do fault code check 1st mate before you go replasing parts that someone else has looked at

nope, twice thay said thay found the problem and twice thay hadnt,also had nothing to do with the clutch as we tryed another gear box to rule out all other possiabiltys, his car drives fine but has the same noise as you decribe and also is speed variant

this sounds exactly that same problem as a friend of mine has with his 6 speed. his box has been stripd buy a company twice and that couldnt find the problem...

no it makes sence to sell ya n/a and buy a TT but say you had a mint n/a and if you sold it and put 2k towards it you may only get a ropey TT. so in some peoples eyes the TT conversion is better
