I enjoyed this last meet at Perth and I'm sure everyone will have a fantastic time this time round. Hopefully will be there in spirit if not in body. cheers Ian
  5. you've got to be having a laff !!!! I see it everyday, where BG engineers (who are on Commission), tell vulnerable frail old folk that their CH systems are done/dangerous/obsolete and that BG will gladly install 'their own new special system' at approx double the price of a local CORGI registered installer - however this practice may only take place in Scotland.
  6. In the trade B.G engineers are known as ' the Toffos ' - TURN OFF, then F*CK OFF but admittedly they are very good at that - in fact experts
  7. sssshhhh -its meant to be a secret.

  11. saw the aussie pink floyd in glasgow last week , i think thats the fourth time i've seen them. There also is a scottish version called MACFLOYD who do the circuit up here - they are v.g as well -a good cheapish night out. cheers ian
  12. I'm sure its probably been asked before but couldnt find anything in FAQ. Which is the best speed camera detection system that any member has used ? And what experiences have you had with any of them, ie failure to detect resulting in fine & points etc. cheers Ian:sos:
  13. dont want to be a racist (lol) , but its not the mad scots you have to watch out for ( they all live south of the border ). Its the mad Irish lorry drivers coming off the ferry at Stranraer - they dont know which side of the road to drive on - so they they choose whichever takes their fancy.

One featured in the April 2006 (current) Fast & Modified magazine. Seemingly called BURNOUT and is owned by a bloke called Magintie (may be on this site?). But it looks a nice example. Torque Performance in Hamilton done much of the work on this car.- another lead for Nigel
  15. looking forward to it already andy. need to start putting out feelers for time and date. cheers ian
  16. some are one and the same - thieving ****ards ! By the way i'm one of these.
  17. It helps if u hav a rich missus m8 - u get 2 spend all her money ! cheers Ian
  18. hi irvy, saw this one, but it only has 2 chargers for 4 units, and a distance of only 3kms - not much use when i fall away behind the rest of you guys !!! the one that i suggested had a charger for each unit and a distance of 5kms cheers ian
  19. Check out http://www.argos.co.uk / office,pc & phones / two way radios / oregan scientific TP380 @ £20.00 each seem ok maybe one of you IT guys may do a link to this - as i have no idea how to. cheers ian
  20. maybe someone with a bit of computer knowledge will post a new thread regarding transmitting/receiving devices, and we might get a consensus as to a reasonably priced and capable device. cheers ian
  21. yeh i'm up for that, obviously we must all get ones that work on the same wavelength, otherwise it would be a bit of a cock up. So if someone can suggest a reasonable make and model then we are maybe on to a winner. cheers ian
  22. A wee suggestion in order to make the next meet/run more enjoyable - is anybody interested in looking out their old C.B's from their sheds or attics ( I must really be showing my age) . As well as being able to communicate between cars and have a blether during the run , it also gives you something to do with your left hand - beats scratching your a**e ( for the auto drivers). If anyone else is up for this, it gives us time before next meet to rig-up. Cheers Ian
  23. just looking back the threads Irvy- where did we go wrong Cheers Ian
  24. I did likewise, must have been all that Perthshire fresh air. But a great meeting and enjoyed very much - looking forward to next meet Cheers Ian
