  1. Stunning Krimi, really looks great. You should be immensely proud mate, done a cracking job and the car is a real credit to you. Very nice indeed.
  2. Stay strong mate, was near enough a year to get mine done and painted, but the end result was well worth the wait. Looks like good work and progress so far, does take time as I found out.
  3. Good to hear your back in good health mate, sounds like you also grabbed a bit of a bargain on that engine for the turbo swap, nicely done. I’d be looking at Precision for a turbo, just because I use Lee P / SRD and know they swear by them. Something like a 6266 gen 2 would be fine for your power goals I reckon. How are you finding the replacement drivers side seatbelt from Keron? I need to replace mine as the red ones I got from eBay are terrible! Thanks for the photos, coming along nicely mate. Cheers for now. Pete
  4. Welcome back! Sorry you got hurt (DIY’ing is clearly more dangerous than working on cars! Lol). Fiancee is a keeper for sure, that’s love right there and go you for entrusting her with something as crucial as changing the brakes, looks like she’s done a good job and hopefully you’ll be back up and running soon to carry things on. What other plans do you have for the build? Know you mentioned carbon skirts, but any performance changes planned like maybe a turbo kit? Can we see a better photo of the new wheels please, looks like they work well from what I can see in the photos. Keep up the good work and get well soon. Cheers, Pete
  5. Looks great Krimi, lots of good work going on here. Seeing your Works makes me want mine on the car so bad! Lol. Hopefully not much longer.
  6. Thanks mate. Been a long time coming and lots of graft, but pleased the car and garage are coming along now. Got her out yesterday for a quick fuel run before it goes into hibernation till next year. Lots more planned for both the car and garage in 2022, should be a good year indeed.
  7. Lol, I really doubt that mate. Hopefully not too much longer before we both get to see them where they belong.
  8. Hi mate. No, last I heard from Driftworks was the replacement front was due to be finished in December, then it’s a case of shipping to Driftworks, them checking it and presumably sending it out via DPD. Given I’m 99% sure it was DPD who damaged the first one, I’m just praying it gets to me ok this time. I doubt I’ll see it much before January or possibly even February at a guess mate. Be nice if it turned up sooner, but not holding my breath!
  9. Impressive work for just a year my friend. Great work and a nice list of goodies for sure. Have to ask what’s next, or are you planning to run it like this now for a while? Lovely build and hope you have many miles of happy motoring ahead. Cheers. Pete
  10. Thanks mate. Fortunately Elite offer a white glove fitting option for the Swisstrax flooring which I plan to use, will make the whole thing a lot easier and ensure it’s done just right. Also having a couple of their signature type tiles added with the Supra logo. Should look pretty cool when it’s all done.
  11. Elite modular flooring in a grey and black chequered finish. https://elitemodularflooring.co.uk Similar to this.
  12. Just a bit mate. The neon was from the States, I was hoping it was a bit bigger, but does look nice lit up especially with the main lights off. Garage is still a work in progress as the flooring and the rest of my pictures etc will go up hopefully in the new year.
  13. Evening All, So pleased to report car is safely home and hibernating now over the Winter months. Got to say a huge thanks to Lee and the team at SRD for sorting out the cutting out issue, James took it for a long test drive before I collected it the other day after Mike worked some magic on the SYVECS tune. Drive home was faultless, with not a single issue (other than the fuel light coming on which is easily fixed! Lol). The Bosch throttle body and tune changes seem to be holding for now, but looks like Mike will be busy installing one of his bespoke engine looms when it goes back for the next stage early next year. Eagle eyed amongst you may have spotted the replacement dash in the photo, that’s one of a few jobs I’m going to be tackling over the hibernation period. Got to say I’m just happy it’s home finally and looking forward to tinkering away in the new look garage. More updates to follow so stay tuned. Cheers. Pete
  14. I had mine done by Stu Hagen. Think they look superb personally, but each to their own. Genuine TRD seem to be going for mega money.

  16. Nothing boring here mate, the waiting game is just a part of life unfortunately. Something we all have to endure when it comes to building these beasties! Just think how nice it will be when you fire that engine for the first time and there is no smoke and that new exhaust rumbles into life.
  17. Hi Mark & welcome. Car looks great. Would also love to see some more photos if you don’t mind. How long have you owned this as I’m sure it was in one of the Jap car mags a while back (Japanese Performance or Banzai). Must turn some heads when you drive it. All the best, Pete
  18. Very nice! Just noticed the Volkswagen's in the background. Do you work at a VW dealership?

    New here.

Fair enough mate. Did someone say Hypertune? Lol. Got mine to go on in the new year along with the next stage of work, so completely understand where you’re coming from. I’ll be looking at Precision for my single turbo, but there are lots to choose from these days. Best of luck with it and do keep us posted on how you get on.
  20. Wow! That was fast. One minute it’s all together and looking great on a cruise, now engine has been pulled. What are you up to Krimi? Lol.
  21. Finding one brand new V161 is pretty rare, but finding two?! Amazed you managed to find them, but I guess if you’re willing to pay for the right bits, they are out there. Very nice.
  22. Lol, it’s fine mate. Be interesting to see how you get on and if you buy one. I’ll bet it doesn’t last long if you do! Lol.

    New here.

Welcome! Nice purchase, manual which lots of people will like and looks in good shape. I’d ditch the T88 for something more modern and duel bearing to improve response and reduce the lag, but nice start point for sure. Cheers. Pete
  24. Stock discs I believe with Porterfield R4S pads mate. Won’t have the stopping power the K-Sport’s did, but should be fine for a bit. Had to change them to clear the new wheels. Guess if I’d gone 19’s it would have cleared, but didn’t want to go bigger than 18’s.
  25. Thank you mate, much appreciated. So car is still with SRD, waiting on the back order front U.K. spec caliper. Lee and Mike think the cutout issue was due to the stock throttle body. They’ve fitted a Bosch throttle body to the stock manifold, and now running DBW so pedal and wiring all fitted. Initial tests have been good so hopefully that’s sorted it. More updates to follow.
