  1. When you say projector, what is the difference from the stock unit as I thought the lights were projectors anyway, does it require any/much modification? Do you have any links to LED projectors? I could do with a bit more light at the front of the Supe!
  2. Over £4K in the last year alone on hybrid turbos and suspension arms Agree with this, unless you’re pushing your budget
  3. What are the plans for a big Supra meet for the big 25? Just watching F&F1 on ITV and getting the nostalgia bug
  4. I wouldn’t recommend non OEM batteries for the T series laptops. We use them at work and often see messages at start up advising the battery is not genuine/charging if the user bought a cheap replica battery With HDD’s, you cant really go wrong with Seagate or WD
  5. Supra’s are mechanically solid and reliable cars, although you may find that some of the rubbers & seals are starting to perish which can take you out of action (and creep the maintenance costs up)
  6. My road but not me he lives a little further down the road, doesn’t get out much so Google got a rare snap!
  7. £65k spent on it and ‘spared no expense’ - especially on the boot carpet, probably about £2 or some free samples from Carpet Right. Consistency is the key...
  8. Ahhh High Wycombe... sorry, I mean Keighley... same difference
  9. As others have said, I think that’s a fair quote, I was paying similar at your age on an NA I’ve had a play on some websites with adding a non fault claim against having no claims at all (as I have a non fault claim) and it made no difference to the overall cost
  10. CTEK for me too, the same as mplavery, works a treat and used it a few times without issue
  11. I have fixed back bucket seats and harness and haven't had an issue in 2 or 3 MOT's. From what I read, the harness has to have a standard seatbelt buckle to be MOT compliant - it cannot be the twist release from the racing harnesses. I have these and they're attached to the rear strut brace
  12. Was thinking the same this morning when I flipped over to November
  13. I thought as much, unfortunately I've not got the tools, patience or setup to start getting more involved and swapping out the pump - unless you do home visits?
  14. Try Whifbitz or if you have a good credit rating some 0% interest credit cards. I know Barclaycard like to give out high credit limits, Virgin Money aren't too bad either
  15. So I eventually got round to following the guide I linked earlier and all went well, but not the result I wanted. A few things to note that isn't mentioned in the guides; - the smaller pipe will most likely need stretching/loosening to slip on to the return pipe easier. I done this by squeezing in two screwdrivers and rotating them in opposite directions - make the hole in the bottle top big, I was niave and thought about 8mm was enough which wasn't enough to let the fluid flow through fast enough - make sure you have paper towel to clear spillage as you will inevitably spill some when pulling the pipes off So now the fluid is flushed and at a sensible level, it is still grinding and making noises. Because I didn't make the hole big enough it did not get enough fluid through and caused the steering to go very hard. I've topped up a lot more fluid and now it's easy to move the wheel but it grinds. It also grinds when not moving the wheel. Is this the pump screwed and need replacing or do I need to leave this running longer to get air through the system or should I add more fluid until it's over the limit and drain after? In total I've left it running about 5 mins to hopefully clear it, and it is no longer bubbling Video of the noise...
  16. Out of interest, what's a second hand Abflug Type 1 spoiler worth? Not sure if it's genuine or not
  17. The term 'barn find' does my head in, it gets batted around too much as an excuse for 'I left my car to rot'
  18. I'm going to go for the Autosol, I didn't get round to it this weekend as I had some other work to do on the Supra Will get some before and after pics up once done, hopefully next weekend!
  19. Thanks all for the replies, it looks like I'll go for some Autosol Although I do like this as it seems less scratchy!! For those asking on a price, I'd want £300 for it, although I need to get the bracket welded back together I also have a Nur Spec R that I should really sell on
  20. I need to clean up my Carbon Ti before I sell it on. What is the best process to get the dirt/grime off and then to polish it up without scratching it and leaving swirls everywhere? I don't have a rotary polisher so all will need to be done by hand.... if possible
  21. You don't get out much anymore As long as you have a reasonable/believable excuse to have it in your window (broken bracket, tape lost stickeyness etc) you should only get a producer - this only cost me £10 each time as I had to get a MOT shop to stamp it
  22. Show off I done this with my previous Supra starting with no front number slowly progressing up sizes each time I got a pull from the law . I don't fancy doing that again and giving the police an excuse to pull you over Where did you get that from? It looks like it will still be too big but as you say, a bit cleaner on the edges
  23. I've just bought a 5 digit registration coupled with an import size front number plate to help tidy up the front and lose the mammoth 7 digit UK version! Trouble is, this is now smaller than the Jspec bracket holder so it leaves an overhang on the sides. What other options are there or what have you guys done to mount the plate a bit cleaner? I was thinking of buying a standard Jspec bracket and chopping it down to size
