  1. Lets have some pictures of the fitted cage, does the dash dodger get in the way of your leg? i went with a through dash, pita to fit tbh but im hoping the agro will be worth it, did you go with the door bars? they sent me two sets by mistake but i think im going to use both sets.
  2. I see a lot of "Going single" threads and im forever seeing people install parts that i think are a total waste of time for the power they want, keep the build simple. Take wallis, i dont mean any offence to him but cams and a full fuel systems for 500bhp? he would have been better buying a better turbo kit, spent over 10 grand and he is only 70-80bhp up on a decent bpu car.
  3. Is that built to building regs or built off a slab? Thats a good price if he is a trusted builder mate, dont just go for the cheapest, get some feedback and ask to pop along to any local jobs they are doing for a look.
  4. 4.5m x 6m = 27m at £500 per meter of floor space = £13,500+vat to give you an idea of what i would charge, you will most likely get it done for half that in Wales though;)
  5. whats the area of the part you want to extend? 4.5 x ?
  6. 600mm wide, depth depends on the ground, if lots roots or poor ground the building inspector may make you go deeper. Whats the size or the part you want extending? 4.5m x?
  7. Im talking wall foundations, when you say inner do you mean the oversite slab? 6" concrete slab is good for a garage floor, can reduce to 4" if you mesh it.
  8. Standard depth for the foundations is 1m below ground level if you are complying to building regs.
  9. Well put, id write the same if my wife visited the forum;)
  10. Thought you would know better as this is in tech, i never asked them to compare anything.
  11. Email i got back from Zirotec, i sent them a link to this thread:)
  12. Sounds like its going a bit ott to me, Internal coating is not happening on mine, i hear what he says about turning to dust if that is the case but i dont even like the idea of that, id worry about it killing my turbo no matter what they say. I was not to bothered about leaving mine un coated and with no heat wrap in the first place, zirotec ceramic coating just on the outside will do me, i went with the performance black, manifold/screamers/downpipe, looking forward to getting the bits back so Lee can crack on with getting it back together, will stick some pictures up of the heat coating when i get it back.
  13. Its fine, if you want to you can cement the joist in but it will have no real effect, the small sections of timber are noggins to stop the floor bouncing. It must have been done a long time ago as you are not allowed to do ground floors like that any more, we only ever do block and beam floors, i dont like solid concrete floors either as you can get heave between the summer and winter months if the sub soil is not stable.
  14. Wow this has turned into some thread, i cant be arsed to read though it all so whats the outcome? camcoat or zirotec ftw?
  15. I didn't think it would but I do remember him saying that's what he was after.
  16. Well done guys. Is that the 500rwhp you wanted or fly? If fly what was the rwhp?
  17. Sounds like all is coming along fast, hope all goes well this year mate, you deserve some good results, love the "Grizzly" comment:D
  18. Any info to back this claim up? I have sent a link to Zirotec to see if they want in on the topic.
  19. Just to add, the £710 was including post both ways, SRD sorted it all out for me, Cheers Lee.
  20. TBH, i dont mean any disrespect to camcoat but i only know one person that has used cam coat and i trust his opinion, he was not happy with the results and thats good enough for me to pay the extra and go with zirotec, F1 boys cant be wrong can they.
  21. Im having the zirotec done, cost was £710 in the end, im happy with that considering there credentials.
  22. It keeps the heat inside the exhaust instead of letting it escape into the engine bay.
  23. Agree... it would also depend who did the conversion for me.
  24. When you say loom do you mean the syvecs harness or have you gone with a custom engine loom?
  25. I have asked Lee to go ahead with the zirotec, thanks for the input.
