  1. Hi mate, No, it’s fairly straightforward according to the folks at Banbury Flocking. Airline most of the time (I got some compressed air canisters off Amazon) or a damp cloth. They have had a flocked dash in a car for years, still looks as fresh as when they fitted it.
  2. Hmm, good spot. I’ll have a look mate. Can swap it round if needed.
  3. Little update. Bracket fixed with the help of a vice and some gentle persuasion with a hammer! My gearshift surround also seems to be holding out with the tabs glued back in place. If anyone does spot or have a mint facelift/S2 gearshift surround then I’d still be interested. Just PM me. Cheers all. Pete
  4. Afternoon All, Was a massive challenge thanks largely to the extra wiring for the alarm/immobiliser, but it’s finally done. Everything looks good and all working which has to be a good thing. I’m really happy with how it looks but let me know what you guys think. Cheers all. Pete
  5. Hi mate, I believe the S2/facelift panel is a lighter grey colour, but otherwise think it’s the same. Let me know what you want for it mate as I’ll be checking mine this morning to see if the glue worked. Cheers. Pete
  6. This may help to show the bend better. It’s well out of alignment and you’ll see at the top where it bends over, should be flat and straight not buckled.
  7. Evening All, Long shot I know, but does anyone have this bracket lying around by any chance? Maybe you stripped a Supra before they shot up in value? It goes between the transmission tunnel and the bottom right corner of the glovebox. As you can see, mine is badly bent for some unknown reason (the other photo shows a good condition one with a bit of surface rust admittedly). If I can’t source one then I will have to try and get mine straightened, but don’t think that’s an easy task. I also managed to lose a couple of the tabs from my gearshift surround and whilst I’ve tried to glue them back on, doubt it will hold as the plastic is wafer thin and so flimsy! If you have a surround in good condition with all the tabs then let me know please folks. Good bank holiday all. Cheers. Pete
  8. So small update, seatbelts are all done apart from fitting the female stalks to the seats. Huge shout out and thanks to Ogreteam who did a great job with re-webbing the OEM units. Old dashboard finally came out over Easter, issue I had was despite following a good guide from the forum, the addition of my alarm/immobiliser and some other added electrical bits to the dash loom meant I couldn’t remove it with the loom attached. Handily the loom is fixed to the back of the dash with screws (don’t cut the cable tie fixings!). I’ve transferred over all the dash fixings (air vents etc), so just need to reinstall it when I can borrow a second pair of hands (hopefully this weekend). Then it’s just a case of patiently reconnecting all the wiring, bolts, passenger airbag, glovebox, stereo, centre console, dash trims etc. I’ll get some photos up once it’s all done and back together.
  9. Nice, that does look very clean for a U.K. car to be fair, good to preserve it at some point though. Doing a nice job mate, those refurbed Evo brakes look spot on.
  10. Very nice, looks like a good build. Be nice to see some more photos of the journey if you have any? What’s left to finish? Be fun to see what you had to start off with, how was the underside and rust? Not many U.K. cars that are clean underneath thanks to our lovely weather and salty roads.
  11. Nightmare Krimi, fingers crossed you can get it figured out mate. Keep us posted and good luck!
  12. Best of luck mate, won’t be attending sadly, but I’m sure the car will get lots of attention and admiring looks. Looks spot on.
  13. Afternoon All, So whilst I mentioned the next big stage of my build is on hold due to not having the finances I need, it hasn’t stopped me from making some progress. Tackling a couple of jobs myself to save costs over the coming weekend (booked Monday and Tuesday off work as well in case it takes longer than planned!). Biggest job is swapping out my broken dash with the flocked replacement, had this done by Nikki at Banbury Flocking Services near Silverstone. Have to say photo doesn’t do it justice but should look lovely when it’s in the car. Also excited to fit my re-webbed OEM seatbelts from Ogreteam. The mechanisms are the ones that were originally in the car but the webbing has been stripped out and replaced with the red webbing shown in the photo. Did have a set off eBay in red, but they are terrible and should be avoided. I’ll post some progress photos and the finished article when it’s done. Wish me luck!
  14. Fingers crossed Krimi, hate it when things don’t work as planned. Keep us posted.
  15. Hey Krimi, Glad to hear you got things sorted and it’s back in 100% working order my friend. Sadly these cars are no spring chickens, sounds like the issues were fairly minor which is always a plus. Hopefully many happy hassle free miles ahead mate.
  16. Thank you Dieter, pleased you like it. You are correct, this is the TwinZ rear diffuser. This was custom installed and painted by Matt at MH Bodywork, notice the lower section is black with the rest in the same colour as the car. Also added the mesh to finish it off.
  17. Now sold for £600. Admin feel free to close/remove. Cheers all. Pete
  18. Little bump. These finally came off the car today as my replacement wheel arrived. Will give them a good clean as still in great condition and not done any real mileage since I advertised them back in September last year. Will drop the price a little as tyres are older etc, say £600 collected or you can sort a courier from Kent. Let me know if you’re interested. Cheers. Pete
  19. Cheers Ric. I’m happy with 18’s mate, these are also as big as I could go without wide arch kit. Running 315/30 on the rear and 265/35 on the front. SRD can always tweak the suspension when it’s next in to reduce the gap a little.
  20. Hi All, Been a while, unfortunately money is tight so having to pause the build for a bit. I did however finally get the replacement front wheel from Works/Driftworks yesterday. Quick trip to get the tyre fitted and balanced and then installed all four. Hope you agree these look amazing and really work with the colour/styling.
  21. It’s a process mate, going to look bad for a bit, but just think how good it will be when it’s all done. Mine was the same at this point.
  22. Nice! Makes a huge difference doing the dash clocks and HVAC controls. Sent mine off to the States for Stu Hagen to do. So happy with the results. Here’s a before and after, bit of a difference! Lol.
  23. Looking good mate. Nice progress and hopefully not long till you get the new booth and can paint it.
  24. Be interesting to see Krimi. Keep us posted on how you get on with the replacements.
