    Headlight Rings

I'd be happier to pay more and have it last longer. I wouldn't want to be pulling the headlights apart every month to polish the alloy rings. Steel/stainless steel rings & then chromed would be the best bet. Alloy would dull really quickly, especially if there's a bit of moisture in the lights.

  3. Is there anyone local to you that owns a TT? You could meet up with them and compare the hoses side by side so you can plumb them in correctly.
  4. I have a K&N one on mine for the main reason that there's a nut attached to the end which makes it really easy to get off. Plus it's a reputable company. Pretty cheap off eBay too http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/K-N-KN-OIL-FILTER-fits-TOYOTA-SUPRA-3-0-1986-1998-HP-1002-/130600075987?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1e685f02d3#ht_1309wt_1303
  5. +1 for plusgas, it worked wonders on mine! Make sure it's plusgas though, wd40 is nowhere near as good. If the worst happened and a stud snapped, they go into the turbo elbow (type thing) not the manifold, so you'd have to remover that and drill them out. Not the end of the world
  6. PM Phil (Terminator). He's the resident RLTC expert and he's helped hundereds of people out on here including me. I'm sure he'll help you out, he's a top bloke!
  7. A lot more advanced than the version the OP has linked to, but apparently BMW have patented an electric turbo that will reduce lag when coupled with a bigger turbo; http://www.topspeed.com/cars/car-news/bmw-files-patent-for-electric-powered-turbocharger-tri-turbo-m3-still-a-possibility-ar119350.html http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2011/11/bmw-patents-electric-turbocharger-will-we-see-it-in-the-next-m3.html The new M3 was supposed to be a 3.3L Tri-turbo 450bhp engine with one of the turbos being electric but i don't think they had it finished in time
  8. Hi Paul! How's tricks? I'm hoping to make a few meets over the summer so looking forward to catching up. I would have had a drive up tonight if i wasn't so busy!
  9. I've not had time to get to any Supra events for a long time. I'll be off work for summer hols soon though so i think i'll pop up to the next mascrat meet! It'd be good if everyone else came along for a good catch up!
  10. Cheers David, that's what i thought. If i was the OP i'd probably buy the diff but hold off from fitting it and change it at the same time as the TT conversion. There's no sense in making your car slower for a year
  11. Won't swappng your NA diff for a TT one give you a higher top speed but slower acceleration?
  12. No probs I learnt everything i know about supras here! If you're going BPU then it's definitely worth doing the 6spd conversion as the 5spd's get a bit ropey around 400bhp. I broke 2 of them before I bought the 6spd box. Wish I'd done it in the first place and saved some money!
  13. If you're running a W58 at the moment then you'll be using a 5-speed clutch & flywheel which won't fit the 6spd Getrag. They're totally different. The 5spd prop is also different so you'll need that too as the gearbox connections are different. If you've had a TT diff fitted at some point then I think the flange may have been changed to an NA one so that it mates up to your 5spd prop. Either that or you have a modified 5spd prop. Hope this helps. I went from w58 to a V161 6spd a while back
  14. Gearbox, Clutch, Flywheel, Prop, TT diff (or just the flange from one to fit onto the NA diff) I think the slave cylinder is slightly different too but you might be ok with the NA one. I think that's about it
  15. Matt's has a Varis rear spoiler. The Varis has an adjustable part in the middle of the blade.

  17. This guy was after a silver front bumper. Not sure if he got fixed up or not? http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?268679-Worth-making-insurance-claim&p=3387648#post3387648
  18. It wasn't me but I'm from Congleton and I'm sure I've seen your car around before. I've seen a black spoilerless one around anyway. Two of my mates have black supras and they're in Congleton on a daily basis. One lives in macc, the other from Holmes Chapel so it could have been one of them. Both pre-facelift although one has facelift headlights. Are you local too? We've almost got enough for a mini-meet There was a silver tt in Morrisons car park this afternoon too with smoked rear lights! It had an owners club sticker in the rear windows but not sure who's it is. Seems like Congleton is becoming a magnet for supras!
  19. AFAIK TRD didn't make a carbon version of this spoiler so all carbon TRD wings are non genuine.
  20. I'm a Design & Technology teacher in a high school! Have been for 7 years now. It's really hard work but never gets boring
  21. Oops! although I can't talk, white is just as bad, if not worse nowadays!
  22. If it was me I'd just pick up a second hand bumper in silver. They normally sell for around £50 in good condition and they're quite common in silver. Easy to swap, job done Edit : not sure if this is still available :- http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?257639 There is no way I'd go through the insurance for something as minimal as this. It would bump your premium right up & you would lose no claims if not protected.
  23. From what i read I don't think it's a 100% remake of the original. This new film is based on the same book that the original Total Recall movie was based on so the story is going to be slightly different. I'm not getting my hopes up either but it doesn't look too bad from the trailer. Benny!! Screwww Youuu!!! Edit - The book (short story) was called 'We Can Remember It for You Wholesale' by Philip K. Dick incase anyone is interested
