Cheers Steve (cheeky sod!!! ). They are from a UK but only means you need the UK spec first de-cat pipe which Paul Whiffin can supply and send out with the turbo's if needed. You can find them on his website: http://www.whifbitz.co.uk Cheers, Pete

Price reduced to £350 as all you penny pinchers seem to be holding out for a bargain!!! They WILL not be reduced in price by any more than that as even with no guarantees that's a hell of a price for tubbies I know were working fine on my car and producing around 450HP with the supporting mods! Paul Whiffin will post these out for me for an extra £20 but cannot accept any responsibility for damage in transit etc as this would be as a favour to me. Prefer for the buyer to collect from the workshops in Enfield. Questions or PM's welcome but not asking for a lower price as I need the money but am NOT that desperate!! Cheers, Pete

This is now provisionally sold to GrahamC (1st in line and all that!). Sorry to those who were also interested. Cheers, Pete

Like you cars and more specifically big power jap cars were always on my wish list!! At 18 I was hell bent on getting something meaty but couldn't justify the insurance costs and the maintenance! Started with a kitted up Escort 1.3L which resembled an RS turbo and poured money into the sound system so it made mine and everyone in a 5 mile radius bleed from the ears!! Stupid in retrospect because given the opportuinity again I'd have got a good reliable stock jap RWD car and save the money for when I was old enough to go for a TT Supe. I'm 26 now and these are just a few of the cars i've had since I passed at 18! Ford Escort, Golf MK 1, BMW 318 auto, Nissan Sunny ZX Coupe, Nissan Silvia 1.8 Turbo, Jaguar XJ6 (too many episodes of Minder!! ), Peugeot 205 1.9 GTI, Ford Escort 1.6 Ghia, Toyota MR2 G-Ltd Auto, Nissan 300zx Twin Turbo UK spec, 2 x Nissan 300zx Twin Turbo J-Spec (one manual one auto), Porsche 944 ............................................... missed some I'm sure and now the UK Spec Supra TT Auto. If I had not bought the above due to boredom and money to play with and stuck it in a high interest savings account I'd be set for getting a great condition TT Supe with enough money for lots of nice mods as well! UK spec is a life saver on insurance and luckily I got my UK 300ZX at 19 and stomached nearly £2,000 a year insurance because when I phoned for the Supra cover, my broker had just started a scheme for 25-30yr old performance cars which he could drop the age on to include me as I'd had high power RWD cars in the past! Now insurance is £700 fully comp and that includes the soon to feature single turbo conversion Paul Whiffin is doing for me at the moment. I too played on the idea of getting one and doing it up in the garage over the years but the truth is these are drivers cars made to be driven and will suffer if kept off the road for any length of time! My personal advice is stick with the dream (I did and now at 26 can say if anyone ask me 'what is your dream car?' the one I own!! ) but go for something cheap enough to maintain and insure for the moment and build up your no-claims bonus (that's a MUST in my opinion!) whilst putting the money you can budget away for when your able to afford the insurance for a good TT (the n/a is a blinding car with less to go wrong most of the time but it really comes down to what your aims are for the future as there is a limited tuning potential with the n/a where as the sky is the limit on the TT!). Another good idea is to decide what spec you want and power levels and keep your eyes on the parts for sale section and the traders offers and start buying the equipment you want for the car so you get all the goodies ready for the big day and save some money along the way. You really need to drive both a TT and an NA in manual and auto forms with a hardtop and maybe an aerotop to see what you prefer. I was fortunate enough to borrow a few Supes from Tim at JIC back in the day and get a feel for what I wanted before checking the money situation out, finding I couldn't afford the car repayments and the insurance as well as maintaining it and had to accept I would have to wait Was a nasty pill to swallow but I remained determined that one day it would be a reality and sure enough it now is. Best of luck whichever way you go but think very long and hard over whether you want to be the one sitting home every weekend while your mates are out living it up because you have no money to play with because the car swallows every penny! Just my 2p on the very good subject for discussion. Pete

Still available!! These were running at 1.2bar quite happily and putting out around 450HP with the other BPU mods done. I will post these for an additional £20 via Whifbitz but the delivery and the turbos are NOT endorsed by Paul or Whifbitz in any way whatsoever. Paul checked the shafts for play and said they felt fine but in order to get his name to them they'd need to be stripped and fully inspected which would cost a fair bit and up the price so not worth doing IMHO. All I can say is they were running fine on my UK spec and pulling well with no power loss or boosting issues and that the shafts don't have any play in them. There are no guarantees but at this price there wouldn't be! (new hybrids are over £1,000 of anyones money from what i've been told). Any question or PM's let me know. Cheers, Pete

Hey Guys, as above. Was on Paul Whiffin's beast before I got it off him (see engine pic in the photos linked to my car on the Whifbitz website). Does have some signs of wear but these are quite pricey new so looking for £60+postage or can be collected from the Whifbitz workshops in Enfield as that's where the car is for the significant future!! Any questions or offers post up here or PM me. Cheers, Pete
-
Apparently mine is a one piece UK/US spec only jobbie and Paul is going to need to keep part of it so this is no longer worth selling. Thanks anyway guys. Pete

Hi Guys, Going the single route so no longer need my 1st decat pipe. Looking for £60 + delivery or can be collected from Whifbitz workshop in Enfield if your nearby. Will consider offers as well. Cheers, Pete

