  1. Thank you mate. You’re not wrong, although even when it’s finished at M H Bodywork, it still has to go see Lee P and the boys at SRD, so won’t be getting much time with it till after that. I know it’s going to be well worth the wait, but that first drive when it’s all done will be so good! Just have to hope the weather is still nice by then! Lol. Checked with Driftworks and they have said my new wheels should be arriving in the U.K. around the 11th August, so hopefully have those here and wrapped in the new tyres and on the car by mid-August. Think Harry Moore is aiming to have my re-worked headlights back to me around that time as well, so should all come together nicely. Just a question of whether that leaves enough time for Lee P and the guys at SRD to do their bits including the MOT before the Go Japan show at Brands Hatch I was hoping to attend on Sunday 26th September. Fingers crossed as know they are mega busy at the moment.
  2. That’s cool Steve. As I said, this car and plate being reunited is a first for me. Occasionally owners are fortunate enough to get their cars back, but not often. Sadly a lot of good examples went abroad and a few probably ended up being broken for parts. Nice to read about one that’s gone full circle and is hopefully now settled to stay in your care.

Welcome David. Hope you can share some photos and tell us a bit more about what you have planned for the car. Best of luck with it. Cheers. Pete

Welcome! Looks nice and nice stable mates looking at the last photo. Let us know your plans for it, these do look good in white. All the best, Pete
  5. Odds for this thread are unbelievable! Selling the car and getting it back again (not many can make that claim), then finding the previous owner of the private plate and both cars being red. Spooky!
  6. Sounds good. I recall you were running a full cage as well? Any plans to run carbon doors as well, or is that a step too far! lol.
  7. Looks like a good fit from what I can tell, pleased with it? Curious to know what the weight saving is over OEM. Presume your going to leave it carbon? Should look good once you’ve transferred the third brake light and rubbers over. Are you running glass or plexi?
  8. Hi mate, It’s really up to you on whether you mesh the front bumper, I haven’t on mine as it would have been a real pain what with the flip number plate, but Matt has meshed my side skirts and also the hole in the TwinZ rear diffuser. We used eBay mesh and it works just fine. The main thing is getting it bonded properly so it holds and doesn’t come out.
  9. Just read through all 16 pages of this from start to finish, stunned I missed this thread for so long, but really enjoyed reading it all at once. Its certainly been a bit of a rollercoaster from what I’ve read, but you’ve overcome all that’s been thrown at you and the car has kept getting better and better as a result. Can’t believe you were allowed to have the new engine in your living room! She’s 100% a keeper mate, don’t think many would tolerate that! Lol. Is it still there and if so, has the new wooden floor coped ok? Huge congrats for sticking with it and documenting all the up’s and down’s along the way, seems like more up’s than down’s and you’re appreciation for doing things right is very clear from the choices you’ve made and the lessons you’ve learnt. Glad the mod’s have moved you over to the build thread section, you certainly deserve it. Hopefully see you at some shows once mines finished and yours is done as well buddy. Thanks for giving me something inspiring and cool to read in the garden on this lovely sunny Sunday morning! Cheers. Pete
  10. Hey Folks, Small update from Matt today, he’s got the windscreen wiper arms painted and reinstalled, plus the fiddly job of getting the windscreen washer jets and associated plumbing fitted to the vented carbon bonnet. Think that only really leaves modifying and reinstalling the front wheel arch liners, and then a final polish. After that it’s a waiting game for the new wheels and the reworked headlights from Harry Moore. So close to being ready for the trip to Lee P/SRD for the next phase of mechanical work. Can’t wait!
  11. Afternoon All, Pretty much all parts are now sold and I’ve received payment/posted everything out to the buyers. I have tried numerous PM’s and posts here to contact flacopower, but it’s been over a week with no response. As a result I still have the titanium bonnet stay, the brand new Toyota OEM lower bumper retainer and the brand new Whifbitz carbon exhaust shroud available. Prices as previous, but will also consider sensible offers if you want to PM me. Photos are on my earlier posts if needed as well. Thanks all. Pete
  12. Afternoon Folks, So the new OEM windscreen scuttle panel arrived today (thanks Paul and team at Whifbitz). Popped it over to Matt and we ended up installing it along with the new rubber seal. Also fitted the bonnet and the new carbon bonnet lifters. Matt was busy sorting out the meshing for the side skirt ducts when I arrived, so those are now looking rather tasty as well. With the bonnet fitted, there are no more large bits to do, just fiddly stuff. Won’t be long till we are stuck waiting on the new wheels and the re-worked headlights from my good buddy Harry Moore to finish it off. Hope you like the photos, looks amazing in person. The fit and finish on the bonnet for an aftermarket carbon part is insane!! Matt did such a great job.
  13. Thank you mate, glad you like it. Hoping the new OEM windscreen scuttle panel turns up this coming week, be great to get the bonnet back on.
  14. Very clean and tidy mate. Looks lovely!
  15. PM’d you mate. Waiting to hear back when you have a chance please mate. Provisionally both items are yours pending payment. Cheers. Pete
  16. So pending payments that’s everything sold except the titanium bonnet stay. If anyone wants a nice bit of engine bay bling please get in touch. Thanks to all for your custom and hope you enjoy the parts. Cheers. Pete
  17. Morning mate. Yes, the drip seal trims are still available at the moment. Looking for £40 plus postage mate. Given they are quite long/awkward shape I reckon £20 should cover postage to a mainland U.K. address, so would be £60 in total. Preference would be bank transfer please fella. Let me know if you want them and we can sort it from there. Cheers. Pete
  18. Know all about this mate, had the same things with mine. Funny how for me it was the right rear quarter area that was poorly repaired, and yours is on the left side. We had a pair of bad ones between us I guess. Looks like your getting it all sorted and the work now will be so worth it when it’s painted, at least it was for me. Keep the updates coming.
  19. 100% mate. I’m all over one of your shifter kits when funds allow. I’ll probably be running the new ISF 8-speed gearbox and SYVECS by then, so should be a nice final touch before we tackle engine build and single conversion. Do love the ‘Supra-Shifter’ kit, will work really well with my build mate. Can’t wait.
  20. Hey Guys, Small update as still waiting on the new OEM windscreen scuttle to arrive so we can get the bonnet fitted. After that it’s small finishing touches and then the waiting game for my new wheels and the re-worked headlights from Harry Moore. We added a new boot badge in gloss black, also painted the windscreen washer jets and Matt has done a splendid job tinting the third brake light to match in with the rear lights. Love how it’s come together.
