  1. CJ. that may be the reality of you life, but there are two sides to every coin, even your own. Most people rarely look at the other side and if they ever do they scare themselves shitless and from then on try and avoid facing the issue from that point on. And I am not particularly alluding to steroetypes, but human beings in general....
  2. Supporting a team gives people a sense of unity, belonging, being part of something, it creates a them and us differential towards opposing teams... It is easy for Governments to use play on that sense of unity and belonging to get people to go to war (to defend their "right" to be "us" and not "them"). Religions work the same way.....
  3. I don't remember referring it to any particular country.....
  4. You missed the bit which sais, "or the reality of their own lives,"...... Perhaps i should have phrased that (above) differently, we'll see......
  5. Now let me get this right. A few guys make it their lifelong ambition to get good at the totally non-productive "skill" of pushing a little ball backwards and forwards for 100 yards.. Then non-participants, who have no real purpose in their lives, or who want to distract themself from under-achievement, or the reality of their own lives, take it upon themselves to devote a great part of their lives discussing, analysing, witnessing certain of those morons who push the little ball around.... It's no wonder governments find it it is so easy to get people to go to war and tear each other to bits.........
  6. Hear bloody hear!.... No can we put this stupid argument to bed at last *cough ..*cough.....
  7. OK... And this hospital is sponsored by Mr Kipling..................... And this hospital is sponsored by Cadbury's And this hospital is sponsored by Nescafe.... And this hospital is sponsored by Southern Comfort.. The list goes on.........
  8. OK fine...but then the same should apply to people who throw food down their gullets in alarming quantities, people who sprain their muscles, joints while over-excercising,...blah, blah....... It cannot possibly apply to only one section of the community...
  9. Edd Do you own thing mate. Maybe a good time to stop her attempted control of your (and your girlfriend's) life...dig in mate, or it will happen again in the future. make your stand now. Perhaps in argument, you might mention, she should have been considerate enough to inform you of her proposed "plans" before she commited you and your girlfriend to her wishes on your girlfriend's birthday, which she knows full well is a special day for both you and your girlfriend...
  10. Sheeesh, they're going to need a lot of cameras.................

LOL New one on me, but then again I only just heard the one about wayne Rooney booking a holiday in Lapland cause he thought that was where lapdancers come from...
  12. In that situation switch on your headlights (main beam) if you are not sure if he has seen you or not. It shows up more in his mirrors....Not so fashionable these days, but used to be common practice....
  13. LOL Being the mean SOB that I am, I would if the journey was non-essential.....
  14. And, "Over eating will result in you paying for you own hospital bill"... and, "Long term drinking of alcohol will result in you paying for you own hospital bill" and, "Stress induced illness caused by trying to keep up with the Jones' will result in you paying for you own hospital bill" and........ Let's face it, most people are in hospital on a self-induced basis, so why punish just the smokers?...
  15. Cover your alternator before doing this, as water can mince the bearings and you then get that nasty screetch (not belt squeal) everytime you accelerate....you can hear it from other steam cleaned cars every day if you drive with the window down...
  16. Or do it the easy way..: http://www.go-waterless.co.uk/ultra-ion-reviews.asp
  17. I have a Soarer guys. My filters are under the glove box (on-yer-back-look up-'n-under). If yoiu have a similar system you will see either two or four butterfly nuts. Remove them and you will see the bottom of the forst filter. It slides down and is hinged halfway down so you can angle it up so you don't foul the foorwell carpet. The second filter need to be slid into the same position as the first one and then you can pull it down to remove it.. Of course, yours could be totally different.... The air conditioner filters tend to get fairly clogged up from the Japanese smog and heavy smoking i
  18. Unlucky mate... I've got a spare Michelin Pilot Alpin 255/40 ZR 17 – 94H nearly brand new sitting here in Bristol. Not really economic to courier it up... However, if you want a cheap spare for "just-in-case", if you are at JAE perhaps I can bring it up for you..
  19. Got one on Friday Martin. Unfortunately there is a twist... On the can it says, "Always use an interdynamics A.C. gauge to avoid overcharging."....Buggered me completely. Couldn't read the small print on the can in the shop as I am long-sighted.. However I was speaking to someone and they said, before you try the charging run the A.C at max-cold, max-fan for 10-15 minutes.. Anyway I cleaned the filters (vacuum and then threw them in the washing machine) and then did as he said. No need to recharge now....Nice and cold and smells much better....
  20. As you like biting bugs so much....[GRIN][/GRIN] Took bloody ages to clean them off...