Christ! Why has this become sooooo painful to get any interest in?! It's a chance to meet up as a 100% Supe only event with cheap bbq grub, cold beer and a few t-shirts, prizes and a chance to speak to some fellow owners/enthusiasts yet it's like getting blood from a stone!!! The date seems ok unless I missed something obvious that EVERYONE is going to?!?!?? The concept is a tried and tested one that boosts club profile and awareness and a valuable charity gets a few quid towards new equipment etc! I've tried the rant before though and it fell on deaf ears so unless things change in the next week or so, will have to cancel this. Apologies to those who expressed some interest. Pete

Meet/BBQ - 27th August 2006, Wendens Ambo, Essex
Peter P replied to Peter P's topic in England - South East
BUMP!! Anyone even slightly interested???! Maybe in the idea at least?!?! I'm keeping this open for a week or two max to allow preparation time but if we haven't got a fair number then i'll have to pull the plug which is a real shame as I think this could be a good laugh and less competitive than the bigger shows etc to get fellow owners together for some grub and a few beers but maybe I'm wrong! Pete -
BUMP!! All PM's replied to. Any more info or questions either PM or call me please guys. Cheers, Pete Mobile: 07734 994867 If no answer (live in crappy reception area!) please leave me a message.

You'll see the car there then as she's sitting outside in the middle of an engine transplant as the bottom end started knocking on the old girl!!! Decided as Paul was swapping the engines over it was a good time to cash in on the labour side of things for fitting the single conversion. Based on a Garrett GT35R and will hopefully be around 550HP which is spot on for what I want given it's a road car/ daily driver. Glad the Aristo is going well, looks great m8!
-
Thanks for that Robert Shame you went single as I remember you asking about these if I was going to sell them for the Aristo! Think that's a fair price as a new set are £1,000+ and as you say these weren't on the car for more than 7,000miles and dont have any shaft play etc. Will see how the offers go but thanks for the backup! Pete

Hi Guys, I've got the car in with Paul Whiffin at the moment and in a moment of madness have gone for a single conversion (more details to follow but it's not a HUGE one like most of you! ). Basically, I no longer need my hybrids which I can't tell anyone much about as they were on the car when I got it from Robert who didn't know much about them either!! Not sure if B'have has any ideas either as this was his car before as well?! They are now off my car in a box at Paul's place where the buyer can collect if possible (postage would be a killer with something this heavy!). Didn't appear to be any play in them and as Robert will hopefully confirm these pulled really well. I'm looking for £400ono which is a fair price given I have to sell these as seen because it's too costly to pull them apart for checking things but were nice and quick with good spool up etc. Any questions or offers please PM me. Should add, these must sell as I need some money to pay Paul for my single conversion so sensible offers considered. Cheers, Pete

Hi Guys, As requested this is the new thread for the meet/bbq I am trying to organise in aid of Medics at The Fighting Cocks Public House, Wendens Ambo, Essex. The pub is easily reached from the A11,A14,M25 or M11 and no doubt other routes would be possible. There is also a thread under the East section but speaking to some of the guys who helped me out with the very sucsessfull School Fun Day I did in Kent for my brother, reckoned I needed a thread under this section as well. The aim is to get as many Supe's together as possible for a kind of mini supe only Bolney affair that can be done every year if peeps enjoy it! The car park and bottom lawn at the pub will allow us to get at least 50 cars in so space isn't a problem!! The following names are from the last thread so please tag yourself on the end with any preferences you have. Steve Chalmers from J-Tuner also hopes to attend so we may get some good publicity for the club as well as raising money for a good cause. The entry is £10 per person but includes the first burger etc and there will be promotional t-shirts on the day, a raffle, award ceremony for various classes i.e cleanest engine bay etc plus any other suggestions you may have. Any queries please post them up or PM me directly. 1. Peter P - Both days are fine 2. EncoreWRC, missus an kids 27th august 3. Supragold - Both days are fine 4. markymark+ bird both days should be fine get the ribs on 5. lee s both fine for me 6. Yewtave - Lazy Bones 7. MrRalphMan - Either day - Prob Just me - Eat anything but sweetcorn 8. MR.B - Either day - Burgers all the way - plenty of sweetcorn for Ralph 9. Paul Whiffin, either 10. Dazza, either 11. SteveL - 20th ( not defo on 27th yet...) 12. Andy Supra + 1 (both days are fine) If the date is no good then let me know. I really want this to be a big event with maximum turnout for the club and the charity so we will be as flexible as possible on dates. Thanks in advance and here's hoping for a nice day and a good turnout!! All the best, Pete
-
No worries Mr.B If we go with the 27th August as a fixed date then? Think that works for everyone and is also the bank holiday weekend so miay be able to get the camping extended to cover the Sunday night as well allowing peeps to have a few pints and then sleep it off before heading home Monday morning!! I'm going to copy this thread over to the South-East event section as I'm hoping this will generate a bit more interest and boost the numbers as it's only an hour (hour and a half) from Kent and is quite a straightforward route. Will see what the response is like and i'll keep everyone posted as things develope! Cheers, Pete

Free Bump!! Will be interested to find out what you can get as i'm looking at gutting mine and replacing the carpet with grey or black and fitting some Recaro's at some point and selling my UK spec interior. Is this why yours is for sale?? Best of luck with the sale. Pete

Sent you another PM Joe Cheers, Pete

Just looking at the tubo side so not fueling etc, what items are still needed to perform the conversion, and what in your opinion will need attention/replacing?? Did you suggest that with the correct fuelling upgrades and presumably a strengthened bottom end this tubbie should generate around 800BHP?? I am very keen and will remain so but the sale of my Skyline as I mentioned is the determining factor for me! If it sells in the next week or so I'll be PM'ing you straight away!!!! If this were to be fitted to a stock engine (internals wise, fuelling etc upgraded to necessary levels), what would be the safe boost level to run and approx what BHP would be expected?? Cheers, Pete
