The car started life as a 1995 TT auto aero, if you need the month of registration i will have to get back to you, car and paperwork is round inlaws.
  2. Ive not worked mine out, off the top of my head its about 5 grand but thats with a brand new head. Brand new fully supertech built head was £1600 iirc from mvp. Cams was £500 Rods £550 Pistons £600ish acl bearings £200 billet mains £250 (second hand) arp mains and head about £300 Stock head gasket? Cant remember what the rebore was now.
  3. You cant compare to SRR mate, that rolling road wont load the engine at all and it will look to spool far slower, graph will look massivley different to the same car on a hub dyno, saying that the spool time on yours looks just about right to me for 3.4L and 76mm turbo, i dont think you have anything to worry about but i would still get it mapped by the best person out there, Ryan.
  4. Serious amount of money retail, glad you never paid that. btw top gear starts in 20min and they are testing GTR i hear.
  5. Rich mans game pushing these cars to such high bhp, if it was me, i would keep the power low on the new engine for a while (or at least until you have raced me;) ) let others be the test mules mate, thats the trouble with such a new car, not enough development yet in the tuning scene. Can i ask what the engine cost, i understand if you dont want to say. Must be so stressful for you all this, Thats the great thing with the 2jz, if my engine let go i honestly could not give a toss as long as i didnt miss any of the big meets, id hate to drive a car and have to worry about it letting go, i want to drive it flat out without a care.

I might take a px if i think i can get rid of it easy enough and the price is right.
  7. Missed where you said 550bhp, my best advice is buy a complete turbokit with everything you need, buying bits from all over the place can be a pita when it comes to fitting. I would go with whifbitz 600bhp S362 62mm Borg Warner kit with 3" DP/MP £3396.35 + VAT single walbro pump, drop in 650cc injectors Syvecs ECU mapped by Ryan at 2bartuning Decent single plate clutch if manual.
  8. So have they designed a complete new block or is the newer one just modded in a different way? have you had a look down the bores?
  9. Im bored to death so will to answer a few questions, To start with, how much bhp do you want?
  10. Yes mate, details in my project thread. Ive been called worse;)
  11. Mr E.KANOO has some tasty machines, he is a big Supra fan, check his other videos.
  12. "thinks to myself, must be the car":d
  13. For my car:- New drag rears fitted when they turn up. Lee to plumb in the nitrous (next week) Ryan to map the nitrous in just for first gear (the week after) Knightracer to fit my carbon/lexan rear hatch. Fingers crossed i can get off the line well.

Thanks for the nice words guys, it really is a very nice car.
  15. Ahh ok, he will know better than me thats for sure.
  16. Good to hear its an easy fix, id not use SRR for your car, that needs a hub dyno to get a decent map, the tyres will give up after one run.
  17. Risky not changing the rods on an engine that has seen det im affraid to say, hopefully a simple fix.
  18. When is mapping booked for mate? did the coolant pressurising thing get sorted? what did it turn out to be?
  19. 1845.43 miles, Time: 33 hrs 37 mins, stuff that:d
  20. I tried google maps but it wont give how long it would take to drive there, one sec ill go see what the satnav says:d
  21. Anyone know where this event is or what its called? shed load of videos on youtube. i take it its in europe somewhere, id like to take my car to the next one. EDIT, forget that, its in Moscow.
