Titan mate, they are a pain to fit i hear, you planning on doing lots of drag racing? if not id not bother tbh, i never had one. Maybe go with a gearbox blanket if worried.
  2. I'd be up for a meet in Scotland at some point, get some nice driving roads in.
  3. Not worth the risk, I'd replace it.
  4. Measures over 4" across the flange mate, if its any good let me know and I will send out. http://just.razzi.me/photos/906088/19b8856.jpg http://just.razzi.me/photos/906081/19b8856.jpg
  5. John, have you got and intercooler pipe to come off the bottom of that turbo made up? if not i have one in the garage that might be perfect with the flange and clamp on it.
  6. Some name ideas would be great, maybe bringing into the names that its a 1/2 mile event?
  7. Single turbo auto with a built box and high stall is the perfect drag weapon Rob.
  8. I'd talk to somebody that has fitted the kit, Robbie on this forum had one for a short while iirc, I think he had issues with the car though and went back to a stock engine. The name cosworth does not mean it will be faultless, there version 1 GTR pistons are terrible and they stopped making them, serious piston slap with them, the latest ones are fine I hear.
  9. That's the idea mate, the 1/4 and 1/2 mile timing is done on every run you make, if you don't want to run the full 1/2 mile just let off after the 1/4.
  10. That will be up to Branners and depending on numbers I guess, it's normally opened up to other clubs as we struggle to make the numbers work sometimes, last year sky insurance saved the day buying a load of tickets.
  11. The place is huge mate, plenty of parking and looking into a large marquee, it's all depends on cost though.
  12. Same place. That was in the winter, it's to dangerous IMO doing the mile long events as you are doing silly speeds, 1/4 and 1/2 mile is far safer.
  13. Your car should know its own way there http://www.javelintrackdays.co.uk/trackday/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=6 30 seconds into the video is Woodbridge.
  14. Yeah true, Paul lists them at 104db, not sure if mine was a different one, Paul can confirm.
  15. One of Paul's 4" twin box systems would be good I'd have thought.
  16. Looking at google map, from scotland its an extra 57 miles than the pod, thats nothing for an epic event like this
  17. I tried that, my wife got fed up with stubble rash on her chin though.
  18. 105db at 3/4 max revs is pretty loud, my car measures 97db at 5500rpm. Not yet, I'm on it though.
  19. DB limits are at all tracks now, even santapod has a DB limit of 105db as of this year. Speaking with Javelin 105db is the max and its a static test, i passed it twice at woodbridge with my Supra running at the thunder road events.
  20. At the moment it is subject to dates and how much it costs, the guy at Javelin is working on it over xmas and will give me a full breakdown early in the new year
  21. Non return valve on top of the pumps is the normal? thats how mine was, dont remember anything else, try upping the pressure and see if any leaks appear?
  22. The thrill, nothing comes close to being pushed back in your seat in a high powered car, blowing away the odd supercar is an added bonus.
  23. Woodbridge is a big track, have a look at the link, top right corner would be used for the 1/2 mile stuff, track stuff never seems as popular as 2 lane racing, track events struggle to get even a few members interested in past years.
  24. GTR is £1400 all done by PW Pro, id imagine mine would be even cheaper as they would not have to do the front lip, spoiler, side skirts or rear valance.
