Sounds like the diff may be on its way out, small facelift diffs don't like single turbo power, I'd change to a big case diff.

Sounds like it's in a bad way if it has in and out play, as you have all ARP hardware in the engine I'd go PT6466 GEN2 Also, I'd give up on using the pops and bangs.

KAI don't spool to bad either, still a nice turbo.

Take the tailgate plastic off and look from the underside, you should still be able to see where the holes was filled and drill them out.

It fits the stock holes.

I wasn't recomending the T04z, I was just trying to point out that on the road you won't notice a great deal of difference between an old school turbo and the latest ones out there, picking the correct turbo for the setup/engine with the correct size .ar and wheels is more important than getting the lightest billet wheel available. ive always been a big Precision fan myself, my GEN2 6266, spools very fast (full boost at 3200rpm) and will do 700bhp with ease when I fit some cams. I was impressed with the borg Warner FMW 61 I had on the duck though, cheap turbo and overlaying the goose and duck graphs there was nothing between them.

62mm turbo will do 700bhp easy enough these days, but I wouldn't get to sucked into the latest turbo hype. Old school non billet 67 such as the T04z is still a decent enough turbo, do-luck car still goes like a rocket and spools plenty fast enough.
