  1. Mile events are hard on the car but you should be able to hold the car flat out without worry IMO, if you can't do that what the point in tuning the car for more power? I knew my car was not best but I took the risk, I was already getting some smoke and running my injectors at 100% is very risky an all. It's not the worry of the car breaking that stops me from doing these events in future, it the worry of having a very high speed crash. Going full opposite lock at 150+ mph is not my idea of fun, the track was dangerous IMO. Just emailed Lee a huge list of upgrades to be done to the car over winter, he is going to love me:d soon as Lee has pulled the engine the body is off to nur motorsport for various jobs. Jamie:)
  2. Home at last:D Cheers guys, Right... im off to plan my comeback:D
  3. Glad you got back ok mark, I have dropped the car at Lee's and now in a taxi, be home in an hour, that was a long day.
  4. And to top it of I'm still in the blooming AA truck:(
  5. Yeah the track was dangerous for big power cars, bit like driving on grass:d I won't run mine there again.
  6. Cheers guys, I will live to fight another day. On the AA truck now. Got to change onto another AA truck at Thurrock services though.
  7. These things happen when you push a lot of power, get prepared for it;) Been a bit smokey for while, might not be the turbo, will know more when Lee pulls the engine.
  8. It is the AA I'm waiting for, dunno why I put Rac...
  9. Yeah, very hard on the cars these events, gutted for mike, he is talking about breaking it.
  10. I like the billet 76 so will most likely repair it, got a load of plans for it over the winter, Lee was due to pull the engine out next week anyhow as the head is coming off to be flowed and new cams. Just a bit fed up now as I wanted that 200+ run:( the car can stay at lee's now till the spring.
  11. F@&k sake, made it clear I needed a low loader and they send a van, got to wait another 90 min now they reckon for a truck then a 3 hour drive to lee's and a another hour or to get home freezing my arse off on a bike:(
  12. Track was terrible, covered in moss, nobody could get any traction. Very dangerous out there, first run I lost my bottle and let off at .7 of a mile, rolled over the line at 179mph Second run still loads wheel spin, I tried to keep my foot in but was starting to lose my nerve as the speeds was getting high, just thinking about letting off and pop, loads smoke.
  13. No, popped at .81 of a mile according to the logs 191 mph at 7700rpm I think Ryan said, serious White smoke. Getting relayed to lee's
  14. Good man, see you in the morning. I so want a big motorhome.

    Texas mile!

Yeah should be good, just watching my last years 190mph run, i looked pretty relaxed with one hand on the wheel. with this years rev limit and big wheels i only have to rev out in 5th, Ryan is upping my rev limit from 8200 to 8500rpm tomorrow. OjLceIfZV04
