  1. Okay Matt, do you want the sub/amp? Text me. I'm near Newmarket until next week, and don't have instant access to a computer. The highest bid was £71, but I'll take £70, as long as I can get you to buy a round of Gin & Tonics! go-NATS
  2. The Kenwood DDX-7015 Touchscreen DVD head unit is now sold! Thanks for all interested. There's still a sub and amp that'll fit nicely in the boot! Reasonable offers accepted. go-NATS
  3. Well, since most are interest in the head unit alone, I'm parting it out separately, and yes the sub sounds really nice, and fits right behind the rear seats! The head unit will go for L350. The sub/amp will go as needed. The wiring harness is fully included, with labels. The users/installation manual will be sent in Adobe PDF, unless I can find the hard-copy, as I still have it somewhere! (Only difference is the hard copy has about 10 different languages!) I'm heading out of town next week, so text/call me at 07901-595766, and I'll get back with you to make pick-up/delivery arrangments. go-NATS
  4. With the demise of my Supra , I was able to get my sound system out. I'm now in a Beamer (don't laugh!) , and the radio is pretty much 'leave it alone'. So, I won't be using my system after all. Anyone interested in acquiring a Kenwood DDX-7015, 2-Din Touchscreen DVD Player? I'm trying to bundle the head unit with an 8" NOS8 Tube Subwoofer, with the 300W Amp. Not the loudest, but sounds really nice in the boot of a Supra. Instead of listing all the specs here, you can check them on my new classified ads website: http://www.harrogate-ads.com/cgi-bin/classified/classified.pl?category=electronic1&item=1148215590 PM me if interested, and leave a number so I can get back to you. Asking $800 USD or UK Sterling equivalent (roughly 450 quid) for the lot. Postage is extra and will be at cost plus packaging. Payment is cash, check (must clear), bankers draft or PayPal.
  5. As much as I've toyed with the idea of getting another Supra, my B&C (Ball and Chain wife!) has talked me into getting something more tame! So, I'm going for the Lexus IS200. Don't worry, it'll be another project car, and it's a Toyota! Hey, can I still hang out with the Big Dawgs every once in a while? I promise I'll stay away from the Gin (sniff, sniff!) (notice signature block is gone!)
  6. Yep the Supra is a goner! It was fun while it lasted! I'll be settling with my insurance company next week, and will either be in another Supra or a Lotus Elise, hopefully by next weekend! We'll see. Matt, thanks for privacy. The casket is closed. I'd like to keep it that way! go-NATS (in the voice of the Terminator... I'll be Bock!), last time I use this signature block!
  7. 1984 Toyota SR5 1991 Geo Tracker (or Suzuki Escudo) 1993 Hyundai Scoupe (turbo....oooh, ahhhh!) 1995 Ford Explorer 1993 & 1994 Honda Integra 1994 Lexus ES300 1994 Supra NA (converted it to TT) 2005 Dodge Durango (HEMI/V8 4x4) Tree huggers beware! ...and once the business get's going, perhaps a Lotus Elise (or Excige...dreamin, but hey, dreamed about a Supra back in the day!) I've just started a classified ads website for Harrogate and hopefully it'll grow in the next couple of years. go-NATS
  8. Everyday driver, unless the weather is crappy! Got a Dodge Durango (HEMI) for that! And yes! Waiting on the turbo's to warm-up is a pain in the arse! go-NATS
  9. Same here with the son on my desktop! However, when I'm on the road, I have a more 'risque' desktop picture! go-NATS

    Help!

Does it mean that although it's still in customs custody, it's being insured by the airport? The costs will be passed to you, hence the statement 'may be gathering storage charges'. Better get there early, because something tells me that airlines don't always go for the cheapest insurance! go-NATS
  13. That pileup was pretty messy... but I have to admit, this maze is even better. (maybe this post should go in games....!?) go-NATS
  14. One helluva car! Looks good. Especially with the rear diffuser! I've always like the RX-7, and I almost picked one up in Japan. After fighting to get in it, I thought the Supra worked best for sliding in and out of! go-NATS
  15. I managed to lose the back end of mine (when it was an NA). It happened on a wet road, just as I was accelerating, and changing lanes! If you get on questionable surfaces, it's easy to hit that 'MANU' mode, for those automatic NA's out there. The gear shifting is sluggish, but at least it keeps the wheels from getting away from you. The result of my 180 on Okinawa's Highway 58 was only a few dents and scratches. It cost me more to repair my Supra than it did to replace a whole dump-truck bumper! Saying that... something 'bout smacking the back-end of a 2-Ton dump truck, while sliding sideways down a busy highway, makes you appreciate a small dent like that! Someone 'upstairs' was definitely looking out for me that day! go-NATS
  16. Better yet, try the website http://motomodders.net or http://www.motox.us. I think both are free to join, and you get a lot of good pointers. You just need a data cable, some time, and your fingers crossed. I successfully reflashed my V3, and removed the branding! If you need any of the software, there's tons of it on the net. go-NATS
  17. That's just insane! You know something's wrong when your number plate costs more than your car!
  18. I had mesh before I went with the TT engine/FMIC. When the mechanic installed the FMIC, he asked if I wanted the mesh. I said yes, but he balked. So of course, who knows best? I agree that it looks better with the mesh. However, it looks scary with the FMIC visible through the opening. As far as the mesh color, it really depends on the color of the car. Both pictures are viewable in my garage. You be the judge! Actually... looking at them both side by side just now, you've made me realize that I may go back to mesh... meddler! go-NATS
  19. Looking at newreg.com as well as dval.co.uk! Really tough to get something unique...
  20. With the postings about vandalism and Supra thefts, I no longer feel as safe as I thought I would be in my 'retirement' neighborhood! I'm going to get an alarm, but want to make sure I get something that my fellow MKIV owners have experience with. I'd like a GPS tracking type of system, but don't want the monthly fees. If that's too expensive, then a standard alarm with immobiliser would be my next choice. One that can hook up with the power locks. Anyone know of a reliable brand, along with a shop that may save me a few pennies for fellow Supra owners? go-NATS
  21. I've got the TEIN-HR coilovers, and the ride is firm, but comfortable. They are adjustable. I also notice that the slower I drive, the more I hate the firmness. Just incentive to go faster!!! go-NATS
  22. Haven't had a chance to put it on the road from York through Ripon yet! Can't wait. I don't have my UK tags yet, so I don't want to venture too far out. 'Been pulled over by the base police already. I think they just wanted a look more than anything! Right now I've got some printed paper tags in the window with my old Japanese number plate details until I get th V5. Looking for a personalised number in the future. Any suggestions?
