  1. But if you'd ever been attacked by wild dogs, I'm pretty sure your feelings would change about the domestic version.......
  2. Personal experience matey... And why would you want to keep a creature in your home that you are never much more than 12 feet away from anyway?..............
  3. If you'd ever had problems with wild ones, you'd hate the things. Carry disease in their pee and piss and shit everywhere they go......... Thay also have little gland pouches on the side of their cheeks which they rub against thing as they run along, marking the route (their memoery span is less than 12 hours, so don't expect them to remember that you were the one who fed them the day before...).. Those markings are like a highway to food for all the rats in the neighborhood...bastards..fekkin hate them....although they do do a good job as long as they stay in their own environment (underground)...
  4. Or your thermostat is not operating properly causing excess pressure in the system.....
  5. It doesn't actually come in, it comes through. Don't forget you have your exhaust downpipe and your engine bay air exits there too, and your downpipe is behind two red hot turbos...
  6. Try this guys 1) Lock your car in "L" Accelerate until you get to about 5500-6000 revs.. Note the speed you are doing at those revs. From that speed reading you know roughly where you car will not drop into first when running fully auto... 2) After you have done that, lock your car in second. Now drive up to the speed you were at when you were at 5500-6000 revs in first ("L"). Note the revs. Now lets say you were driving along normally at that speed. Your car will be in third or O/D depending on what that speed from above tests is. If you now kick down your car should drop into second and be at the revs you recorded from test 2) above. If it doesn't then your kickdown is not working properly. And if you kickdown at lower than that speed it should drop down to first ("L") by default.. Hope you got all that....
  7. Otherwise known as the kickdown button....self explanatory...
  8. That doesn't make too much sense mate. But correct me if I'm wrong here,... Surely there is no more than 12-1500 revs difference between first and second, so if it wouldn't go into first because you would over-rev at say 6000-6500 then it would still be at 4500-5000 in second gear?....won't your car pull at those revs?.............
  9. Shame they can't add a camera database to it, that would be perfect...
  10. Not sure, but they were a bit bling aftermarket...
  11. I was talking about that other retractable Sat Nav thing you had Joe... the one that stretched from your air vents up to the mirror...
  12. Been seeing a black Sup around the last couple of weeks, reg G17 *** Nice clean car..
  13. Bit smaller than the last one you had tho Joe...what was it...Phillips Cinemaplex Widevision?..................
  14. When I was doing research just before I bought my present unit I did come across one that updated itself, directly from the GPS. Now that's what I call useful.... Buggered if I can remember which one tho. Must have been expensive too otherwise I would have got it rather than the unit I have now...
  15. Laser guns only need to resample if they get an error code, otherwise they have your speed in 1/3rd of a second. The only way this would work is if you had a diffuser (which is poentially illegal, "Perverting the Course of Justice") From what I read, you have a laser "detector." Or do you have sensors by the number plate then? I thought they were built into the unit itself. Why would they fit a laser detector if all the potential laser sites were in the database and activated by the GPS? That doesn't make sense. I think there is a bit of oversell crap going on here............
  16. Just had a look at the drive smart unit website, The "laser" detector side of it is totally useless. There is no "Scatter" from laser beams. If you hear the warning it is too late. The only way for advanced warning is thro GPS, which taps the recorded database of where the mobile cameras are going to be on a certain day. It doesn't do that. And any company offering indefinite free updates is bound to come unstuck eventually as all the databases have to be paid for...
  17. Just received this email from BTST. http://www.speedcameralocator.com/exchangemybtst.html I had one of their original units but sent it back because it didn't spot mobile traps and specs cameras.. Their new model is GPS and looks like top of the tree, with DAILY camera updates (nobody else does this) if you want them... Their original unit was £150 so it looks like this one will be the same-ish price... Edited: Looks like it is 299 quid.... Trifle pricey but looks good...
  18. You deserve a round of applause then...... Well done C.....

    Pinking

O2 sensor?..... Colder plugs needed?....go here if you are not sure:http://www.briskusa.com/technical_02heatrange.htm Always use Optimax regardless of what you hear about Tesco's 99 (it is not always 99 octane, bad batches can be as low as 92-95...)....
  20. What was the problem in the end...?..
  21. Might find they need pressing on and off, not sure on this tho, so maybe someone else'll be along to confirm..
  22. I think you'll find that wheel bearings are non-adjustable, being sealed roller bearings rather than the older (like 20 years ago) adjustable, greasable, taper bearings... Another option the manufacturers took away from us to screw more money out of us...
  23. You've always been an adult then C?....

    any reggae fans?

I like "Reggae-Rock" as per some Santana and Sniff 'N the Tears...ordinary reggae doesn't have enough meat in it for me...some UB40 is OK...
  25. Where do we queue up then?........oh sorry, you said "kicking". I thought you said "licking"......
