If you can, get a multimeter, set it to continuity or resistance, disconnect the reverse switch on the gearbox and slap her in reverse, see if there's any resintance, could be wither a switch problem or mechanism inside

Its the downpipe after the turbo, then it goes to the cat? Just drill the old snapped stud our and put a nut and bolt there, i had same problem It goes from engine to manifold to turbo to downpipe to cat if thats any help
