Sorry if this is a silly question, but. Anyone know how to test an 02 sensor to see if its still working.

  6. Hello, could someone please advise on some good spark plugs for a UK Spec TT. Cheers in advance
  7. Thanks for all your help with this, and to everyone else. I will be in contact once she is closer to making a decision. Cheers
  8. Hello, Could anyone give me any info on Nissan Figaro's. The girlfriend would really like one and I really keen to help her out. Any kind of specs, what price and are they reliable? She is not to good at car mechanics, and we also live quite far apart. Many thanks in advance for any replys.
  9. For sale, one Apexi Induction kit, done around 5000k, will fit a j spec car. I bought this a week ago off this section but found out it would not fit my UK spec. I also got a custom made heat shield for it, £50 for the APexi £30 for the shield Or £70 for the pair. This is what I paid for them and obviously they have not been used by me. Will post pics tomorrow.

    Tyres

yeah should be that but will probably be about 150 by the time the disposal charge and balance is added. Any how means it should all be back on the road tomorrow, hopefully for the weather to get a bit better in the next few days.

    Tyres

Somewhere around the ealing area, there are a couple of kwik fits near. Somewhere close though as my tyres have no tread left anywhere. Just what remains after the nurburgring on a stupidly hot day.

    Tyres

yeah thats web prices. I have also found the goodyears for 134, but then kwik fit stick on there extra charges. That is a good deal you have there, but Durham is a little far for me to go unfortunately. Cheers for the help though, I think I may go with the goodyears.

    Tyres

Got the Falkens on at the moment and they have been ok. Any idea what the R888 are like as a general tyre. Will they not wear super quick? Also the main reason for the first two is that kwikfit will do a price match on them as they are two of the only three models that they stock in that size.

    Tyres

I have nailed my choice of new tyres down to three. But cant decide. Any one know what the best one is. There all around the same price, so no issues there. Just a bit of advice needed. 1 - Dunlop SP Sport max 2 - Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymetric 3 Toyo T1R 265/35/18 cheers
  16. Will have a search. Whens the next meet then Homer. Need to say hello. Plus my mate who is a ex car valleter just cleaned my car and it needs showing off a little. (cheers to Fuller for that). Also im not happy that they stopped the monthly meet at the ace cafe, I now only live 1 mile from there. Any ideas what happened?
  17. Whats the best replcemant for this filter. Mine came with the HKS on. Most posts about filters that I see say put an original airbox back on. Thanks for all the help with this, hopefully I should have new rear boots tomorrow so I can drive leagally again and try the new o2 sensor. Will let you know the outcome.
  18. im sure it was not directly after the filter. But I will check. Just for reference its an aftermarket HKS filter. All cats still in place, still a standard system
  19. it smells a bit rich on start up, but thought this would be normal as its just warming itself up
  20. Would that of come of at a specific point? Another thing I took off the large induction pipe that connects the air filter to the block and found a slightly damp black oil/paste like substance attached the side. Same kijnd of build up found in any engine but not sure if its meant to be in there.
  21. The power kicks in a lot more from about 4500 revs and get a kick at around the rev range but assume thats the secind turbo coming in. My garage has driven it quite alot as it has been back and forward for brakes etc and they have never said anything. Also its a UK spec engine if that helps
  22. just checked the oil cap and nothing white there. Plus I did have a look at the coil packs on saturday and they looked ok. The engine only went in end of feb and I ask the guys at the garage about the plugs which they said were all fine went the engine went in.
  23. no its never gone above the middle, and when the car is running ok, it feels fine.
  24. I had my engine changed to a tt back in Febuary and barring a few tweaks its been running fine. This was until I drove to Europe a few weeks ago for snowboarding and a trip to the nurburgring. On the way down the car started to judder under acceleration around and under 4000rpm. This came and went during the journey and after arriving I called my garage. Now I know that my o2 sensor was nearly gone but obviously was not the easiest part to get in the Austrian alps, so I reset the ecu to try a quick fix for the return. It was fine all the way to the ring, but during my first lap in started again. I left and headed home. Now I have changed the sensor but not had a chance to try it as I need some nrw tyres. Im explaining all this because I have noticed that white smoke comes out on starting the car but soon stops, and upon researching this most answers have come up with gasket problems through moisture. Also one thing I read had the same symptoms as mine with the juddering and the smoke and it turned out to be the head gasket. Im going to call my garage tomorrow but wanted some opinions first from some supra knowledgeable people. Thanks in advance.
