I was thinking of a grease but then thought about road crap sticking to it! But what josh is saying makes sense! I may grease them and get some motorbike rear shock socks and fit them over the threaded part.. Thanks guys

he wouldnt do one after lol we cable tied the bent valves to the racking next to his ramp as a reminder

it may also be that the vvti has bigger intake valves? all i no is a tech i worked with done a camebelt and tensioner on one...while putting the tensioner on let the washer on the back fall off.. started the car which caused the belt to slip and bent ALL the intake valves
