Gaitor comes with the handle. Cheers for the compliments fella's:thumbs: Need to get some bling in the engine now:d

Yeah brake cover is pretty simple. - Take the ashtray out - Remove gear stick handle and pop centre console off - One screw to remove near the middle of the left side of the handbrake - Then gentle pop the rubber surround out of its four clips(just like the dash ones) - Take off old gaitor, then you need to cut the material away from the top of the handbrake as the new one will not fit directly over it. The first layer is a material piece, but the there is rubber underneith. Once you have the first layer off it may well fit straight on, but I had to cut a small strip of the rubber off with a stanley knife. - Slide the new gaitor on first followed by the handle(remembering to put the button in the new handle. - Get it in postion so that the new button is just resting on the old one and use the four grub screws to secure.(Try the handbrake a few times to check you have it right) - Use the black band to secure the top of the new gaitor to the handle. - Thread the new gaitor through the surround so thats its nice and straight and pop the surround back on, followed by the the console etc. One new handbrake - 15 mins to fit:thumbs:

Just thought I would post up some pics of the Isotta stuff I got from Paul at Miami GT. Its really nice to drive with and feels like good quality stuff. Also its simple to install. The chrome wipers blades look nice but could do with getting the chrome arm to match.

Im trying to paint the glove box's but not sure what to do about the leather top on them. Do you need to take the leather cover off or can you use some sort of spray on top of it. Cheers for the help in advance!

Does anyone know if there is any association with a breakdown company through the forum. Or any suggestions on a good breakdown service that includes Europe. Cheers in advance.

Question to all the clued up people. I just checked my oil and it seems pretty low. Im off to the N-Ring on the 23rd June and was going to have a service and oil change just before, but im a little worried that I need the oil sooner. Im currently using Royal purple and was wondering if anybody know's where I could get it a top up bottle, without importing. Otherwise what else could I use to top up with for now? Thanks in advance:thumbs:

I am just trying to fund an na-t conversion myself. The cost I have been given was 3.5k all fitted with turbofit, and had a great chat with them. Popped in to check it all out and they had two na-t's on the go. I know they have done a good few, so seems like the place to go. I also toyed with the idea of selling up for a tt manual, but I like my na to much, and for the same money I can have a good na-t conversion. I got quoted only £100 more for the conversion, than having a tt, with Sky insurance, which I found through the club.

Ash, I told about this last week, I think all them late shifts your doing have pickled you. Are we still going today everyone? Can make it a bit later if need be but im heading up in about 20 mins
-
do we have a time for this meet, how about 2pm. Westbound side of the services. Suggestions for a drive when we get there, but i know a few good pubs round this way, if thats what people fancy!
-
I probablw will not be able to make the first meeting point, but could join up near petersfield. At a rough guess what time do you think you will leave Winchester. Also how long will the event go on for, and any other info would be cool. Cheers

In answer to the dial question, they were very easy to fit. When they arrive they come with an A4 piece of paper with simple instructions. They slide straight on over your old ones. Just getting over the needles is the tricky part. But at least you do not have to take them off. There are many threads on here about how to spray the dash, but heres a quick how I did it. - Removed all parts to paint from car, and take out all heaters and switches. Mask up what needs to be covered i.e switches, lighter auxillary lights panels - Used 3m scotch guard and little paint thinner(being careful not to melt plastic) to get off rubber surface. This is the hard part btw as you must get every tiny bit off. My thumbs were killing me after. - Sand down with a very fine wet and dry, then make sure surface is clean using soapy water. Make sure its completely dry. Prime with Halfords white primer( use clear if not planning on spraying a white dash - £7 ish), do three coats in 20 min intervals. Leave to dry for 24hr - Sand again but this time use lots of water on the wet n dry rubbing very lightly(your only trying to take off the rough bitson the surface). Again make sure its clean and then dry. Using your main colour (i used halfords white basecoat spray £7ish), again do three coats in 20 mins intervals, but make sure your not concentrating on one area, as it will run. But do make sure to get all the way round and underneath to the parts that are always visible. If you need more coats, then do more it does not matter. Then leave for at least 24hr. - Sand again with very fine wet and dry and looooads of water, again lightly.(after you have put the base coat on it feels rough, thats why you are sanding it). Then again make sure its clean and dry. Then using halfords clear laquer(£7ish), do three coats again allowing around 20 min intervals. Leave for 24 hr, and there we go. This is only how I did it, so sorry if people have used other methods and do not agree with this. Also, you may need more cans of spray then I have put down, depending on the area you are spraying. Happy DIY'ing:d
