Thanks for all the replies. Still not sure exactly what im going to do but the Do Lucks maybe an idea. What colour are the ones you have for sale. Cant quite tell from the picture. Cheers
-
Yeah the riidox ones would probably work the best. My plan is for a trial or do luck rear bumper. Might have a play around with the stock bumper this weekend. See how that looks with the veilside skirts. That way I could spend the money on a trial rear or the carbon bonnet up for sale on here.

Hello, Need some opinions. I currently have the Veilside skirts which I got with the overfenders. I took the overfenders off as I was not keen on the look. I know there are some mixed opinions on the Veilside skirts as I have seen in previous threads, however each to there own. My issue is they dont seem to go well with the Do luck front with its more aggressive look and shaper corners. I do have the stock bumper with a subtle Bomex lip but this looks like it will restrict the FMIC. My second option are these Regulus skirts I picked up last week. These go better with the DO Luck front but are a bit fatter at the front which im not sure on. Here are a couple of pics, what do people reckon.

Need a bit of direction on how to replace the compressor. I was leaving my garage yesterday and when I started the car my mechanic asked if the squeaking noise had been there for a while. After a closer inspection and playing around with A/C button and fan speed its seems to be related to the A/C. Sounds like the bearings on its way out. So what I need is - - Where to get a new compressor, and is that all I need? - Anyone have a guide on changing this as I have use of a workshop so would rather do it myself Many thanks for any replies

Cheers for the advice, just to clarify are you meaning to create a circuit direct from the battery? Cheers - - - Updated - - - Cheers for the advice, just to clarify are you meaning to create a circuit direct from the battery? Cheers

Quick question. I have a new downpipe with boss already welded in, ready for the sensor to go straight on this Thursday , however I was trying to be prepared by mounting the gauge into the dash this evening. If the sensor is disconnected is there any harm in connected up the gauge to the power, so that I do not have to take the dash off again on Thursday? Im sure I read somewhere that the sensor should be installed first, but cant see the issue if its not connected to the power/gauge. Any ideas? cheers

Any idea why this is not connected, and cleaning engine pipework help
cainhead replied to cainhead's topic in Supra Chat
After a little investigation I think thats the charcoal canister. I found a technical thread by Ian C about the sequential system and initially it does say to the pressure tank, however two posts up someone has corrected it as being the charcoal canister. Looking at this in my engine I see one pipe runs to one side of the intake manifold and the other dissapears off round the back of the engine. Any idea of seeing where this come out Cheers -
Hello, Anyone know what the white circled pipe is meant to be connected to. I noticed it when changing all the vacuum pipes. The car was originally an n/a and I had UK TT put in. Runs ok but it worries me that after seeing pictures of other supra engined this is connected. Also as you can see in the picture the engine seems to be oxidizing on the metal pipes. Any idea of best way to clean this up. Cheers

I used the photo guide MKIV.COM, and re checked it again when I replaced all the pipes last summer. Also if it was plumbed wrong would the car not run funny, and have no turbo at all. I bought the BC a few years back but didn't really play about with it much as I was waiting until I sorted out the BPU mods, hence not really noticing these issues before. This is the guide I used http://mkiv.com/techarticles/blitz_dsbc/index.html Which part is disabling the tvsv Cheers

What you have said is how I read it in the manual and from other posts, so that's what I have been trying, but the boost never goes above what it makes in the off mode. Going to have a good read through the manual again this evening, but it's not a complicated device to operate which is annoying me even more. One question. In the off mode I take it the solenoid just let's the boost vacuum pass through as if it were not there. If the controller was faulty could effect this even in the off mode? Cheers for your comments so far. All the fun of owning the car I guess!

Have adjusted the gain, but not the offset. Didnt see that in the manual online. I thought the gain changed how quickly they came in rather than how much boost you made. Have 2nd decat and HKS exhaust.

Having a few issues with my boost controller. Its a Blitz SBC Dual controller. I have set it up as per recommendations I have read on the forum, but it doesnt seem to make a difference with the boost. Its seems to be limiting it to around 0.6 bar in all 4 presets. When I set it to off, it lets it boost to 1.2 and over. I having to keep an eye on the boost gauge so that I dont go over this. However yesterday even in switched off mode it limited it at 0.8. Something funny is going on. So what would really help me out is if anyone has a boost controller that I could borrow for a weekend to test the car with. One they know is working. I am in the London area but do travel a lot and could pick it up. Any help is much appreciated. PM me if yo can help. Many thanks

TT - how much would you want for it. Cheers -
Are ok, thats what i had been told previously it might be, so nice to get the same opinion from a couple of people. Getting it booked in for this next week.

Thanks for the advice on that. Do you mean VSV's? TSIA - sorry for hijacking your thread. Will stop now!

Does it continue or clear after running? Only ask as my blows scary amounts of white smoke on star up but clear after a while? I was thinking stem seals but not sure after seeing this.

Thanks Nic, any other recommendations on ecu, or any other devices to control afr etc. I'm not trying for major power, happy with the BPU but just want to make sure it's all running well. Cheers

Thanks for the reply, would you know what sort of price I would be looking at for the mapping. - - - Updated - - - Also anyone any ideas on the question about finding hks in Tokyo. Cheers
-
Hello, Bit of advice needed. I have gone BPU on my 95UKTT and was thinking I should get some sort of ecu piggy back to help control afr etc. The reason I mention the HKS Fcon is that I am heading to Tokyo next month and wondered if it's worth trying to pick one up whilst I am there. With the exchange rate being really good right now, I thought it would be worth investigating to see if I can save a decent amount of cash. So what I'm asking is, can I get one in Japan for my spec car and does anyone know where to order from. Also what's the pros/cons to the hks unit against other brands. Thanks for any answers in advance.

Cheers Nic, that's the simple answer I was after. I'm one of those people who can do the complicated tasks but struggle with the straightforward ones. This will be the closest the misses gets to driving the supra

One question. Reading through the manual it said to pump the fluid through until non comes out the tighten the billed nipple. Would I then need to fill the resovoir with new fluid and pump that through for each wheel.

I saw your previous posts on this. Had a look on ebay for one. Will put the misses to good use for now and save myself the cash. But worth the investment in the future.
