  1. Nice work and sounds like a busy but productive couple of weeks ahead as well. Coming together and look forward to seeing more updates.
  2. All items bought were posted as promised today and tracking references sent to buyers. Hope they all like their purchases and do let me know if you are interested in any of the last bits I have to sell. Cheers all. Pete
  3. Any offers or interest in the last few bits? Still got the ecu, clock and AFR gauge to re-home. PM or post here if you are interested. Cheers folks. Pete
  4. Sold and paid. Original post updated. Sold and paid. Original post updated. Cheers both and I’ll be getting those bits posted out hopefully on Thursday. Will send you tracking details as discussed. Many thanks. Pete
  5. Afternoon All, Looking to re-home a few bits that are no longer needed since I went SYVECS on my car. Also got a good condition Tiptronic steering wheel complete with airbag. All prices are based on collection from Kent, but happy to arrange postage at buyers cost on top. Bank transfer preferred, but happy to do cash on collection or PayPal if you cover the fees. OEM VVT-i Tiptronic ECU - was in good working order prior to removal. Would like £250obo. HKS EVC 6 boost controller - will need to source/supply your own vacuum lines as the ones it had weren’t great. Main bits all here so screen, wiring, vacuum unit etc. I’d like £100obo. NOW SOLD/PAID. Series 1/Early type AEM AFR gauge - complete and hardly used as it was only fitted briefly before being removed to run the SYVECS. Has the different faces, bezel covers etc. I’d like £80obo. Prosport 52mm clock analogue gauge. Looks the part when fitted and has either a blue or white illumination. I’d like £40obo. See photo of dash illuminated and the clock is below the open door warning indicator beside the steering wheel I’m also selling. HKS SLD type 2 presumably for Supra facelift VVT-i tiptronic model as it was on my car. Would like £60obo. NOW SOLD/PAID. Last up is my good condition facelift tiptronic leather steering wheel complete with airbag. Wiring is complete as we used a Celica Gen 7 airbag plug to make the loom for my new flappy paddle Yaris wheel. Wires were stripped back by SRD to check connections, but can be easily taped and will work fine. I’d like £200obo. NOW SOLD/PAID. Happy to answer any questions either here or via PM. I’d say U.K. postage will be around £10-20 tops and obviously if you buy more items will be better value. Cheers folks. Pete
  6. Wow! Looking gorgeous buddy! Very nice and the paint against those Meister’s looks awesome!! Amazing job and a beautiful result.
  7. Pretty sure I’m 100% SYVECS, with the gearbox control and intake being done via the slave board in the SYVECS. Hence the surge shut down the slave which disabled the gearbox control etc. No, I’ve only bought the Hypertune for now as Lee had it and did me a good deal on it ready for the the next stage of my build. Won’t be going on till around March next year.
  8. Spot on. Bought a used Lexus LS400 series 2 diff that SRD will strip down, replace with OS Giken and one of their lovely small diff covers (work of art).
  9. Afternoon folks. So still waiting for news from Lee/SRD on what is causing the surge, hoping it’s nothing too serious or expensive. In other exciting news, Lee had this available for the next stage in my build which will see the throttle body swapped out for drive by wire (DBW), this gorgeous Hypertune intake fitted, updated fuel system, GTR coil pack conversion and hopefully single kit along with the 8-speed gearbox swap and uprated rear diff. Have to see how the budget goes, as I may leave the single conversion for now and just enjoy the car for a bit at BPU. Do love a Hypertune.
  10. So car is back with SRD. Lee took it out straight away to see what was happening and it looks like the slave board on the SYVECS is turning off because of something it doesn’t like drawing too much current. As a result, it shuts down the gearbox control and throttle body control. This in turn causes a throttle error and the ecu turns the car off for safety. Long and short, Lee and SRD now need to find out what is causing the surge/extra load on the car that triggers the slave to turn off. I’ll post an update when I hear more.
  11. Nice progress mate. What was the root cause of the drivers window not working? Spotted it took you 2hrs to diagnose. All coming together nicely though.
  12. Indeed. So I know the OEM tiptronic ECU has been removed (currently in a bag in the garage). Don’t think the gearbox ECU has been removed, so I believe the SYVECS is working in conjunction with that, but SRD would know for definite. I’ll ask Lee later when I see him and confirm.
