Thanks mate for the Tein Strut Brace and Gauge which arrived overnite:d Catch up soon many thanks Br Jonty
  2. Great to see all the info and comments - choices choices! The GT4088R I have ordered has both oil lube and water cooling. Oil acts as lubricant and water cools. Some people concerned about overheating water system. However according to Precision the water flows very quickly through the turbo housing and it not super heated etc. Will need to plumb in carefully to get optimal flow etc so it all works. Expecting near similar to Jamie performance as mine is built egine without manifold etc. Exhaust choice is my current challenge in getting the right one???? If my install delivers 75% of Jamie's results I'll be very happy. Be interesting to see how it all works together. Will keep you updated Br Jonty - I was condtioned to big turbo mentality - however for Superb Street use this set up is tops and delivers in spades. We will have 2 test ride cars available shortly.
  3. WOW /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_grin.gif My internal organs have been rearranged by this amazing small inspirational fun turbo. I would describe it as warp 10+ with amazing spool and mega torque - the power is on tap from almost turning the key:d . Jamie had T88 big single, so to convert him it had to be amazing. Last night I was blown away with the performance and it's good bye to my old T78 so Turbofit will hot swap em for me and Dan to tweak the map. If you are looking for something very special and devistatingly quick from off the mark, lots of fun to drive, street burner then this is one hot turbo. If you have had the pleasure of being a passenger with Jamie then it will redefine what the Supra is capable of I'm booked in for Drfit lessons at the earliest opportunity on a noise free track day. Think JP will be staring the next Fast and Furious - London docklands next film location. Big Turbo still cool - luv HKS T51 SPL however for another project car me thinks;) This turbo comes with a health warning very addictive - all other sports cars will be minced:p ! ta Jamie !
  4. Most tuning shops shut and close the door at 5-6pm - however Turbofit were determined to sort my fuel pump eletrical problem and Greg found it fast and got it all going so I could get back to Harrogate. We were all very tired after excellent Ace meet - however the determination to sort issues as best they can first class. [GRIN][/GRIN]Dan also was in trouble for being late as he was giving me an emergency mapping elastoplast to get me home:Pling: - thanks Dan - sorry I keep undoing all your excellent mapping by changing stuff! If you have not been to Turbofit yet ur missing something BIG - they see more Supra's a week than you've had hot dinners. What this means is a massive in depth knowledge, fast fault finding etc Dan is Golden touch Mapper so when your mechanicals are sorted it gets breathed on by Dan to make it fly - very gifted bloke armed with PC and cyber knowldge to liberate ur ECU-I'm back for project three shortly for the push towards 1000 Many thanks guys Jonty:d
  5. It's me Jonty T78 man Jonathan Streeton tele 07770 231523 - do give me a ring Paul - Nice vid at Ace
  6. Not harsh to use - however mine is suffering from clutch slip from brand new. We have fully ajusted the linkage arm under the plate and this still has not worked:( Very frustrating and the clutch has not been used in anger. In for less than 4000 miles. We are taking the clutch out this week to examine all the parts- full clutch system. OSG has great reputation. It could be that my clutch unit was not installed properley? Will know more this week. If replacing will go for RSP Carbon Carbon and refurb the OSG Jonty
  7. At 1.4 boost running 698 on T78 set-up. Some more dyno work and boost increase to come with race fuel map. Be great to have a go at the Porsche on the straight, although the Porsche would win hands down on the twisties with it's 4 wheel drive, sticking to the tarmac like glue:d my sound track better - like Supercharged spitfire - bring it on:d
  8. Wot a day[sHOCK][/sHOCK] Said hello to your Sup which was looking in deep development. Think your ICE install will be fab and the new switches look fantastic in the central glove box. Like the roof starter switch set-up. Once Mapped it will be the bollocks mate. Note sure if I'll be ready for the beauty parade at Ace? Catch you soon Dean Jonty:d
  9. On the way to TurboFit today for some new Tein Suspension when bang went the rear right tyre, strange handling and then into the hard shoulder. Now here is a challenge? - if you have big brake conversion, you can not fit a space saver on the front. Luckily it was the back and there not big kit Yet ? - I was able to put the 50 mph space saver on with RAC man in assistance (also a petrol head and biker -great bloke) Then I thought what about the gunge i carry in the boot for circumstance like this. It would have been useless as £240 tyre was history[sAD][/sAD]. Lesson - carry a spare wheel or end up on the back of a pick up truck if you have big brake kit fitted. RAC turned up in 25 mins - not bad for rush hour Friday morning. Defo worth that sub. Made it to TurboFit for a cuppa by lunch time - slowest trip to Milton K yet:rolleyes: Jonty I can feedback that space savers are life savers!! get one ! You should have seen the other drivers look at the profile of my tyres on the rear and think I was barking Looking more like 2CV rather than Big Single Sup!
