I've been given a company car so don't use it very often now. My company car is a.......Fiat Punto! But as soon as its sold I think it's gonna have to be a TVR Tuscan!! Plan is it use the Punto for going to work and use the Tuscan on the weekends and when i've got time off.

Is it possible that i've been given a set of dials from an n/a? I guess that would explain why the rev counter worked first time and then didn't with the other.

I thought the fuse was for the whole gauge cluster not just the rev counter? Could be wrong though. How would I reset it? Thanks for the reply btw.

Hey guys, I've recently replaced the dials in my 96 auto tt import (pre-facelift). The rev counter doesn't seem to work though, an this is the third set of dials i have had?!! (Cheers Jezz! ) The first set I had, the speedo didn't work an the rev counter did, then the second and third sets, the speedo did work but the rev counter didn't! At first I just thought it was a problem with the dials but after putting in this last set and it having the same problem as the second set, i'm thinking it may be a problem with my car. What I don't understand though is how the rev counter on the first set worked perfectly and how on these other two it doesn't work at all???!! Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers Dave

Cheers Nic, but I don't think i could afford to go for a TRD one, think i'll just have to stick with an oem one for now. Ideally looking for a low mileage second hand one.

Hey guys, i've recently been getting a funny scraping noise from the near side of my car. I think it's the rear brakes. Not sure if the caliper is seized or if it's just worn discs/pads. Any way to tell what it is? The discs look ok to me, but i'm not really sure what i'm supposed to be looking for. It's a constant scraping noise as i'm driving along, that gets slighty quieter as i brake, then stops when i'm braking below about 10mph.. Are the j spec calipers prone to seizing? Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers Dave

AFAIK it's the standard bov. Won't disconnecting the bov damage the engine in some way?? Cheers
