I've also got these and they're very good quality!.. I think the antitheft ones with the grubscrew are still prone to seizing on. It's in the back of the dial cluster where the twist fit bulbs are.. Mine didn't last long before getting taken out either!

Sorry to hear you're having problems with the car Mike.. Hope it's easily sorted! On the issue of the battery connectors you might be right. Did you see the thread where the guy fitted non-standard battery connectors and his car wouldn't run right? But it worked ok with damaged stock ones? Here it is, see post #15 http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=183270 Hope this solves your problem. Does your battery have the large or small terminals?.. I got one for the small terminals from Steve Manley a while ago

I think an auto ECU will work with a manual car but not the other way around because the auto ECU also controls some features of the gearbox