  10. Can't wait to hear what it sounds like! Will be excellent! Are u ordering exhaust bung as well from Greg for track events etc..? Really looking forward to Ace meet Cheers Jonty - Yep i have spent some more! Whoops! Perhaps you should get Dan to map your AEM for Race Fuel also? - he has the technology:d
  11. Thanks for the reco Gamer - have also bought the controller. Dan will be mapping to race fuel and got that ordered too! Now I am broke and need to win some new clients! br Jonty
  12. I have expereinced the famous Turbofit loo too! Bit like the Dr's Tardis, although I didn't meet "Am I bothered" in there - It would appear the team are on something - race fuel fumes perhaps[GRIN][/GRIN] Greg's drag car doubles as my office. Best bit was trying to draw their attention to resuce me as I couldn't find the handle to get out and no one could see me through Greg's privacy glass windows (perhaps Greg is very famous VP drag man or something) Jonty
  13. That is the helicpoter I fly - however it isn't mine but my mates:d about 200K worth - new engine 100K! cant afford this yet aspirational goal....good mate! been flying about 7 years - great machine, been all over UK. As for my job I run a management development company. As for my Turbofit comments all I can say is that I have had mixed fortunes in tuning. Some have been very disappointing and costly. It's great to meet a bunch of folks who made a difference and delivered-I'm on extacy-try a Turbofit pill they are great:d Cheers - see you at Ace Br Jonty
  14. Fancy a trip in the Sup when the weather improves ? Here are a number of fab routes which you can have a look at. If you want to add some of your best to the thread please do. My Fav A832 Garve to Kyle of Lochalsh - Ullapool area - Isle of Skye. Enjoy your Sup:d (see web link below) http://www.speedlimit.org.uk/drivingroads.html Br Jonty
  15. Revenue from the Camera's £10 million per month/£120M per year Here's to NO points in 2007 and safe driving. However, if all goes wrong and you feel you want to challenge BIG Brother and have been wrongfully done here are some resouces you might find helpful in preparing your case. The Driver's Survival Handbook by Martin Thwaite tele 01709 361819 Speed Camera Tactics tele 01709 361819 Fit Road Angel or something else to keep you aware of speed and camera locations. In the event of court case and pending loss of license you need expert legal support and Barrister. The best in the land £10-£20K per case - however his success rate very high Nick Freeman tele 0161 236 7007 speak to Mr Howarth – you can outline your case to him on the phone and they will tell you your chances etc. Book some track days and drag days - run wot u b events to test all those mods and enjoy driving Note that some of our Supra membs are Cops too and passionate about driving - they also get caught by the same technology - it happens! Br Jonty
  16. BIG Thanks to Sam, Greg and the TurboFit Mechanics "A team" and Dan the Dynamic Mapper;) Just got back from collecting my T78 Sup from Turbofit and I just wanted to let everyone know what a great job they did on the installation of the AEM ECU, MOT, Trouble shooting on eratic boost as well as a few other things. I am delighted with the work done and customer service. Having had some recent very poor expensive expereinces my confidence has been restored by a business who does what it says on the can and delivers in spades As an example of their speedy fault finding Dan (Mapper) and Greg worked out really quickly together that based on the dyno sheet that the eratic boost was a) caused by waste gate chatter or b) Exhaust cam needing adjustment and map refinement to smooth boost curve. Answer was B not in 3 days and £2K of expensive fault finding - how about 10mins! They made all the required adjustments and Wow what a difference to the driveability of the car!!!! Recently at a Sup meet last week (Sherburn) I spoke to a number of folks feeling very dissapointed with service/tuning expereince/rip-off/ scams..I can really relate to this frustration been there got tee shirt - can honestly say light at the end of the tunnel - give Sam a