Yeah I did... To be fair, if you have the space it isn't too difficult. You will definitely require an engine crane. I went for the option of undoing the front subframe and lifting the shell over the top... But I was doing suspensions change and hub change at the same time.

Given that I work in IT this seems really odd to post but I don't do consumer end so I need some help.. Basically, got myself an ANTEC fusion HTPC case to finally replace the rackmount case I had my old machine in. I'm running Vista Media Centre and it is okay on my present system, AMD64 3200, 2GB Ram, Radeon 9600SE...however the motherboard doesn't fit in the new case, so I'm just going to replace the guts... What's worthwhile getting for a Vista media centre, bear in mind all I intend to use it for is playback of avi files, as well as the odd function within mediacentre... it is NOT a gaming machine, I've got consoles for that...Cost needs to be as low as possible, but don't want to completely scrimp on it. So initial assumption... AMD dual core or Intel dual core? Decent motherboard? (needs to be uATX) Graphics cards, what would be decent to use for mediacenter (Again stressing, this is NOT a gaming platform, nor will it be). Got two SATA disks, and 2 IDE disks (don't mind TOO much sacrificng the IDE disks), and a DVD writer (IDE) Thanks (sheepish grin)

I really like the classic simplistic look with that... The problem with cars these days I find, is you spend 10 minutes trying to work out if it is an Audi, BMW, Merc or whatever because they all have the windtunnel jelly mould look, and all in the same places.

Exactly.... Imagine fully loading up one of those 750gb discs....only to loose the ENTIRE contents in one hit... The way I've laid out my disk systems on my NAS means that the disk I lost last night resulted in one corrupt file which wasn't bad considering it holds 600gb roughly.

Cheers for that... I'm going to hang just below the curve and stick with a few 500's and just raid them for security more than space... I have enough issues with disks going bad and keeping copies all over the place.

Yeah, thought about them, usually use them... I did find a local supplier which is £5 more, so I'll get them there and pick them up tomorrow *grin* Was just wondering if there were any others.

Any idea where to get 500gb -> 750gb hard drives cheap... Doesn't matter if they are SATA or IDE really. Just lost a disk in my mediacentre disk array....

If you have airbags, make sure you disconnect the battery first, or at least don't turn to igntion without that top cluster install otherwise it will throw the ABS light on.

Decatting an NA does make a slight difference, although it will get much louder.. My decatted NA which had a Greddy TI exhaust was silly loud to be fair.

7k? I could respray mine, fit the VS kit and still come out quids up... NAs aren't expensive,...and VS is a taste thing...
