  1. Working on it mate, will let you know when I’m back on the road and ready to go.
  2. May explain why we are all drawing a blank! lol. Mine was only put back together recently from the respray and I don’t recall seeing anything like that. Love the new wheels, hurry up and get those bad boys fitted so I can see some photos.
  3. I’ll take the engine bay covers mate. PM me to sort price etc.
  4. Glad yours fitted mate, still waiting to hear back from Whifbitz on mine. Had to send them measurements and clearly mine isn’t right. Given these aren’t cheap, would like some sort of help getting it replaced.
  5. Hi Greg, Sorry if I missed it, but how much do you want for the kit? Didn’t see a price unless I’m being thick?
  6. Going back to page 1 it was supraturbochris, but not sure if he’s still around? Know the Bailey’s have done a fair few of these meets in the recent past, but when you look at this thread it went quiet around the time of the pandemic.
  7. Sadly mine won’t be ready for this meet, but 100% up for future meets when I get it back. Hoping late August/September I will have it back.
  8. No worries mate, seems likely I may miss out this year as well I reckon. Hoping car is back together and ready to use by September, but not a lot of shows or events happening around then sadly. No idea if the Bluewater meets are ever going to happen again, seems like this thread has been quiet for ages.
  9. Nice! I went 3 piece S1 with copper barrel, grey centre and black hardware mate. Should look the business!
  10. Looking good mate. Remind me which wheels you went for? I’m still waiting on my Work’s, should be mid-August hopefully! Exciting times when you’re getting ready for paint.
  11. Afternoon Folks, Just wondering if we had any plans to start doing these meets again anytime soon? My car isn’t likely to be back on the road till late August, but be good to see some folks and start doing some meets when it’s ready. Hoping I can also do Go Japan at Brands Hatch in September if anyone’s interested in attending? Maybe we could convoy down together. Cheers. Pete
  12. Cool video as well. Where about’s was this meet and will there be others there this year?
  13. Hey, thanks for sharing. Now subscribed and looking forward to seeing updates as you get more done. Nice start and some lovely cars in the shop (love the old Datsun especially).
  14. Looks like fun mate, hoping I can get mine finished soon so I can do some meets. Nice collection and you had a good day for it weather wise. Nice to see things like this happening again. Look forward to the updates after the weekend.
  15. Thank you mate. You’re not wrong, although even when it’s finished at M H Bodywork, it still has to go see Lee P and the boys at SRD, so won’t be getting much time with it till after that. I know it’s going to be well worth the wait, but that first drive when it’s all done will be so good! Just have to hope the weather is still nice by then! Lol. Checked with Driftworks and they have said my new wheels should be arriving in the U.K. around the 11th August, so hopefully have those here and wrapped in the new tyres and on the car by mid-August. Think Harry Moore is aiming to have my re-worked headlights back to me around that time as well, so should all come together nicely. Just a question of whether that leaves enough time for Lee P and the guys at SRD to do their bits including the MOT before the Go Japan show at Brands Hatch I was hoping to attend on Sunday 26th September. Fingers crossed as know they are mega busy at the moment.
  16. That’s cool Steve. As I said, this car and plate being reunited is a first for me. Occasionally owners are fortunate enough to get their cars back, but not often. Sadly a lot of good examples went abroad and a few probably ended up being broken for parts. Nice to read about one that’s gone full circle and is hopefully now settled to stay in your care.

    Newbie

Welcome David. Hope you can share some photos and tell us a bit more about what you have planned for the car. Best of luck with it. Cheers. Pete

    Noob

Welcome! Looks nice and nice stable mates looking at the last photo. Let us know your plans for it, these do look good in white. All the best, Pete
  19. Odds for this thread are unbelievable! Selling the car and getting it back again (not many can make that claim), then finding the previous owner of the private plate and both cars being red. Spooky!
  20. Sounds good. I recall you were running a full cage as well? Any plans to run carbon doors as well, or is that a step too far! lol.
  21. Looks like a good fit from what I can tell, pleased with it? Curious to know what the weight saving is over OEM. Presume your going to leave it carbon? Should look good once you’ve transferred the third brake light and rubbers over. Are you running glass or plexi?
  22. Hi mate, It’s really up to you on whether you mesh the front bumper, I haven’t on mine as it would have been a real pain what with the flip number plate, but Matt has meshed my side skirts and also the hole in the TwinZ rear diffuser. We used eBay mesh and it works just fine. The main thing is getting it bonded properly so it holds and doesn’t come out.
  23. Just read through all 16 pages of this from start to finish, stunned I missed this thread for so long, but really enjoyed reading it all at once. Its certainly been a bit of a rollercoaster from what I’ve read, but you’ve overcome all that’s been thrown at you and the car has kept getting better and better as a result. Can’t believe you were allowed to have the new engine in your living room! She’s 100% a keeper mate, don’t think many would tolerate that! Lol. Is it still there and if so, has the new wooden floor coped ok? Huge congrats for sticking with it and documenting all the up’s and down’s along the way, seems like more up’s than down’s and you’re appreciation for doing things right is very clear from the choices you’ve made and the lessons you’ve learnt. Glad the mod’s have moved you over to the build thread section, you certainly deserve it. Hopefully see you at some shows once mines finished and yours is done as well buddy. Thanks for giving me something inspiring and cool to read in the garden on this lovely sunny Sunday morning! Cheers. Pete
  24. Hey Folks, Small update from Matt today, he’s got the windscreen wiper arms painted and reinstalled, plus the fiddly job of getting the windscreen washer jets and associated plumbing fitted to the vented carbon bonnet. Think that only really leaves modifying and reinstalling the front wheel arch liners, and then a final polish. After that it’s a waiting game for the new wheels and the reworked headlights from Harry Moore. So close to being ready for the trip to Lee P/SRD for the next phase of mechanical work. Can’t wait!
