  1. I wouldn't, how come you are waiting so long to get the car?
  2. As with any car, I'd just do normal servicing, and plus replace parts as/if they break. If you are going to use the car all year round, maybe get it under sealed. Have you got the car yet?
  3. Any kind members help is out with a few parts we are missing? Would be much appreciated 1. drivers side door trim that holds the carpet in place 2. Boot foams for tools 3. Long boot plastic that covers the rear light wiring 4. Sun visors 5. Rear hockey sticks (bolts to the bottom of the rear arch) 6. Long plastic bit that connects the hockey sticks 7. Plastic surround that covers the door opener on drivers door card. 8. Rubber part that clips round the handbrake. 9. Side indicators for the front wings. 10. 3rd brake light.
  4. They are monsters, should give amazing traction, looking at the pictures though, I think you are going to have rubbing issues.
  5. I use to use spray blast engineering in high Wycombe James, he did a Greddy intake for me once, he will powedercoatbthe TB if you strip it down.
  6. Nice work, glad it's stock body.
  7. V161 feels closer ratio, for me the gears are perfect, with a V160 I prefer using a UK auto diff as gears are to long I think.
  8. That's a good point, the extra RPM is a huge bonus.
  9. With regards to tuning, it makes no odds really, VVTI will aid turbo spooling a tad. A set of HKS 264 VVTI cams will push more power than anyone round here is likely to ever want, and if you do want bigger cams they are available.
  10. If two cars was identical other than VVTI, then I would have the VVTI car, but I don't think there is much in it tbh, I'd be more concerned about finding a nice condition, low mile car. As H. Says, the VVTI is defiantly more lively at low revs.
  11. You would make a great private investigator
  12. On a single dyno pull you could make huge hp with a big turbo/setup, it wouldn't last long though. So I doubt many would bother.
  13. Have a look at Jay200bhp car. Stunning car. There might be some pictures in the anniversary meet thread.
  14. Nothing like a stock engine tbh Chris, the two things that fail first have been replaced, head and rod bolts.
  15. Thanks Shane, if you want me to edit the first post at all, let me know mate.
  16. I know people have done 1000bhp on stock engines, but I honestly can't see that lasting 2 min unless the car is just a dyno queen or comes out of the garage once a year for a quick highway pull. I wouldn't go much over 650-700 and 2 bar boost if you want it reliable. Every time I've pushed a stock engine I've had head lift issues once I go over 2 bar and I'm in the higher gears. I've killed two engines with head lift.
  17. Yes, I just had to remove the top bolt on the outside edges of both the front liners.
  18. As long as you don't roll them out of shape and deform the arch, I don't see an issue with resale down the line.
  19. They look the closest match.
