well, right now im hitting 1.2 bar daily. i do plan to change to 550's so can i achieve more boost than 1.2 bar ? i've got the whole exhaust manifold as well and a new TRD down pipe and resistor box. tks mates!

hey mates! was wondering what other things involved if you switch to USDM turbos ? i know you have to change injectors to 550's and change resistor box. tks for any help.

i just installed this unit on my aristo tt and boy, you can really feel the difference of the response of the car. hks has been producing great products and it has been proven as well. great item to have even with bpu ....

i just changed my ebc to manual controller and it works like a charm! no problem here! i can hit 1.2 bar if i want to but with restrictor ring, i hit 1.0 consistently. -
sup guys, i just want to share my experience with the manual boost controller i have. i just recently took out my greddy profec b and installed a manual (ball and spring) boost controller. i hooked it up between the actuator and the turbo and capped some of the hoses off. right now, i can hit 1.2 bar if i like but i am boosting 1.0 consistently. no more boost creep and i am very happy with the results.

sup mates! it's been a while since i posted here. well, after a long experiment, i decided to uninstall the greddy profec b. it just didn't work right on my set up. although it worked ok but the only problem i had was the 'boost creep'. no matter how much tuning i did, i wasnt' really satisfied. just to refresh your memory, i'm running the jspec on my toyota soarer with restrictor ring and bpu. now, to reveal the good news, i decided to use a manual boost controller made by Haman. most u.s. supra guys use them and i've heard lots of positive feedbacks. i purchased one, installed it, and it worked like a charm! guys, i can hit 1.2 bar with ease! even though i only plan to boost not more than 1.o bar, this boost controller did the trick. no boost creep and held boost very nicely! the car responds better and the power is absolutely amasing. i would definitely suggest to some guys here to try it and see how it works with their set up. i regret purchasing the greddy profec b now.....honestly. it would have saved me $$$ if i did this mod long time ago.

tks guys...it's just weird because after my jspec swap, my car ran fine with no problems and even with full bpu. i didnt experience any black smoke at all. he's not even using any boost controller. he's running fmic, walbro pump, and colder plugs.

that could be it since he hooked up the safc... but his settings are set to "0"...maybe he needs to take it off?

hey guys, a friend of mine just finished swapping jspec on his soarer but he's having problems. puff of smoke comes out when taking off from standing stop, not gunning it or anything. black smoke comes out by the way. no hesitation or anything like that. just worried about this black smoke that keeps coming out everytime he takes off. what can we check? he's running both decatt, no ring, no fcd for now. tks mates.........

yes, i put jspec on my soarer....but used stock 5psd tranny with upgrade clutch kit. hey, how do i posts pics in here? i tried a few time but no luck... where do i go? i've been wanting to show you guys my set up....

yeah, i just wanted to know the estimate with my set up... chris w. gave me restrictor ring of 1.bar i believe but with my greddy bc, i can boost 1.1 bar anytime, anyday....! i recently installed the blitz power meter ID and i dialed 329bhp with speed of 65mph and barely hit third gear and stopped. i was doing the test run around my house....hehhee...not on highway but i will try it soon. the car is running great as far as i know.

hey guys, need your advise here. my friend is putting jdm tt aristo motor on his soarer with auto tranny. will his car hit fuel cut while having both decats, fmic, and with 2.5inch piping all the way back? no restrictor ring though. tks for any advise....

i am running the stock 5spd tranny from my soarer but with updated clutch kit. so, 1.2bar is about 430? wow....

wow! many replies...tks mates... yeah, before i was having problems tuning the greddy bcc because i didnt think i needed the restrictor ring on my soarer. but then once i installed the ring right after the downpipe, it made a big difference controlling the boost. i would set up low boost at around 13psi and high boost at 16 (1.2 bar) and with gain at 20%. greddy bcc is pretty tricky. if you set your gain too high, you will get boost spikes but if you set it too low, boost will drop at high rpm's. i am still thinking of switching to blitz boost controller but i am happy how the car runs right now. how often should i change my plugs? any suggestions? oh yeah, when im cruising on highway at 75mph, my egt's read between 600-700 deg f. i guess that is normal as well.

i had asked CW to send me one of his restrictor ring here in the usa because i was having difficulties tuning up my soarer with greddy bcc. i installed the ring and gained back a little bit of back pressure in the exhaust system. after a day or two, i re-installed my greddy boost controller and fcd, and wow!!!! i am hitting 1.2 bar all day long!! i can tune my greddy bc to what ever boost i set with no problem! as you all know, soarer comes with dual exhaust, not like the supra. i am running both decats and 2.5inch piping all the way back. i put the restrictor ring where the downpipe mates with the rest of the piping; maybe about 4-5 feet from the turbo. my settings on the greddy bc were 1.00bar at low boost and 1.12 at high boost. the gain for both low high boost was set to 25%. if i set the gain to high, i will get boost creep. i am not hitting fuel cut anymore . the car accelarate so much quicker now off the line and the greddy bc holds the boost quite good!!!

im using the same one and have no problem with it.

i am using the same fcd and yes, you can use it. the thing is that fcd is set for mr2, not for supra so you will have to open it up and you will see like a small adjusting screw that you need to turn or have it sit at 3 oclock postion. there is another way of doing this, go to mkiv.com under greddy bcc and they will tell you to use a volt meter to measure the constant volts that puts out while making that adjustment. i have not adjusted mine cuz i just installed a restrictor ring but my greddy boost controller is not hooked up yet.
