  1. Mines given up the ghost. Trying to get hold of a Thor one, but they seem to be out of stock. So anything of the same standard.
  2. Also, quick question. If Thor are out of stock of their converter/delimetre, does anyone know where to get one, or something of similar standard. Not the cheap crap of EBAY
  3. That would explain why the pink wire is cut behind my odometre. But its the actual speedo thats dropping out, and I don't really want the speed in KPH. What puzzles me is why the wires coming from the chip are attached to the back of the speedo.
  4. Hello, been having trouble for a while with my speedo. It drops out quite a lot, and when it does the odo does not clock up. I have been through the guides from steveR and checked all the connections. Weirdly though, I have an F.E.S chip which connects to the back of the actual cluster, and the wire colours differ to that of the Thor chip used in SteveR's guide. I do have el-glo dials which i believe can affect things but they have been fine for years, and I have moved the power input away from the speedo. Any ideas before I fork out for a new chip only to find its something else, that and Thor seem to be out of stock. CHeers

    le Mans

Is anyone heading to Le Mans this weekend. I am heading down Friday morning. My friend has backed out but already bought a ticket. Another friend is going to try and sell it on the door, but if anyone here needs one I could do it for £100. That includes camping and entrance. Let me know if your interested or heading that way. Would be nice to drive down with some people.

    Air Con

Sorry, I think I did not explain myself properly. I have not had it re-gassed since I got it four years ago. I was just seeing if I should check for anything else before going for the standard re-gas. cheers

    Air Con

Just reading a few threads on air con as mine seems to have stopped working. The light still comes on but no cold air. Other than re-gassing is there anything I should look for that could tell me otherwise. Only asking before I go and spend money on a re-gas. Cheers for any help in advance.
  9. Hello, yeah still here just about. Just finished the snowboard season, so onto summer business now. Means I will be in the country for more than a week. Will try and get along to the next meet.
  10. That will be me. I used to live in Basingstoke, but not around much any more. Do you still have the Basingstoke meet on a Sunday?
  11. thanks for all the info, I believe either one will do as I think its going into an E type jag.
  12. cheers for that, would you know which model it comes of tt/n/a etc and any ideas on the best way to get one? Cheers
  13. I am trying to find out about this or these gearboxes for a friend. I no nothing about the model numbers as such. Is this from a Mk III or IV. What would be the going rate for a decent one. Any help appreciated.
  14. Just came of my UKTT not that I think that makes a difference. Worked fine whilst it was on, and looks in ok condition. Offers welcome, probably collection only. Saying that Im always driving around the south and midlands in the van so may be able to deliver. cheers
  15. cheers for that, looks like the best place to me, they even offer a price match. Much appreciated
  16. Sounds like the offside rear wheel bearing is on its way out. Does anyone have a spare in good condition and could you let me know a price if you do. cheers
  17. Sounds like the power steering pump has gone. Does anyone have a decent one for sale, or know where to locate one. 95 UKTT cheers
  18. I know long time no speak, funny I have just been passed Reading tonight, my old man lives down the A33. So I may take you up on that. Will check that thread first. Is there still a reading meet going on these days. Gutted they stopped the Ace cafe, I only live 1 mile away.
  19. Not sure the name of the convertor but the orginal blue (mph) wirt from the back of the sppedo connects to the yellow (kph) wire which goes into the convertor. Ot of the convertor is the a red wire, blue, and a green. They all connect to the back of the speedo on the circuit board. The blue wire also connects with a lighter blue wire, which then goes to the odometer. What I found weird was the point at which the green (earth) wire connects to the back of the speedo, has a 12v reading on the multimeter when tested. A little confused you might say.
  20. My speedo keeps dropping out. Then all of a sudden it works again, had it out and changed the connectors on the kph/mph convertor, but no luck. Checked with the multimeter and everything has power. All other gauges are fine. Any help welcome. Secondly the power steering keeps coming in and out. The guy next door reckons its the pump, as the fluid is ok, and I have checked the crank pulley, or whetever its called, did the white mark thing and its still in line after some miles. All help very welcome, and if it would be the pump, anyone got one for sale. cheers in advance.

    Steering

Just had a mechanic looking at next doors car and so I asked him if he could take a look. He said it was the washer in the pump, he reckons he could hear it or something. Is this something that also makes the steering heavy? Steering seems a bit lighter today. Im confused:confused:
