  1. It was a few years ago now but I think I removed both (mine doesn't have a passenger airbag). From what I remember the ECU slides onto a metal bracket/clip type thing. With some wiggling/fiddling it came out. There are two different ECU's btw. A red one and a blue one. Both have the same connectors and do the same job but I think the blue is an updated version. The red ones seem to die during really cold winters. I did have a picture of them both side by side open somewhere but I can't find it. You could see that the capacitors were different. I fitted a blue one from Keron and the car has been ever since
  2. When I swapped the central locking ECU I could get to it by removing the glove box? Are your hands like Hellboy?
  3. Tell me about it! (Nerd warning) The new Tesla car has height adjustable suspension which uses geofencing. Using GPS the car knows/learns when to raise and lower the suspension. So as you turn down the road to your house the car automatically raises up ready to go up your drive way. Same could be applied to roads with speed bumps / potholes etc. So clever!
  4. If done properly, air suspension can handle very well and out perform expensive coilovers. I'm sure there's been a few threads already on here. The downsides are price 3K+ for a set up and i'm guessing increased weight? edit, here's one - http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?308332-Air-ride&highlight=air+ride+suspension Fingers crossed the price will come down over the next few years. I'd love it on my Supra. I think it'd be great for a street car. If I spent a lot of time on the track I'd stick to expensive coilovers.
  5. How bad is the damage? A friend recently sold his black 96 TT auto for £10k. I thought he was mad putting it up for sale at that price (I said £8k) but he put it on pistonheads and it sold in under a fortnight! That wasn't even an aerotop and I don't think it had as many extras as yours.
  6. Mine have always been dodgy. I've lost count of how many times I've been hit in the head by the boot. I've had a spare set to fit for ages now but am I right in thinking half of the interior panels need to be removed to get at the fixings?
  7. Happy Birthday Paul! Have a great day!
  8. No problem I'm not sure if it's the same with the NA covers but make sure you tighten each bolt in sequence a little bit at a time. The TT ones can crack quite easily if you don't. Its probably to do with the length of them
  9. Oh, and it's 5.5 Nm for the TT rocker covers in case anyone searches and finds this thread
  10. It's very common on the j-spec brakes. You only need to over-tighten the bleed nipple a tiny amount and they crack.
  11. This one? 16343 GASKET, WATER OUTLET HOUSING (16343-46030)
  12. You shouldn't need a chassis number if you can give them the actual part number you need; UK Left Front Calliper 47750-14270 UK Right Front Calliper 47730-14260 UK Left Front Disk 43516-14030 UK Right Front Disk 43512-14200 UK Fitting kit rear 04948-14010 UK Fitting kit front 04947-14010 UK Left Rear Disk 42431-14150 UK Right Rear Disk 42431-14150 UK Left Rear Calliper 47750-14280 UK Right Rear Calliper 47730-14270 UK Brake Pads Front (both) 04465-14150 UK Brake Pads Rear (both) 04466-14040 UK Shim kit rear 04946-14030 UK Shim kit front 04945-14110

    Headlight Rings

I'm definitely still interested in the rings for the facelift headlights. Surely they could be pressed out of thin stainless steel and then chromed? Similar to the dash rings but obviously bigger.

  15. I was actually reading up on this/searching the other day. From all the old posts I found it seems normal household bleach is one of the best things to use. Obviously it's probably best to do it outside and with gloves as it's nasty stuff

    VSV query

    1. There is no adjuster, I think you are talking about the bleed valve that is supposed to let air through 2. All VSVs will be the same from any 2JZ-GTE (Supra TT) engine however they are worth replacing as the heat from the engine kills them over time and the electrical contacts inside break up. 3. No, that will be the correct part number Out of interest, do you have a boost controller fitted? I'm only asking as this makes one of the VSV's redundant so that could be why your car was still running fine previously. Edit - afaik there are 4 different VSVs that operate the sequential system. As long as you get the same one from another car it will be fine
  17. The giants bow and arrow was epic! If you're going to die, go in style like that guy launched straight off the top of the wall! Also, the giant anchor type thing they let loose was a nice touch!
  18. Yes. I know because I'm running one and had it fitted when I was running the W58, way before I got the V161
  19. Less is more as they say I would definitely go with some like this for mine as the stock oem leathers are starting to look a bit dated.
  20. They're lovely mate! Nice choice
  21. Definitely sounds like the gearbox is wrecked. Happened to me twice unfortunately with pretty much the same symptoms
  22. Had my xbox one delivered earlier and loving it so far. Forza is amazing. Mine came with Fifa (download code) but i'll never play it. If anyone fancies it they can have it for £20. I'll put it on ebay otherwise
  23. Almost 100% certain it will be water in the plugs. I did the same thing years ago & so have many others. Its a bad design really as there is no way the water can drain out or really escape.