  13. Lol, thanks mate. I did the first time it happened on the drive home from SRD on Friday, but was ready for it driving to the venue and home today. It’s certainly unnerving when it just cuts for no apparent reason, but I’ve got better at staying calm, selecting neutral, restarting the car and putting it back in drive. Think Lee is going to look at it for me so hopefully they can figure out why it’s doing it and make it better. Won’t be long hopefully till the 8-speed gearbox swap, so don’t really want to spend a lot fixing it. Guess we’ll see how they get on when they take another look at it this week.
  14. Hey Folks, So we made it to Reading for the end of season show with the GT Tuners Club this weekend. Car was looking good, but it’s not running properly with the SYVECS and the tiptronic (now paddle shift) gearbox. Basically keeps cutting out and stalling on me, especially when you first start it up and try to move from park to drive. Cut a few times on the motorway for no apparent reason as well, so it’s headed back to Lee/SRD tomorrow. Hoping it can be fixed, as it makes me nervous and ruins the enjoyment. Looking nice though.
  15. Stunning mate! Makes me want mine on the car. Hopefully not too long till I get the damaged front replacement. These look fabulous, whole car looks amazing!
  16. Hi Keron, Any pictures of the new stalk/clasp please? I got a replacement set from an eBay seller that weren’t cheap, but the feel and quality is really poor. Hoping these are a better option as I could do with replacing mine AGAIN! PM if you prefer mate. Cheers. Pete
  17. Congrats mate, engine looks superb and I’m sure my K-Sport’s will be up to the task of reeling in all that extra horsepower! Lol. If you can’t get the video to upload, PM me and you can send it over. Managed to upload video on mine a few times, so happy to help. Exciting times! Cheers. Pete
  18. Hey Folks, Small update, got a couple of photos of the Toucan from James at SRD. Not the best, as lighting was poor apparently, but you get the idea. Want to say a huge thank you to ‘Burna’ on here for getting me the new design mount sorted for the Toucan, looks bang on and keeps the dash clean and clutter free. Hoping the back order front U.K. caliper arrives this week, if so SRD will get those installed before I go and collect it ready for the drive to Reading on Saturday for the GT Tuners Club end of season event on Sunday. If all goes to plan I should be picking it up on Friday. Looking forward to my first drive in a very long time!
  19. Welcome back! Car looks lovely, I’d be inclined to stick with it as it is, just do the facelift headlights and front indicators as mentioned already. Only other thing would be twin turbo conversion, but that’s a lot of money! Don’t think you’d lose out doing it though (not many aerotop’s with widebody), but depends on your budget and goals really. Be nice with some carbon parts against the white paint, but again, that’s just my opinion. Let us know how you get on as it’s a great looking car regardless. Cheers. Pete
  20. Very nice! Must be happy with that mate. Great work.
  21. Bump. Coilovers now sold. Open to sensible offers on the boost controller and AEM AFR gauge. Boost controller was removed by SRD for another customer and bought by me to go BPU, but I’ve had to fit a SYVECS, so no longer needed. Comes with pipework and instruction manual as seen in the photo. AEM AFR gauge was new/never installed by the chap I bought it from. Again, got it for peace of mind when going BPU, but not needed as the SYVECS covers this for me. It’s been fitted on my car so I know it works. Both items are with SRD in West Sussex, so you can pick up from there, or see if Lee and the team can fit them for you. If not, should be collecting the car fairly soon and I can post out at extra cost once they are home.
  22. Thanks Krimi. I’m really happy with those numbers, especially when you think it wasn’t that long ago I was having rich running issues and the car was down on power. Hopefully in addition to the ISF gearbox conversion and beefed up rear differential that should be going in early 2022, may have the funds to get the single conversion fitted. Won’t be able to run it to its full potential, but that can follow when I get the engine built. Like most things, as long as it’s moving forwards (no matter the pace) I’m happy.
  23. Thanks for this Mark. Hoping to get some photos of mine at the GT Tuner Club season finale show on the 24th. Do love these and I’ll probably get two this year now the garage is done.
