    Vote now!

After reading all the above, I would still vote for - Option 4 cheers ian
  4. Tried it once, and got pestered with "chancers" phoning you to tell you they had a list of potential buyers, all wanting to buy your car. All you had to do was send them £90+ and they would send you the list. I told them to send me the list and if one of their potential customers bought my car, I would then send them £90- surprisingly they said "no deal".But other than that -no problem good luck Ian

My engine bay isnt the fanciest, but if it was like that one, i wouldnt even lift the bonnet.
  6. Is this what started you trading ?? at an early age (lol)
  7. best solution is to apply for cabin crew with a major airline !!! thats what my wife did - she was TERRIFIED of flying. Went for an interview with our national airline -told them she was terrified of flying AND she hated being away from home - she got the job !! Now she's away anywhere in the world 4 days a week and she loves it- unbelievable, but true.
  8. I'm surprised that you saw a soop in Meigle. Thought it was only tractors and horses (as in one horse town). lol cheers Ian
  9. Well done, hope it gets the message across cheers Ian
  10. Hi Paula, Not sure if airbags were fitted on a 1994 import. I had a bit of a problem with mine as well - although it had the Airbag Contact Reel intact it never had an airbag fitted. It was as if they had intended to fit an airbag wheel , but never got around to it. I had to desolder the A.C.R in order to get a Momo Boss to fit Cheers Ian
  11. hi Neil, could be the one thats parked in West Princess Street, just off Woodlands Road. I think I know the father of its owner -but not 100% sure. I missed the last Perth Meet, but hope to catch up with you at future meet All the best Ian
  12. just renewing this older thread, due to tthe fact I bought and read this book on the recommendation of fellow members. read it when I was on holiday - and really enjoyed it. a very informative book to read if you are interested in British Military History. thanks for recommending cheers Ian
  13. smashing video especially the last sketch - reckon its safer to walk off the park than being carried of on a stretcher. cheers ian
  14. the bookies would have done well out of you lot today
  15. Not in Scotland tonight, the wives will be getting shagged and the kids extra pocketmoney (lol) Cheers Ian
  16. glad to hear you got it fixed and it didnt cost you a penny. That'll teach you for crossing the border. Cheers Ian
  17. Hi Jaymdee, sorry was unable to contact anyone today (must be due to nice weather). A)Did you find out if gas had been off while away? -If so then may only need purged to the boiler. B)Any electrical work been done recently ? (Wrong polarity at boiler) C)Did flue terminal look OK ? -no kid battered it with a pole or ball. If not any of these above then it will probably be neccessary to get landlord to fix. Keep us posted on how you get on. Cheers Ian
  18. Hi Jaymdee, I have to say to everyone dont mess about with gas appliances if your not trained ( CORGI rules) I will try and give some contacts a phone tomorrow (Sunday) and see if I can find out what Fault F28 is likely to be. Cheers Ian
  19. Hi jaymdee, I'm a boiler engineer but not familiar with the Valiant range. Due to the fact that it appears to 'fire-up' for about 10secs it could be that the flue has been disturbed -is it horizontal of vertical flue ? Do you have any other gas appliances and are they working OK ? Or it may be a faulty detection electrode -ie fires up but does not detect that its lit ,so therefore cut-out I specialise in 4 manufactuers, but sorry that Valliant is not one of them Hope you manage to solve problem Best of luck Ian
  20. Anyone seen this at an airport before? if you do come across it -its worth S.F.A This is the Regulation that you get fogged of with ,when your budget airline does what the hell it likes -ie doesnt arrive, takeoff ,cancel, etc your flight. This is the Regulation that COMPENSATES you for the inconvience that the budget airline has cost you - or that is SUPPOSED TO, off course until you try to make a claim -then you really find out that this threads title is accurate. On a recent trip to Rome my GLOBESPAN flight was delayed for approx 6hours, thereby arriving in Rome airport at 2am instead of 8pm-only to find that, there is no Globespan Representive (all tucked up in their beds-where I should have been ), no public transport operating at this godawful time and left with no option but to take a private cab to central Rome. Only to find that the hotel also operate a late checkin fee !!! In all it cost me an additinal £80 to fly a low cost airline + a lot of hanging about in airports etc. But EC Regulation 261/2004 , I was told by airline staff, would come to my rescue and compensate me for GLOBESPANS cockup - NO A HOPE IN HELL So all you merry travellers about to set out on your summer holidays BEWARE !!! - EC Regulation 261/2004 -dont mean sh*t
  21. yes thats the bit Jake, I was wondering whether to (A) desolder it or (B) have been told that there should be a connector further down the steering column that can be diconnected or © to purchase an airbag type boss Thanks anyway Cheers Ian
  22. Hi rob Its a 1995 jspec n/a auto cheers Ian
  23. Anyone come across one of these in their P&J --but do not have airbags fitted on steering wheel ?. I am unable to fit the MOMO boss supplied -unless I de-solder this reel, is this wise ? cheers Ian
  24. I dont HATE any English person, after all i've been very happily married to a Scouser for the last 20 years and my best man was from Manchester and many of my best mates are English. However wahat us Scots do object to is the ARROGANT , POMPOUS and PATRONISING type of English person that does exist. (And also the type that gets ABUSIVE because no one else wishes to support HIS team) After listening to this debate on radio programmes over the last month or so, NO ONE has been able to answer for me satisfactorarily why any Scot SHOULD support an English team !! After all we are different countries -NOT A REGION OF ENGLAND. Using your own line of thought - that when England get Knocked out in the next round, you will then change your alliances and then start to support the neighbour still left in the competion - ie FRANCE - allez france
  25. NOT STRICTLY TRUE - I would support IRELAND and WALES at any event. cheers ( whatever your drinking) Ian
