  1. I dont know if this concert was ever released on VHS or DVD, I recorded it from the TV years and years ago, but i would say its the best PF recording i've seen. cheers Ian
  2. I think i cocked up by double posting, but you were right Rob, it was 1989 when the Venice Concert was recorded. cheers ian
  3. Could have been the 80's, Rob, my memory is getting worse as i'm getting older. As to being geeky, that helps when you listen to and watch the early PF (especially PF @ Pompeii) I think it also helps if your on DRUGS. Cheers Ian
  4. Dont want to be over critical of my favourite group, but I wasnt to sure about the backing females - certainly (in my opinion) not as good as the MacBroom sisters (not Scottish by the way - at least I dont think so !!) of the late 70's era. Watch the Venice Tour and you'll see what I mean - there voices are absolutely amazing cheers Ian (Shine On !!!)

    Italy...

the rail system is quite straight forward. We travelled from Rome to Sorrento via Naples. It was no problem at all. Very similar to here just turn up at the station and tell them where you want to go. Tripadviser is a great website -it is usually very up to date with comments - have used it for planning several holidays and found the customer comments to be very accurate cheers ian

Martin, hope you and Emma are not feeling too sore today. I thought the recovery was taking you back to Falkirk - not Alexandria ???? Other than the misfortunate incident putting a damper on the day-it was heading towards being a good meet. As long as you and Emma are OK, thats what matters most cheers Ian PS: I still cannot get over that old biddie (80 years +), coming off the bus and saying that theres not much damage done !!!! (WTF)

just bringing it back to everyones attention, as this post has been quiet over the last couple of weeks. Is it still on then? cheers ian
  13. Glad to hear all is working well - proper job. Only allowed to help technically with non gas related jobs. But glad to be of help cheers ian
  14. JohnA, what is the latest news everything been ok or does problem still exist? let me know if i can help any further cheers ian
  15. They usually are spring loaded, ie it returns to the closed position when released. If you do have a problem with the prv "its not the biggest job in the world to fix" Let me know if problem of losing pressure continues cheers Ian
  16. what can happen if it has been passing for sometime ,is that the face to face surfaces can get a build up (contaminated), so the faces dont close tight any longer. If the pressure in the ch system rises over 3bar then the faces open and release the excess pressure -but should close off tight once pressure has dropped. If you have access to the blowoff pipe outside -then tie a poly bag onto it, and if it fills and you pressure continues to drop, then you may have a problem with the prv. cheers ian
  17. Its very easy to pressurise the expansion vessel. 1. Depressurise boiler by using the 3bar pressure release valve. (usually a valve inside the boiler with a red cap - turn it until the pressure on the gauge reads 0.) 2. Identify the ch expansion vessel ( either a squarish red vessel in the boiler or a round vessel down the back of the boiler) 3. Using a foot pump (by hand -not feet) pump up the vessel until you have approx 10psi - 14psi (check with a digital tyre pressure gauge) 4. Then repressurise boiler back to 1-1.5 bars of pressure. Its really as easy as that and save yourself £70 -£100 callout. One thing is if the 3b PRV has been running outside for some time than it may need to be replaced. cheers Ian
  18. Come on Stevie, dont try to kid us that its hard work. That what comes of mixing business with pleasure - you become a vet. See you soon Cheers Ian Remember and have a wash first though.
  19. doesn't sound as if your too upset, Neil Hope you've got the camera looked out for the Dec meet, should be a very good outing. cheers ian PS And you from Coatbridge too !!!! (lol)

  21. Lucky you didnt find a website, otherwise you might have been pulling out that nice curly hair of yours (lol) Cheers Ian PS: Stevie (steviekid), a mutual acquaintance was asking for you.(stra'ven man)
  22. I think if you trained hard in early years and then suddenly give up all sport for some reason, you automatically start to put on weight very quickly. This happened to me about 10 years back, crippled myself at the footie (crutiate ligaments) and stopped exercising 4/5 nights per week. Have put on 5 stone since, was up to 17 stone last month and have since lost 1 stone by swimming and cutting out the shite food. Long way to go to get back to 12 stone, but have started the recovery. Always too easy to make excuses for not exercising ( I've just ran out of excuses) Good luck to all who are trying to lose weight. cheers Ian
