  3. There are no separate numbers on the tools only the kit... I will get a number anyway and check the price
  4. its basically what people do now but better..... -there's a airline/regulator that you fit into the spark plug hole to keep the cylinder full of air and the valves up ( most people use the rope trick) -and two special tools used to remove the valve collets ( snap-on make a tool to do the same, again used alot on the forum just the ones lexus made are easier and faster to use)
  5. MOT laws have now changed check http://www.direct.gov.uk for more info
  6. long shot.... when i brought my 2nd TT it had a belt squeek which i found out to be the power steering pump pulley. the nut had worked loose and the pulley started drifting off the pump splines causing the belt to not sit straight and become noisy
  7. few of my friends have them locked up in storage... love the old fords
  8. took me quite a while on my 1st TT BUT i have a trick up my sleeve now lexus had a recall last year on valve springs on some of there models and have made a proper kit to change them in situation so i will be using that

  12. well sort of today i fitted a new OEM clutch, rear main oil seal and some soild gear change bushes also a megan racing double decat (had to modify it though ) next plans are -BPU+ -cambelt kit inc valve stem oil seals/camseals/camgaskets -new shocks and springs -uprated bushes for ALL suspension components inc a geo -refurbish the brakes all round -clean and underseal car think thats it for the power train side of things for now but interior is next then the body work starts ( can this be made into a project thread?) this is how TDI left the connectors after doing the plugs last
  13. for the sake ofanother £10 id replace the outer 2 rubber hoses as well
  14. welcome!! i think alot of people want late TT 6's but there still best part of 10k :-( regarding your issue do a search and carry out a diag but i would be its a faulty speed converter
  15. MOT laws are changing so that exhaust parts that are there from standard have to be on at time of test other wise will fail...... so if your car passes emissions it will fail as the DPF is not there
