  1. This is after you have figured out how to remove the headlight unit. Compared to my old GT4 this is a nightmare!! Russell
  2. Let me know how it goes. I am getting a big service don at the end of Jan, can't afford in until then, so I would like to know what possible extra costs I would need to fork out for!! Russell
  3. Hello all, I have had my NA for about 9 months and it has always handled "loosely" but as I haven't driven another Supra (or RWD car for any length of time) I thought this was normal. However... Lately the front passenger side (or so it seems) has started to make clonking noises, especially when coming down over a speed bump. This has been getting steadily worse and now things have become a little worrying. Firstly under full lock, turning right, the car "jolts" like it has ran over a large stone or clipped a kerb - the steering wheel is also physically pulled for a brief moment. In addition, there is a groaning noise when I break whilst turning, again mostly when turning right. I gather that there may be a repair bill on it's way, but has antone had these symptoms before?? Any help would be grateful. Thanks in advance, Russell PS: Have a good new year!
  4. Photos as promised. The car isn't clean, but it has been rainin non-stop for three days or something...
  5. Thanks. THough she does seem to have the largest ears, ever, in that photo. Russell No probs.
  6. Except I have paid, unless it's ran out or something??
  7. Completely standard Supra (other than wheels) for sale. 43k miles only!! Silver Automatic Replaced head unit with Kenwood model Taxed and tested for 4 months (check required) No rust or corrosion, great condition. Just serviced. £4750 Hi-res photos on request, I will post photos later on tonight. Russell
  8. Having owned both the FTO GPX (the 200bhp one) and now the NA, I would dissagree that the FTO would be left behind. The FTO weighs considerably less and once in the MIVEC zone pulls well, too. Indeed, the frantic nature of the FTO is such that it feels much quicker than the NA. NA power specs are: Power: 220 HP @ 5,800 rpm; 210 ft lb @ 4,800 rpm. So, for a big six cylinder it does need a bit of reving to bring it up to it's best. However, the NA is a far, far better car than the FTO and I am so very glad I changed.
  9. Well, I went from an FTO GPX which may have the same "type" of performance as your Del Sol - in that you have ro rev the engine to get to the fast cams. What I would say is that the Supra NA is not that torquey; mine needs to be revved past 4500 rpm before real urge comes through (mine is an auto, which may make a difference). Its not like the NA is slow, but there doesn't seem to be as flat a power curve as I was expecting. I am not sure about the 0-60 times but the NA seems to be just as quick as the FTO, if pushed. The NA is nowhere near as quick as a GT4, mind. Russell
  10. Am I correct in thinking that any wheels from any Supra (of the latest gen) are interchangable? So if I bought some UK spec standard wheels they would fit a JDM NA Supra?
  11. I have the items on my watch list. MAy be able to persuade him to post as going so far south is not exactly desirable. Russell
  12. No, it isn't that one. Vielside bodykits should be all burnt at the stake - they look absolutely awful. Especially the back spoiler. One of the things that sells the supra is the huge rear wing. Changing it is like buying an Audi and replacing the four rings with a Skoda badge - Still a nice car, but the image is utterly ruined (in some folk's eyes at least). The airbox is standard, as is the exhaust. I guess there are still two cats. then? Good advice on the standard wheels. How much do they cost on the s/h market? On second thoughts I will look myself. Aren't the UK spec supra breaks the same as the GT4 ones? If so they are bloody huge!
  13. I will get the wheels sorted, but it will take a while to get the money together. Any advice on tyres? I will replace the alloys, too, probably 17". Russell
