  1. Does nobody know where the PPS plug is located?
  2. Hi, Been having loads of problems lately with the progressive power steering randomly flicking on and off.. not much fun when going round corners at 70+ leptons At the moment i'm pretty sure it's either, 1) Dodgy speedo converter (not been able to find it yet to check though) 2) Dry solder on the Odo (pretty sure all the connections are good though) 3) Most likely! - I've yanked a wire loose somewhere behind the dash. I've had the dash off lots just lately which makes me suspicious. I'm trying to trace all the wires so i can can check. Does anyone know the location of the progressive power steering plug (see attached image) as this might be loose. Symptoms for anyone who can offer advice; I've had Error 42 & warning light - only twice in a few months though I've tried the error 42 wire fix but the power steering stayed feather light I've inspected the odo circuit & resoldered lots of connections (just in case) I've checked the plug that goes to the odo & it seems fine (is there any way of confirming this with a multi-meter?) Not yet checked the speed converter but this isn't behind the dash where i was messing with wires (prob in pass footwell) Steering seems to change when i go over a big bump etc so makes me think loose wire. when driving, once the steering has gone light, even if it returns to normal, the revs will drop v.low on idle. The car has cut out on 2 occasions. This resets once the ignition is switched on & off The odometer is counting up fine, but in Kms. I'm sure, but not 100% positive that it was counting up in Mph. The speed converter is not a Thor one [/List] Please don't post saying 'do a search there's loads of info' or linking me to the 'error 42' thread. That’s not helpful. I've spent the last 4weeks sitting up all night looking through all the threads and threads of info and i've still not managed to fix it. Any help you can give will be very much appreciated Cheers, Rob
  3. Hi mate, have you got the odometer or has it been sold?
  4. I'm putting that on my Christmas list! I wonder if you could fit tranquiliser darts to the end to make it more interesting? haha!
  5. Thanks for the response, I'm liking the sound of that deal qaisar.. Always been a Nokia fan too.. Did you do this over the internet or did you go into an orange shop?
  6. Cheers for that mate.. can anyone recomend any good phone websites?...
  7. Thats an awesome picture I want to try and get back to Japan next summer, i miss it loads. I didn't get chance to climb fuji last time but it'll be top of the list on my next visit!... I remember when my friend first moved to japan 5 years ago, he told me that a group of friends took him to climb mount fuji. When they stopped at a shop before they started he was buying a chocolate bar and a can of coke, everyone else was buying cans of oxygen! haha! I don't think he realised quite how big it was! Typical British thing to do!
  8. Hi all, I realised today that i've been on Vodafone pay as you go for almost 10years! Wow!.. I never really pay much attention to how much credit i use so i downloaded a 6 month bank statement and worked it out. Turns out i'm using an average £38.50 on PAYG and i've got a really knackered phone! (nokia6230)... I've decided to get a contract because it should work out cheaper & i'll get a new phone. I could do with some advice please; 1) Which is the best internet site to get one from? any i should avoid? 2) What phone/network should i go for? 3) Any new phones you are impressed with? I use my phone mainly for texting so i could do with a contract that offers at least 300+ free txts a month. (this is probably because it costs so much to phone on PAYG!) I have had a quick look on the phones4u website and i quite like the look of the Sony Ericsson W850i which is £35 a month with 500 free txts & 500 free minutes. Anyone got one of these? I doubt i'd use the MP3player though TBH as i've already got one of the purple Sony ones. The LG chocolate phone looks ok & that has 12months half price rental. Are these any good? All my old phones have always been Nokia but i'm up for a change. Any help would be much appreciated as i don't want to rush into things & get stuck with a 12/18 month contract that is a complete nightmare! Cheers, Rob
  9. If you’ve actually got the parts that are on the shopping list then I guess its alright and it’s down to personal taste. Just like changing the bumpers on your car etc.. Some people will like it & some people wont.. I agree with miko_supra though, there’s nothing worse than seeing a fiesta with HKS and Blitz stickers all over it!
  10. I can't believe there's three pages of comments and no ones mentioned how fit the bird is in it! haha! it's worth watching just for her imo, and i think its a decent film. At least there's none of that "Whoa! i've hit the NOS button and everything’s going blurry and i can't see" crap like the other two!... Some really nice cars in it as well but unfortunately no supras
  11. I've got 19" Ultralight evolves on mine, I don't think they're copies of other wheels. Not that i've seen anyway... might be wrong http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=295
  12. B1 HEK i'm guessing is supposed to mean BI HECK or BY HECK.. If you say it in a manchester accent it sounds right .. e.g By heck, i could murder a pint! I agree though, i'm usually rubbish at working private plates out!
  13. Yeah, removing the dash panels is really easy.... putting the cigarette lighter back in is like doing a rubik's cube! Lots of parts twisting and locking in place! mine still pulls out every now and then if i'm not carefull..
  14. I made this desktop wallpaper when i was bored so i thought i'd share it with you guys..
  15. I bet your gutted you got there late Kieran! You missed out on sitting in the traffic jam for an hour! haha! I thought it was an excellent night, i really enjoyed it and so had everyone else i'd spoken to.. It was an impressive turnout & at least the rain managed to hold off! Rob

  18. Going off postcodes i've found on the internet i've made a few maps that might help people out. If i've got the wrong places then someone let me know or i won't be turning up on time ... Looks pretty straight forward to get to if your coming down the M55, Cheers, Rob..

  20. Opps! never thought of that! cheers mate
  21. It's just a thought but i realised the other day but the number plate on my car is N924 TBO... Now i was wondering if i could sell my number plate to a Porsche owner and then use the money to buy myself a new private plate? Do you think anyone would want it? and how much could i get? It'll probably come to nothing but you never know... Anyone know of any porsche owners club websites etc?...
