  1. Just looking at buying some clear lenses of another member, and need some help. Are the outside (indicator) and inside (fodgreverse) covers the same size. Cheers
  2. Hello, Need a bit of help. Just tried to do the LED heater control light conversion (Hecklers website guide). Could not work out how to test it without putting back together and testing in car. I guess you need a 12v source. I have a jumper pack. But no idea where to connect it. Also when I did connect in the car only the LED's which replaced the existing ones worked. The new ones on the strip did not. Dimmer work and fan steal go's but no lights in buttons. Any ideas?
  3. Just managed to get the video of the noise uploaded. See here -
  4. Okay, any ideas on best place to get one, and also the aux tensioner. its a UK TT manual. Is it best just to order from Toyota. Might do the lot. Lastly any good guides on how to do it? cheers
  5. Well got the aux belt off, and now back on. Unfortunately is none of them. The aux tension-er is a little rough, kind of like if there was a little sand in there, so that may need changing, however still have the noise when car is running and belt is off. I took the cam cover off, and the one just below it. Noise definitely seems to be coming from in there. Is there anyway it could be the cam gears? There is a very small amount of movement whilst running in the left one. Cant quite see the tensioner, any way of uncovering it without a major job. Any help very welcome!
  6. Excuse my lack of knowledge on this, but whats the best way doing that. I'm not a complete novice but I have never removed this. Cheers
  7. Cheers for the advice, I did the tipex test on the crank pulley a few years ago but will give it another go. Is it the same idea with the other pulley's in terms of the test. cheers
  8. Sounds kind of bearing related on one of the pulley's, as its speeds up as the engine revs. Its not constant but every 3 seconds or so get a noise like you get if a wheel is not oiled, kind of a rubbing squeak. I have got a video from my phone but not sure of the best way to upload it. Any ideas/help much appreciated.
  9. It was used in James Bond - You only live twice. Would love one if I had a spare $1'000'000
  10. Just looking at tidying up the car and came across these guys on EBAY. Anyone had any experience with them. Good or Bad? Cheers http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-Supra-1993-1998-RDX-Style-Body-Kit-Side-Skirts-/251741626251?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3a9cf85f8b
  11. Hello, also Cheers for the replies. Will check out the mounting points tomorrow but will probably give the struts a miss.
  12. As the title suggests. Any recommendations or ideas on the best place to get these. I was looking through the for sale section and someone has a set for sale from a group buy, however when I look on the manufacturers website they say not suitable for Carbon bonnets. Any help much appreciated. Cheers
  13. Just checking that there is definitely a convoy going from Clackett Lane. From what I read it was 3pm but can someone confirm please. Cheers and see you all there
  14. Would be very interested in this. I make the trip the Aviemore (boat of garden) every year for a memorial golf weekend and it is a great drive. Also it would be great to play a famous course whilst we are there if anyone would be interested. I also have a friend who owns a restaurant /tourist stop on the A9 north of Inverness on the inlet of the Cromarty firth. It's stunning and I'm sure they would love us to stop. Plenty of parking and good photo opportunities. I worked for the Canonball run in Europe and the US so would be happy to help putting this together. Someone also mentioned knock hill. What's the possibility of a track day?
  15. Does anyone know anywhere in the UK that I can get the replacement white race for the aem afr gauge. Found them in the states but not here. Cheers
  16. Just had a thought. Would my car battery booster pack work as a 12v power supply. I read that people have used them in this way.
  17. All done, cheers for the help. Now just to check the vsv's. I have removed the iacv vsv and have checked it with my multimeter, however I can only get a reading when the meter is set on 200k of which I get a reading of 83.6. The manual states 38.5 - 44 ohms, and I'm no good out working them things out. Does anyone know if this sounds right. Also what's the best thing to use to run air through it. Also as its dark outside anyone with any ideas of what I could use to test the vsv with a 12v power supply whilst I'm inside and bored. Cheers
  18. Got the VSV off and will test it tonight. Does anyone know if when reinstalling the boost controller whilst in TTC I need to plum it in any differently than the normal instruction. Cheers
  19. Just noticed I put that the boost controller eliminate the IACV which is me talking rubbish, it eliminates the waste-gate VSV. Anyhow thanks for the reply, and excuse my ignorance but what is the BGB. cheers
  20. OK I have been having some odd boosting lately and thought I would play about with taking boost controller on and off etc. When the controller is on I seem to have to have it set quite high (70 with a gain of 18 - Blitz Dual SBC) to achieve 1.0 bar. The car is BPU. In 1st and second I dont seem to get much over 0.7 but it does increase through the gears, which I think is normal. When i removed the controller the car ran okay and was similar to with the controller, however today the second turbo is not coming online at all. I have stuck it in TTC mode and all is well both turbos online, I stopped going for it at 1.0 bar and have to admit I quite like they way it drives. I do seem to have a broken VSV/actuator. From my long winded explanation does it point to a specific one, and anyway to trouble shoot it simply. I have read Ian C's thread on the sequential system and that would point to the IACV which I believe is made redundant with a boost controller which would explain why it works with the controller. - Please correct me if im talking rubbish. On another note, would running the TTC mod on a standard ECU cause many issues. I did read a very long thread about it but that question was not answered fully, and which type of the TTC should I do to run permanently. Cheers for any help in advance.
  21. Mines a UK so no restrictor ring. Also I thought BPU increased the stock boost (0,8), and shouldn't the boost level be the same in the off position as a car with no controller at all. When I remove the controller I get much better boost. Are you sure you gain is at 65, that sound really high as the manual recommends 5 - 25 for the 2JZGTE. Do you mean the volume is 65? Sorry if I sound confusing.
  22. Hello, Need a little help, ive be suspect of my boost controller for a while now as the car is full BPU and when I switch the controller to off, the car still only reaches non BPU stock boots. To get anywhere near 1 bar I have to have a higher than expected setting. Anyway today I reconnected the system as it was before I installed the controller and it seems pretty good. 1.0 bar in the lower gears creeping to 1.1 in 4th then had to slow down. The controller I have is an old Blitz SBC dual solenoid. I always read about them being a pretty good unit, so can anyone let me know if they have had issues and what they may have been. Also does anyone in the London area have a controller I could please borrow for the day to run a test. I could pick it up and drop it straight back when done. All help gratefully appreciated as im really enjoying the car this summer and just want to iron out the few issues I have right now. Cheers
  23. I also thought they were, however I remember having to check the UK box on the whifbitz website when I bought it which was £10 more the JDM.
  24. Can anyone answer this please as I have one for sale and need to know if my UK will fit a JDM. Cheers
