shiatsu!!! In the it was hospital and possibly fusing the two lower vertebrae/discs that they worked out had prolapsed. Discs don't slip like a pile of plates. The discs rupture due to some trauma and the soft centre squishes out and presses against the nerve. You can have an injury in the spine but feel it in the legs like sciatica. Sometimes it could be muscular damage, an immflammation causing swelling that presses against a nerve. The hospital physio gave me a book written by a New Zealander. Mackenzie I recall. I did the exercises and really didn't have much faith in them but after 2 weeks something went click and that was 15 years ago. I'm in 2009 London marathon and hope to finish it in 3 hrs 15 mins. You can get better but be wary. It cost me alot of money and in the end a £5 NHS paperback sorted me out. Get well mate.

    Cr@p Salesmen

I had a guy trying to get me to change energy provider. I said "Do I look like I'm the kind of person who saves money? If I want to save money I'd get rid of that", pointing at the Supe, "And get one of those", pointing at the Fiesta across the road. He too got the message.

    Damn...

And about bloody time too. It was about this time 3 years ago that I stuck mine into the armco on that very same roundabout. LOL!
  4. I had one better than that. A woman came to my house. Rings the bell. I answer. She hands me a card with something about here being deaf and dumb. Will I buy a picture off her for a £5. She reaches into a satchel and pulls out these blatantly photocopied pencil doodlings. I say no thank you. She turns the card round and it reads something like please give me £1 then. I gave a 50p. Tnen as she walked up the drive I shouted "You dropped something". I swear for a split second she flinched but carried on walking.
  5. Never heard of this but do not use this stuff as it won't be just these seals that will be swelling and more importantly going soft.
  6. Let it go. I'd be pretty p155ed off if some bloke across the road from my girlfriend kept stalking her. So p155ed off, he might come over and visit you. And can you really blame him? Probably not what you want to hear but that's life. Hard to believe I know but sometimes you need more than a Supe to pull birds.

On Thursday at the GCHQ roundabout, I came up behind a slate grey GTR33 with Abbey Motorsport slapped all over the back and a big burping zorst. Shame it was rush hour grid lock. Any other time would have been play time.

Yeah t'was I coming back from my first day's work at Spirax Sarco down the Runnings. Shocked by the PE grid lock. Driving from 6 miles from Barnwood down the Golden Valley takes 10 mins. But the 3 miles through Chelt is 35 mins! I'm gonna run it instead. Passed the MOT last week. Have you got your Supe back sorted yet?
  9. The surface must've been very slippy to spin twice. When you feel the back end slide out, don't take your foot off. This unloads the back end and you start fish tailing. Keep the power on and turn opposite lock and only when you're going straight and steady, can you relax.
  10. The auto can give a few surprises when it drops down a gear on corners. You just have to be prepared for it if you're wellying it around the country. Otherwise I'm quite happy and have had mine for last 6 years without any problems.
  11. :run:It's coming to that time of the year. Should start a sweep stake on how many Supes get written off before Spring 2009. I've got the son of an old work chum who keeps askin gme if I sell him my Supe. He's only 19 and passed his test 2 years ago. Of course all his mates drive around in Scoobies and Evos. And guess what? They keep smashing them up. And getting killed!!! I'm going to p155 off some people here but there should be a law on what car you can drive because it's fairly obvious some people don't know what they're doing. Stand by to be flamed.
  12. Yeah I reckon that's a great parking technique if you want to stop getting your doors getting scraped and donked in by some jealous chav. I'd rather p155 off a 22 stone tuna muncher than getting p155ed off touching door scratches.

    ahhhhh

Be a man and go round there and sort the kid out.
  14. As mentioned a verbal contract is legally binding but the hard bit is proving it. However £2.5k is a lot of money and in these hard times, would anybody turn down a higher offer for easy money. I doubt it. Of course that depends if it was genuine. The wife bit was just deflecting the blame. His decision and only his. I extend my deepest sincerest condolences. There will be others.
  15. I like the name on the sign post
  16. Loads of jobs out there especially in engineering. I leave end of this month after 8 years designing diesel fuel injection systems with a super redundancy package and walk into another working on steam control valves. And more pay too.

    Damn...

Bloody hell looks I missed some local Chelt action last year. I did dedicate 2007 to motorbiking to satisfy my mid-life crisis. That roundabout. I know it well. That's where I stuffed my Supe back in Dec 2005 on ice/snow. Hope you get it back on the roads ASAP. Which spayshop are you using? I had a great quote from a place at the back of Innsworth Tech park if they're still in business. Nationwide crash repairs up at Athelney Way (?) off Hales Rd did a great match on the metallic storm blue.

I suppose it's more of a fiddle trying to match paint and mask off the tyre than to remove the tyre and sand blast the wheel.
  19. Yeah go on. Be a devil. One big burn out aint gonna hurt anybody. As long as it's just that!

    Chipped Alloy

Simple. Respray the whole lot. The hard work is rubbing down the wheels and filling in the scrapes. I watched one of these mobile wheel refurb blokes doing more or less this and forking out £300 each year. It ain't rocket science. Just time and patience and alot of rubbing down.

    Chipped Alloy

I'm always scuffing my rims (ooh urr missus) and spent a fortune on wheel refurb. So this year I spent 30 quid on primer, paint and lacquer and did the job myself in two days. Okay It's not perfect showroom but you'd be hard pushed to see the scrapes and brake dust bubbling.
  22. Seems a bit extreme burning the house down to avoid paying your invoice.
  23. Could be the Plod in an undercover plain clothes Supe. When's this bent up NA of yours going to be back on the Chelt Grand Prix circuit?
  24. I don't get it. You spend a small fortune on a car like a Supra but too tight to spend £200 max on a tyre even when yours and somebodys life is at risk. Good luck.
