  1. Was this an actual Toyota part? I've not seen many supra's with them fitted. If it was, I wonder if you can order them from Mr T? I wouldn't mind one!
  2. If you decide to sell the diff seperate from the conversion then i could be interested
  3. No probs It's a few years since I did this but I remember it being quite straightforward.
  4. If it's an Auto TT loom then yes, it needs hardwiring in to the big plug (not sure about a manual loom, could be the same) This is quoted from the NA-TT thread - 'the big plug with the most wires in (6/7 wires?) has the reverse light wires in and these need joining to the reverse light switch. You just need to put 12v to each one until you get the right one that brings on the reverse lights, and the 2 thicker wires on the connector need snipping and joining together. The only other one thats used is the speed sensor which has the right plug on anyway. The ones that aren't used, we just tape up and tuck out of the way.' There are some good pics and info on how to do it on this page - http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/auto_to_6spd_swap/install_6spd/index.html
  5. Is it a reverse gear sensor? That's what i thought it was when i took it out by mistake thinking it was the speed sensor! It looks like this (if you've not already removed it); Speed sensor looks like this;
  6. Story of my life, horn down and not emptying my inbox lol! No need to thank me about the tickets, you're doing a legendary job with the fundraising! Top man!
  7. Also, another thing that drives me crazy is when you flash an oncoming car to let them through a gap (say parked traffic down one side of the road means you can’t fit two cars through). You sit there waiting patiently for them to drive through and they don’t even acknowledge you! No wave, no thank you, sometimes not even eye contact! This drives me absolutely insane! Sometimes I just sit there with my horn down, or put my arm out of the window and give them the finger lol!
  8. Yeah, it's fair enough if that's the case (fair game lol) but it's really annoying if you'd turned them off in plenty of time!
  9. I hate it when you're driving down a dark road at night and there's a car heading towards you. Both cars turn off their full beams but at the last second, just before you pass each other, the other car flicks their full beams back on and blinds you! This drives me insane lol!
  10. From experience, there's a huge difference in noise between a decatted NA and a TT. The NA is a lot louder due to the lack of turbo's softening the sound and the sequential system closing part of the exhaust under 4k revs. When I double decatted my NA and fitted a stainless manifold it sounded like a formula 1 car. It was ridiculously loud lol! My TT on the other hand is pretty quiet even with a nur spec r fitted. To answer the original question, yes it will make it quieter. I used to refit the 2nd cat for the MOT

    V160 oil

+1 for the Royal Purple Synchromax. I've had it mine for a while and it's great.
  12. 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' springs to mind! lol
  13. Wow!.. Thank god we have central reservations
  14. It shouldn't be expensive if everything goes smoothly.... however, the studs are prone to shearing off (they did on mine) which meant the elbow had to come off for them to be drilled out & then a had to source some studs. Luckily Chris Wilson had some in stock and i was able to drive and pick them up
  15. I fitted a switch to mine to overide the aerial going up and down. It was a while ago now but i think i found the wire from the back of the stereo that sends a signal to the aerial, cut it and fitted a switch. I think it was a blue wire.
  16. A trick i learnt from someone on here a while ago is to put a plastic carrier bag onto your hand, grab hold of the oil filter with it and when it unscrews the filter drops into the bag and catches the oil. You can then lift the bag out through the engine bay for a mess free filter change (almost)
  17. Awesome! Well done that man! I don't think the guy was heavy handed at all. He just picked him up and threw him off? Quite calmly as well. It's not like he started pummelling the kids face in! He did well not to give him a proper kicking once he was off the train
  18. I've got a spare W58 bell housing. Make me an offer
  19. I wouldn't let mine go for that price. Also, the auto one can be used on manual cars so that will help your sale
  20. You're missing something 'Si's Supe' started a new thread with the same clip. I posted a link to this thread. The mods have merged the two threads together
