  1. bigger the cams the slower the spool time is mark, 280's are for a 1000 plus bhp, 269's will do me just fine, im not after huge power anymore.
  2. Power is not a problem mark, im not interested in using nitrous either, i want quicker spool now im going a different direction with the car.
  3. Got some 325/50/15 hoosier drag radials in the garage going cheap.
  4. 7175 is rated to 985 Bhp and I made 979 with it. 6766 is rated to 935 Bhp, if I can make 850+ and faster spool I will be happy.
  5. Not sure, in the past it's never made much difference, thing is, my car is setup for big power, I think the 280 cams are not helping, gonna change to 269's I think.
  6. More info, Jurgen did 844 Bhp 1.5 bar at the flywheel at SRR 2 min ago he did 730 Bhp 1.5 bar at the hubs at dans dynapack hub dyno.
  7. Yeah H cover, going with a 1.15 divided hotside.
  8. Jonty got it off ebay USA irrc, he bought it a couple of weeks after i got my GT4088, he went with the water cooled R version. Also I dont think its a garrett turbo, we both bought precision GT4088's This is a video i took of your car many years ago, certainly felt quick at the time.
  9. See you Saturday guys, looking forward to it
  10. You going to the south mimms convoy mate? Lee in the car with you?
  11. It dont spool much quicker, gear changes are good though, its stays on the boil better. I forgot to ask what torque was, screen said 3126 ftlb but im guessing it needs some sort of conversion done to get the real ftlb EDIT, looking at old graphs its about 750ftlb. Turbo max'd out at 2 bar. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c338/jamie450x/graph.jpg
  12. As said above mark to many things need sorting on the car to go balls out, prop/gearbox need swapping/fuel pressure issue. changing the prop is not an option, im not killing a brand new £600 prop for one attempted race. I just didnt have time to get everything sorted.
  13. Number 6 is what you need mate, your car will come alive with a 4" exhaust im betting. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?213533-Garage-Whifbitz-Supra-exhausts
  14. Ryan was in the car with me you mapping at Dans then? thought you was using SRR?
  15. Just been to Silverstone, police everywhere, speed traps setup right outside the track so watch out.
  16. Thanks for the offer mate but Im not risking breaking the prop, might have a couple of easy start runs, that will be about it. I cant keep up with the reply's
  17. Got a mechanic? im not crawling round under the car mate, i really cant be arsed to break it tbh. Pumps are staged, Fuel system has been fine for 2 years, my money is on split pipe.
  18. Not had a chance to sort anything yet, been to busy It broke first time i used the car in anger, and that was on the street with a 2nd to 3rd gear change, id kill a stock prop with one start at the pod.
  19. Other prop is to much of a ball ache to fit if this one fails, what with all the different studs and flanges it takes ages to fit, plus all the tools id have to bring. redline is 8300 iirc.
  20. Ive not made my mind up yet, im worried about breaking the stock prop tbh.