ring and see what she can do for you "because you're worth it";) Turbofit & Dan between them have a depth of working knowldge and straight up expereince on the Sup which translates into expertise being transfered into your car. It's the difference that makes the difference. A refeshing change in shark invested waters - I've found tuning mecca! I would also like to thank Dan the mapper for the excellent job that he did mapping my car, having had a recent major engine rebuild she runs better then she has ever run since I have had her. Normally I would get 200 miles per tank of V-Power running 700 bhp - now nearly 300 miles after Dans Wizardry - bloody marvellous "Dan really knows his stuff and I am happy to say that I now have a tuner that I can trust and that I know will not rake me over the coals". Gamer AGREED 100% Dan thanks for the James Bond Switches in the glove box and arming switches for the race fuel and Nitros. Special effects caused a sensation in Leeds on the way home! Are you sure we achieved 215 Leptons on the dyno:eyebrows: Dean you will be dead impressed when you get your car back and have had all your goodies fitted:) Finally Sam, thanks for the excellent bling which I can't wait to show off at Ace - someone has to compete with Jamie. Greg for fixing the Alpine eletrical supply and the donation of bulb from your racing car. The supply of teas / coffees. The use of Gregs car as an office so I could make phone calls. Jamie P for his reco's and inspiration in keeping me going through periods of the DARK FORCE and Jason for the kind lift to Turbofit Cheers Jonty Looking forward to Stage 2 development - briefing on it way:d
  17. She is looking lovely - no carbon hood mate - keep her clean All the best Jonty:d
  18. I wonder if it will drive and perfom as well as their last? The Toyota engineers did a crackin job of the last one - will they give this one soul and rock and roll too? Great to see Supra still alive and kickin in Toyotas thinking - come on boys create a challenger for Nissan:d Pics of the new Skyline..due to land shortly ...do we like the Skyline better than the new Supra??
  19. Toyota Supra Son of Supra will be a hybrid! This silver machine is Toyota's all-new performance flagship, a hybrid-powered rival to coupés such as Nissan's new GT-R By Peter Lyon 02nd November 2006 With rear-wheel drive and a seven-speed sequential auto, the supercar should cover the 0-60mph sprint in less than five seconds and hit a top speed in excess of 170mph The Supra is back! Believe it or not this silver machine is Toyota's all-new performance flagship, a hybrid-powered rival to coupes such as Nissan's new GT-R. Replacing the firm's famous sports car - which disappeared from Toyota's line-up in 1996 - the new model will go on sale in 2008, and takes styling inspiration from luxury brand Lexus' forthcoming LF-A. But while that car will use a 500bhp 4.8-litre V10 when it arrives in 2009, Toyota's new model gets a tweaked version of the Lexus GS450h's 341bhp 3.5-litre V6 hybrid powertrain, giving it a unique combination of performance and economy. With rear-wheel drive and a seven-speed sequential auto, the supercar should cover the 0-60mph sprint in less than five seconds and hit a top speed in excess of 170mph, yet return 30mpg. The mach-ine has already been seen testing at the Nürburgring circuit in Germany. A concept is scheduled to appear at the Detroit Motor Show in January, while the production version is expected to be priced to match Nissan's new GT-R. 20. Did you get Greg to build you a bespoke exhaust too? Jonty
  21. Number plate mounting options - mine deadicated Supra plate mounted on spoiler just in front of intercooler. Air flow to intercooler fine 700 bhp here. The stick on not right for a concourse car mate! Well done! Jonty
  22. Now your famous - well done mate!
  23. 19" work well on this car Tein sus plus good rubber - the difference from 18's to 19" no real difference track or road. My only issue is I am having to raise the suspension slightly so my front spoiler clears the ground!!! Load's people don't like handling on 19's suppose, it personal choice - I luv em!
