Morning Brad. Exciting news indeed. I’ll be following this closely as plan to go the Dart build route myself hopefully early next year. Looking forward to seeing how it goes and what you achieve with it mate. Glad you managed to sell your old engine and best of luck with the new one SRD will no doubt build to perfection.
-
Good luck with the sale. If anyone needs a VVTI manual harness PM me as I have one spare after getting SRD to make me a bespoke engine loom.

Great start Richard. Liked and subscribed mate. Look forward to seeing the updates as you transform this into something special. Clearly going to be a detailed tribute/replica so looking forward to seeing how you get on. I’m sure you can sell any of the bits you’re not going to use by the way, good luck and keep up the great work.

So had my first show/outing in the car yesterday. Thankfully it was dry if a bit too sunny (got burnt! lol). Did mean I could use the full send and get the traction control off wet. Have to say car drove perfectly, good power delivery and the car pulls like a train. Couple of photos from the day. -

Hi mate. No, not managed to get it out as yet, but hoping the weather is good for this Sunday as I have the GT Tuners open season event to attend at North Weald. Fingers crossed it stays dry so I can try it on the full 1.6 bar with minimal traction control required. Coming home from SRD I was on 1 bar boost and wet setting for traction control which was safe and still fun when I did floor it. -

Morning All, So after an early start (up at 5:30am) I managed to get the car cleaned, ceramic wash and wax and a nice coat of ceramic wax as well. Pleased with how it came out. Also added some extra storage and racking in the garage which I’m pleased with. Just need to sort all the parts that came home I don’t need anymore and try to sell them. As you can see, lots of boxes I could do with shifting! -

Hey Guys, So I collected the car from SRD yesterday. Shame the weather was so pants, had to take it easy obviously but still had a couple of gentle pulls and it felt great! Hats off to Lee, Ash, Mike and the rest of the team, love what they’ve done with the car and can’t wait for a bit of dry weather to really see what it’s like with the new setup. Needs a good clean after the drive home so fingers crossed it’s dry in the morning. I’ll grab some photos if I can get it cleaned up. -
Said it before, but it’s all the little subtle details that make the difference mate. Nice find and purchase.

Mike finished up on the dyno today. Pops and bangs with a good dose of flames, launch and traction control all setup as well more importantly. Getting closer to getting it back. Road test tomorrow. 4c2cb8d1-5bde-4454-9a5b-6e130cd69460.mp4 -

Couple of dyno run videos from Mike at SRD. He’s doing a great job mapping this and it sounds epic! Can’t wait to drive it. -

So numbers are in. Keeping it safe given we are still on stock engine and cams. Lee has confirmed this was at 1.6 bar and pointed out it’s an awesome power band and should feel epic. Exciting times and hopefully I’ll be able to pick it up soon. -

Didn’t need much twisting or convincing mate. As you said, Dart Iron Eagle block seems like a great price, I’m not likely to go over 1,000hp, but having a block rated for twice that just gives peace of mind. -

Indeed. Not as responsive as it should be after we do the engine build mind. Once it has the Dart block, 3.4 Titan stroker and head/cams from SRD to match, should be building boost like OEM which will be quite something I reckon. -

I’m happy with that turbo mate. It’s the one Mike at SRD bought and then decided he wanted a bigger one! It’s brand new so should last me for now. -

Thanks mate. I’ve used it for the half cage inside as well as the intercooler pipes, core and front strut brace. Adds a nice touch I think. In other news……… it’s ALIVE! 39fce9b5-6d97-4c99-a8d0-00a61f79685e.mov -
Got you. I’m looking at Dart block, Titan 3.4 stroker etc as next step. Turbo is a Garrett G40-1150 so shouldn’t need changing anytime soon. Good luck with the sale mate.
-
Nice. Sounds like it’s coming together nicely with all the right parts to make a proper quality tribute car. Look forward to seeing the progress on this. Any idea when you think it might be done or at least rolling as I appreciate there will be lots of little touches. Guessing it won’t be at any shows this year, but look forward to seeing it at some point. Keep up the good work guys.
-
Exciting! Whats the new plan mate? You going Dart block as well? Whatever it is hopefully you can get the turbo sold and crack on with your build. Best of luck and look forward to seeing updates.

Evening All. So making steady progress on the single swap. New intercooler pipework is back from Inspraytion and is looking good installed on the car. Hopefully full speed ahead now so it can get on the dyno soon. Will keep you posted when I hear more from Lee P and the team. -

Hi mate. Absolutely can’t wait. Won’t be going to crazy power wise as still on stock engine and stock cams. 700 would be nice, but will have to see how it goes next week when it’s hopefully going on the dyno. Mike’s beautiful engine loom is all fitted now so just need the intercooler pipework back from Inspraytion so the guys can finish up and hit the rollers. I’ll keep you posted.
