  1. QUICK SALE URGENTLY REQUIRED. NEAREST OFFER TO £16,000? My landlady has just given me 8 weeks notice to get out of my house so I now have parking and money issues. This car must sell, someone grab yourself a motor and a half.
  2. FORD FOCUS ST2 OR ST3 OR VAUXHALL ASTRA VXR OR TRIPLE 8 Does anyone have any experience of either of these?
  3. You are right db, the brakes are always commented on. Huge stopping power. I've promised myself that after this one has gone, i'll give it a few years and then come back to the supra ownership. I have never driven anything like it before and will miss the enjoyment greatly.
  4. It is with heavy heart, but sensible head that I am putting up my beloved Supra for sale. This is my under used Supra which I have now decided is needing to go to a new loving home where she can be used to her full potential. I instead will be using the cash as a much needed house deposit. I have put no price to her, to me she is priceless, but you guys will know the value of these motors and as such any offers via pm will be welcome. Having said that, I am in no rush to be rid of her and will wait for a sensible price. The car was modified to its high standard by its previous owner who spent over £40,000 on getting her to the modified state that she is in. Some of you may have read that over my 17 months of ownership I have had a few minor problems with her, pleasing to say that these are all now sorted and she is driving the best that she ever has during my time. I am no mechanical guru and have limited technical knowledge, but any questions about her I will gladly try my best to answer. I have not stated the mileage as I am away from the car at the moment and will update the thread when I can confirm it. I can say that she has done less than 90,000km converting to less than 56,000 miles. 5. Not sure age of this one or its make, but it looks exactly like the new one i've put on which is HKS. This came off my car in March when I had a fuelling problem. I bought a new one off Nic only to solve the problem without changing it. Decided as I had a new one, to fit it and sell my old one. It was working perfectly before I removed it off the car so assume it is still 100% ok. It is FPR only, sold without a guage. I'm after £40 - I paid over £100 for my new one so someone is going to get a good buy if they need a replacement. Will post photo when I can sort out my upload!!
  6. Who are you showing with? I'll look out for you.
  7. I think this one needs someone to take it on board, but unfortunately due to a new job that wouldnt be me. Wil e - if you fancy this maybe a list of who wants to attend then perhaps see if we have got enough members wanting to show then have a look at registering? I could be interested in this one as I'm going to swms so might as well go to this as its only up the road from me.
  8. I'll hopefully be there now the car is back on the road.

    Fpr

Not sure what make/age this is but works perfectly. Only selling as I bought a new one thinking mine was faulty only to find a different fault on the car and the fpr was indeed working perfectly. I have replaced it with a HKS regulator, the old one removed looks similar. Pics to follow if anyone is interested. £40?

    EGYPT - Hurghada

Nice piccies Mark, loving the last one Bit worried tyhe sea will be cold Where did you stay? Was it really warm, dont fancy it being too hot. Is it expensive. I'm looking at an all inclusive at the moment but dont really want to feel tied to the hotel cus its all paid for (cheapskate!!) How far away were the pyramids? Sorry for all the questions - never really considered Egypt before.
  11. Anyone been here and can make comment? Possible holiday to Reemyvera Beach Resort And Marina, Hurghada.
  12. That could be my job today. It looked ok the quick spin I gave it last nice, and i think the new regulator is reading the same pressure as the old one. Will make sure its running rich rather than lean though if I'm not sure. Fingers crossed. Rich cheque is in the post. I had to minus all the labour costs!!!!
  13. My partner and I have been through a rough time recently, we are both working hard and finding it hard to get quality time together so am thinking of booking a surprise vacation. Trouble is with work commitments we can only manage 7 days (around Easter time which is going to be more expensive between 5th and 21st April) and I can only manage a budget of about £500 plus spending money. Anyone recommend somewhere that is going to be a little bit sunny and not overly expensive. We havent been abroad together before - the beach scene isnt important to us but would be nice but also want something to do whilst we will be there?? Where's the best place to look for late availabilities or is it best to do a flight only and find your own accomodation??
  14. THE CAR IS NOW BACK ON THE ROAD AND YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE . . . . . Thanks to everyone for their input on this. My supra hasn't started since 16th December but today after sussing out the problem, started first turn and ran soooo smoothly I couldn't believe she hadnt moved for four months. I finally traced the problem back to the fuel tank. Sitting in the car I could hear the fuel pumps priming but couldnt hear the whoosh of petrol rushing through the hoses. After dismantling the fuel pump carrier I found two problems. Firstly the hose feed in the carrier had split at the bottom and was hanging very loosely. I guess this meant that some petrol was being drawn up, but not enough to get her going (hence the very low fuel pressure). Secondly I had two poor electrical connections (which may or may not have been doing anything) which I repaired. Put her back together and couldnt believe she started first turn of the key. So I now have very clean plugs, some re-soldered and cleaned electrical connections, a new fuel filter and a new fpr (which I didnt need as my old one was perfect and is now available to buy at a good price). Thank you for all your help and advice, and thanks to Nic for a VERY fast supply of a new fpr. Guess what's next - a full clean & polish tomorrow and a good run
  15. Thanks for the reply guys. Would prefer to keep to Toyota parts so will give steve manley a call. If he cant deliver quick enough could always get one from a local parts place if they are that easy to come by, then replace with a pukka later on.
  16. New one wanted. Best place (and quickest) to get one from and does anyone know how much I should be paying?? Thanks
  17. Mines still off the road since 16th Dec so know how you feel - What car I say??? Hopefully getting it sorted - new fpr on its way (thanks Nic) and hopefully someone with a bit of know looking at it on Saturday. So, I could be up for this if I'm back up and running.
  18. New or used as long as working. Or has anyone got a spare one lying around I can borrow to confirm that mine is faulty (postage costs paid of course & a few beers)?
