  1. There's supposed to be a good one in Stafford Mike (maybe a bit too far?). They're called 'Vital Hydrographic Printing' - They've got a facebook page with examples of their work, I'm considering getting a few bits done.
  2. As far as I'm aware, the V161 had uprated syncro rings compared to the V160 as Toyota must have realised there was an issue. The syncro issues I've seen over the years tend to be on the V160 not the V161. If it is definitely a V161 (some late V160s have the same uprated outer casing so it can be difficult to tell) the fact it's got an issue might suggest its had quite a hard/misused life.
  3. My favorite was the 1970 Chaparral 2J. They added an extra small engine at the rear from a snowmobile, powering two giant fans that literally sucked it to the ground. The grip was ridiculous and gave it a big advantage, the trouble was the fans sucked up dirt and debris from the track and sprayed the cars behind. This is a great read - http://www.roadandtrack.com/motorsports/a32350/jim-hall-chaparral-2j-history/
  4. It's to do with 'crank walk'. There have been lots of threads and debate on this over the years. I think it's more of an issue in the US as I 'think' Supras there were fitted with a security feature that meant they couldn't be started without pushing the clutch in. A lot of people removed this due to the risk of crank walk. Off the top of my head it was something to do with the crank being so long on the straight six engine and it not being balanced properly if starting up the engine with a disengaged clutch.
  5. Same here. I'd love to go but things like this put me off!

  7. Me too. I messaged yesterday saying i'd take the bumper as you wanted the wings? I'm local so I can collect the bumper.
  8. Is it the angle of that picture or is the top of the calliper catching on the disc?
  9. I always thought pre facelift and facelift were different colours? Pre facelift = black rubber coated dash panels Facelift = lighter grey painted dash panels?

  11. Yeah, great to see everyone last night both new and old Nice weather and a good selection of cars. Apparently someone was filming with a drone so i'll try to keep an eye out for the footage. I'm looking forward to the next meet already
  12. I'm not sure how much you get in the universal kit but the Supra kit should come with; two #3 plugs two #3 male to 10mm adapters Brake Line Adapter, Inverted Flare Female to #3 Male #3 male to brake line fitting and two braided steel lines; Speed-Flex Line 3AN Female Swivel Straight To 3AN Female Swivel 90 deg,Length 14in. Speed-Flex line 3AM Female Swivel straight To 3AN Female Swivel Straight, Length 10in. If you were getting the lines made up yourself I guess you wouldn't need the adapters, just get 10mm fittings on the steel lines.
  13. Hi Paul! Long time no see! It'll be great to see you and have a catch up!
  14. Can you add me a +1 please, Tiff should be coming with me
  15. I should be able to make this one!
  16. Otherwise mechanics etc wouldn't be covered to drive your car under their trader's policy.
  17. I've got two separate insurance policies. I just checked out of interest and one says that I can drive any car with third party cover as long as it isn't owned by my partner. The other policy says any car third party (nothing about it being a partners car). It's worth checking if you are unsure. I wonder how partner is defined in legal terms? Married, Girlfriend, living together etc...
