Considering the condition of most of the UK cars I've seen, I'd pick Import every time, and the freshest one I could find at that, take every car on its own merits though, try and get a look underneath them.

Just to get my head round this Cat C & D stuff, you guys are telling me a car can have a heavy shunt like that with a £6000 payout to repair and it dont go on record? thats terrible if true, id be gutted if i bought a car that had been in an accident without knowing.

Id always push for a write off myself, never easy to sell a cat c or d registered car, you will take a big hit when you come to sell it.

Good choice, LM20's are much nicer that the 505's mate

MIchelin pilot super sports are a very good all round tyre IMO, they give R888 type straight line grip on my GTR, a little squishy in the bends, great in the wet, not sure on size options though.

It's always best to buy the car you want than to convert, this car came up cheap though and is mint, I don't mind spending a few $ to get it how I want, I am going to do the R154 box and TT lump by the look of it, will still work out a cheap car, a mint facelift TT6 is ITRO £12,000 I'd guess, my car cost £3000, add to that £3000 for a TT conversion and a grand for the box all done, still a cheap clean car for me. Resale is not really a consideration at the moment, no plans to sell it.

Albert is a good guy, I've bought loads of stuff off him over the years, GTR bits are always 100%, he has had a few problems with Supra parts over the years but that's always going to happen when you sell as much stuff as he does, if there is a problem with a part he will refund/exchange.
