1. Make: Toyota Model: Supra UK Spec auto Year: Dec 1994 Mileage: 90,600 miles MOT remaining: 11 mths Service history: upto 2018 Car's location: Cheltenham, Glos I've tried to keep it to standard stock spec (it even still has the headlight squirty washers) with the exception of Lexus GS300 Sport wheels, TRD front strut brace, HID head lights, Chris Wilson SMIC. I've still got the OEM stock wheels and suspension struts. Since 2017, it done 1000 miles/yr! It only ever gets taken out for a blast on dry weekends, to any special car meets and driveouts. 3 previous owners with me as current owner since 2003. I could do with a change. Major work 2014 - body stripped down, rust patches treated, totally resprayed and floorpan undersealed by BP Motors, Cheltenham. 2014 - uprated adjustable suspension - BC Racing coilovers, front and rear ARBs, poly bushes by Garage Whifbitz. 2015 - new OSF brake calliper by Listers Toyota, Cheltenham. 2016 - valve stem seals and hybrid turbo conversion by Garage Whifbitz. 2018 - all brake discs and pads renewed by Garage Whifbitz. 2019 - new NSF brake calliper by Listers Toyota, Cheltenham. PRICE - £30,000 Please PM for contact details.
2. Always use a torque wrench at the correct setting and ensure the male and female threads are cleaned and lubed so that the applied torque isn't wasted overcoming thread friction. A low torque is can also shear bolts. Trust me, there's a science to bolting things together. - - - Updated - - - Always use a torque wrench at the correct setting and ensure the male and female threads are cleaned and lubed so that the applied torque isn't wasted overcoming thread friction. 3. *bump* Still got this rattling around my loft.
4. The rubber trim is bonded to the main visor. As mentioned earlier, it's age hardened and as you can see in one of the piccies, it has split. TBH it really doesn't do much. It's not as if it's a waterproof seal or act as a cushion to prevent chafing the paintwork. I was tempted to peel it off completely for a cleaner line.
5. It's not just about the postage. I want the purchaser to inspect and be sure and happy of what he's getting. I've read too many disputes about 'misleading descriptions."
6. I'd rather not. I'd have to glue/tape up a subtantially strong box. TBH I don't want to chance it and would rather buyer collects. FYI I'm in Cheltenham, Glos.
7. Sorry I'm after the max to pay for the respray. An earlier post said one sold for £75. Fair enough. One even sold for £60 but that came snapped in half. I've seen them sell for £150. You're going to extremely lucky to find one with flexible pristine edge trimming which hasn't age hardened.
8. The visor was bonded on with an epoxy adhesive and then held in place with the clamps. I was getting a full body respray so wasn't worried about the paint damage. You could try lining the contact surface under the visor with a felt or thin rubber.
9. Piccie on car...
10. Piccie as requested.
11. Genuine Toyota OEM roof/visor. Like rocking horse doo-dahs. Part of the flexible elastomer edge trimming has age hardened and cracked. This could be replaced with trim from ebay. Otherwise very good condition. These go for upto £150 but due to the cracked trim, £100. Buyer collects as I haven't got a box to pack it in.
12. Treated my 20 yr old UK spec Supra to a total body makeover including replacement of rusty wheel arches, needing new windscreen, seals, badges etc. Cost was £2900!!!!
