  1. Thanks for that. I remember doing my Honda a few years back. After bagging the 'dont get' bits I was left with hardly anything to clean.
  2. Has anyone steam cleaned their own engine before. Mine isnt grimey, its just looking a little 'off colour' and needs cheering up a bit. Any advice as theres a lot of electrical stuff under that lid?
  3. I think that looks lush, was unsure on a white car at first but I keep looking, and keep liking. I'm guessing that was black tint. Dont they do lighter shades ie greys? Have you done your side repeaters too? Was wondering what that would look like?
  4. Plant your foot and see what happens Mine does that a little too, so maybe typical?

No its not that - made sure it was in properly before putting cap on.

    Fuel Leak

Even though I've re-wired it as it was, I now have the low fuel light constantly on at the dash too. . any ideas?

    Fuel Leak

Yep - thats the bugger. Going to try it again shortly. Thought it was on nice and flat and tight, but maybe not. Tightened it by hand then tapped it on round a bit more with a rubber hammer (only thing I'd got to give it that last twist )
  8. It is a good age for a rabbit - five to seven is about average, depending on the breed too of course. Feel for you Pete.

    Fuel Leak

Only a little one, but shouldnt have one at all. You may remember I had a problem a few weeks ago with the wiring burning through on my fuel tank carrier connectors to my pumps. Well thanks to Jezzybabes I obtained a new tank carrier and spent a couple of hours yesterday re-wiring and fitting to the car. I replaced the soft copper washers, put it all back together and wicked - it worked and no leaks - or so I thought. There is a very, very small amount of fuel coming from underneath the black ring that twists on top holding it in place. It was getting dark when I noticed this but have confirmed it again this morning. The twist on round bit went on fine (not cross threaded) and fitted tight and the rubber on the tank carrier is sound, so any ideas where this very small amount of fuel is seeping from and what can I do to eliminate it?
  10. I used standard t-cut on one of mine (thats all I've had time to do) and it seems to have done the trick. Light looks much better.
  11. I've drawn France in the sweepstake. What do you think are my chances? Who've you got???
  12. I've left my car sat in the sun, so hopefully when I get home, and find that my new badges have arrived, i will have found that my old one has just melted off

    AEM tuner

One of the fore mentioned tuners did quite a bit of work on my car before it came into my ownership, and unfortunately they didnt come very highly recommended to me afterwards. Not so much a crap job, just more so a very expensive bill for the little work done. I have AEM and was recommended Bijal (FMRacing)
  14. I've not had mine yet!!! Do they fit through the letter box?
  15. So whats the best way to get the old Toyota badge off the back of the car?
  16. No, this one really would disappoint you
  17. PE - great this time of year, real shitty in winter
  18. Starting salary for a teacher now is 19.5k. I started on under 14 ten years ago but quickly moved up the scale. I would say though that teaching is a vocation, not really something you choose to do, more the job chooses you. My mates used to say those that can do, those that cant teach!! Buggers!! Having said that though, after ten years I'm now looking for something else, but what else pays me over 30k a year and gives me 13 weeks holiday a year???
  19. Not if I can help it Crowd control maybe
  20. 12 days holiday - I'd slit my wrists
  21. My office at school over looks the beach - I teach PE so I'm lucky I'm more or less outside all day. But even so, I look out at the sea and think, yep I'd prefer to be out on the boat than here. Never mind six more weeks, then six weeks holiday. Sorry if I've depressed you even more
  22. I did pm Jez last week sometime ut had no reply so i was guessing he was either as clueless as me (from my really poor technical explanation) or he didnt have one available. Will try again though, thanks.
  23. Yep, my thoughts too, but scrappies are few and far between round here. Might need to make a few calls or ask around members on here if they have any local. Getting there though now, bit closer to fixing. Thanks for all your efforts Col.
  24. I've got T1-s's. Best rubber I've ever worn
