  1. i had same problem mate, a quick trip to thoresby market on a sunday ( past clumber park on a614) will sort it for you they make show plates and managed to get one for mine fits with no gaps, 10 quid each
  2. i think we have sorted it out, backed off handbrake from inside the car, and bent the brake dust shields back a little, this stopped the groaning noise but still had vibration. it would appear this was not brake related but the bracket underthe car that fastens to the 1st cat had a crack in and was moving slightly, now welded and noise appears to have disappeared so hopfully fingers crossed its sorted
  3. when we took off the drivers rear disc, there are two springs with a pin and metal cap on them, one had stretched and was catching the hub so we tapped it back into shape then refitted with no catching .are these supposed to be at a set tension? also occasional groan when parking up in full lock--hoping it is the dust shields, should i back of the cable in the car to where it was chris.many thnks
  4. sounds like the discs but only when vehicle is moving. it as if something is loose. do the dust guards ever cause problems oram i barking up the wrong tree.
  5. why does nothing ever work out right. completely out of ideas. help please.
  6. yes chris we adjusted them up on the disc then from inside. the wheels spin freely. should i have not adjusted from the inside aswell
  7. two separate noises 1.when on lock it occasionally ggives a slight groan. 2. when driving its like a vibration come rattle that comes on when it feels like it
  8. just replaced front and rear discs on n/a supra. fitted adl blueprint discs. car has developed and weird noise at certain revs, and occasional noise on full lock. had car jacked up and there appears to be no noise from any wheel. only happens when in motion. also adjusted handbrake cable from inside car(dont know whether this is a good thing. all i know is with old discs there was no noie and now 250 quid later i have this noise. any ideas or help much appreciated.

just bought these they are 8.5 x 18 front with 235/40/18 tyres and 9.5 x 18 with 265/35/18 tyres at the rear. what do you guys think. when they are delivered on wednesday i will have a set of 18" split rims with stainless lip for sale they are 8x18 and 9x18 with 235/40/18 and 265/40/18 tyres all with about 5/6 mm left any offers appreciated, they will need refurbing but are not bad just slight curbing on rims. dont know whether to refurb them then sell them any ideas welcome
  23. i have a 2 month old alpine cda-9857r head unit for sale in excellent condition, ideal for all supra owners as it was fitted to mine ( and i cant find the fitting clips you need when it goes into a cage) so will fit any car that doesnt require a cage, it comes with all the wiring and manual just not the original box, this cost me 245 quid, but will accept offers of 150 ( £40 cheaper than i have put it on ebay, got to give a bit back to fellow supra owners) for full specs on the stereo visit the alpine website, all i can tell is it sounded the business and was very easy to use
  24. i had an aftermarket exhaust made by powerflow, they also took out the second cat this makes it nice and loud, also fitted an apexi power intake but use a heat shield and a new dedicated cold air feed. cant say i noticed much of a power gain but defo no loss and sweet induction roar. just make sure you use a heat shield and cold air feed or under bonnet temp will affect induction air temp( not good)
