This came to me when parked up for the upteenth time next to a veilside supe in Caterham who clearly doesnt know about the club, plus a number of other supes that i have passed that were parked up. Anyway the idea is business cards. If these were given out in quantities of ten of so with membership packs, you could slip one under the wiper of a parked supe with your member id on so that the person knows who did it and find out about the club. It would be great if that person was looking for this kind of community and its benefits. On the other hand they might turn out to be not very nice. just an idea (not terribly well articulated).

......on my poor old hand brake handle. does anyone have any suggestions on what to replace the battered hand brake bits with? I have seen a momo cover but I'm looking for something a little plainer. Any suggestions very welcome as always:thumbs:

I admire those guys in primary, little kids drive me mad. I prefere the older kids. they've got loads of attitude and great fun to teach. There is no age restriction on teaching so she could still do it alot later on if you move. (could still always learn the welsh)

Only training days right at the beggining or more usually right at the end of each holiday. Hating kids not the best reason to start teaching, Lesson plans to begin with but not as important once you know whats going on.

Primary for some bizarre reason is really oversubscribed. You have to teach every subject and marking will become your life. 16k is a training salary that goes up to 20 odd when you are qualified then there are all manner of points and increments. The point is its very enjoyable and the holidays are all paid and awesomely long

Science, maths, english. You can pretty much go anywhere in the country. training takes about 6 months PGCE and a years teaching after that to qualify. get 6k to train. GTP is training on the job. You are Pretty much thrown in at the deep end and the experience can be a bit full on. Get paid more though, 16k I think. Its not easy but really fullfilling.

true unless you are in the private sector like moi (state sector gets a bit dumped on). I think its about 20K in state for a new starting teacher. More if you teach a core or shortage subject (five grand welcome hand shake for ceratin subjects). Its really not as bad as people make out.

I know what you mean, it wouldnt be dificult for them to do that extra bit. its a darn sit ebetter than the before pic though.

go into teaching, never a dull moment, quite the opposite infact.

Could always get 'em to wash it but last time I saw the kids do a sponsored carwash I saw a sponge dropped onto the gravel by accident and then promptly picked up and applied to a car!
