  1. I thought my aux tensioner bearing had gone because the car was making a metalic duff-bearing type noise. I tried two different tensioners, changed the power steering pump, water pump and crank pulley before i found out it was the belt making the noise! Sprinkle some talcum powder onto the belt & see if the noise stops I found WD40 would stop it temporarily but made it worse in the long run. It could just be a damp belt from all the rubbish weather we've been having.
  2. http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/hks_turbo_timer/turbo_timer.htm Should only be a 30 min job Looks like you've got the right harness. You need to remove some of the ducting to get to the loom. It's quite straight forward.
  3. Looks like it was a Fiat Brava to me, and 1 less of them on the planet is a good thing for everyone!

    Bioshock

My pre-ordered copy arrived this morning! Can't wait to get on it when i get in from work!!
  8. I had a drive up with a couple of friends Food was good, 2 meals for £10 (very friendly & polite service). No police. About 20ish cars turned up which i don't think was bad considering the cold, dark February evening. If Mascrat don't mess things up again it could potentially be good again by the summer. Oh and there seems to be some new young female waitresses working there which should keep Matt happy! lol! p.s Nice to meet you Tooley!
  9. I did mine last weekend. Really easy job, longest part was getting the crank bolt off. I changed the water pump at the same time as it had never been changed & the cambelt has to be off to do it (i think). Managed to get a new one for £75 so it seemed like a no brainer. I also fitted a new crank pulley as mine was looking a bit wobbly. Maybe it was me being paranoid, but i had one fall apart on my old NA so i figured it was a good idea
  10. Right, i'm pre-ordering it then!!
  11. Is this a remake of the old PC game? Or is it totally different?
  12. Thanks for that I'll have another go once it's light.
  13. I've had a good search but can't find any answers. Is there a way of removing the pulley without taking the whole compressor out? When i try to undo the nut it just spins I've bought a new shorter fan belt to fit as my aircon wasn't working anyway. Thanks.
  14. Happy Birthday mate!! :friday:
  15. I went to New York last summer & it was amazing! You should definetly go! I'm going back there this April for my birthday! I can't wait!!
  16. Happened to me too, but i never got round to posting in that thread The car would unlock fine but wouldn't lock. It's on & off at the moment as to whether it works or not. I'm going to take the door card off when i get chance to see if some damp has gotten in over winter
  17. Happy Birthday Mike!! Have a good en'!! :friday:
  18. I don't know how they can make an amazing game like Forza 3 so quickly yet Sony have been pi**ing around for years with this!! If it ever comes out it's gonna have to be pretty damn impressive to beat Forza. I'm annoyed because i only bought a PS3 for GT5 and the new Final fantasy game and both have them have never turned up!! It's just sat gathering dust while the Xbox gets used almost daily! And final fantasy is coming out on the 360 now anyway!
  19. I got a Samsung N140 for Xmas & It's a cracking piece of kit! The battery lasts for ages
